Stretching her arms over her head Fiona let out a yawn. She had recently gotten out of her afternoon class and was currently headed towards the mall. The redhead hadn't even bothered to change out of her school uniform because she was on a mission and that mission was vital to her everyday life.

You see Fiona Watson was a very vain individual, one who always made sure that she looked good. At least from her perspective. Following that vein the nineteen year old had an obsession with make-up and due to her vanity her make up always had to match her outfits. Today she sported a natural look, browns with just a small blue highlight.

Unfortunately for her it was not quite the look that she had wanted to achieve, she ran out of her favorite shade of brown that was more of an auburn color. She was forced to stick with lighter browns and tans that resembled the color of her dress far too closely for her liking.

So here she was at the new beauty store that had opened up at the beginning of fall, browsing their eyeshadow collections.

"Could it be?! No, it can't-- Fiona?!" Elegancia exclaimed, waltzing over to the tan-skinned beauty. "Why is it that I haven't seen you in ages?" Elegancia twisted a spare lock of glossy hair in her dainty fingers, all the while smiling at the familiar face. "How have you been?" It was kind of awkward-- she really didn't know what to say. Elegancia felt as though she was stuck in a situation she wish she hadn't of encountered at all.

There was a point where they were practically joined at the hip, but that time had long since ended-- that was, what, years ago?

The brunette recalled a specific memory, when Elegancia had first seen Fiona's lovely eyes. They were distinctly unique, but Elegancia did like her uniformity-- and uniform her eyes were not. Although, it was hard to dislike them, since they were both just so lovely. They each had a distinct and beautiful color, so it was almost as if it were the best of both worlds. Elegancia waited expectantly for a response from Fiona.

The first flicker of emotion that crossed Fiona's features was confusion as someone called her name. As she turned that confusion melted into delight. "Elegancia!" She shrieked grinning widely. "You know, school keeps me busy," she told the girl tucking a lock of her hair back behind her ear. School, dragonflies and most importantly being a senshi actually. Not that she could exactly say that out loud. You never knew who was the enemy these days.

"Things have been fine I guess," she shrugged unsure how to describe her adventures. "I've fallen a little out of touch with society it seems though," she laughed. "Can you believe that? Me out of touch with society?" She shook her head. It was hard to imagine because while the girl kept to herself at times she was certainly a social butterfly. It seemed like going to Sovereign Heights had a definite impact on her and whether it was good or not, well that was up for debate.

"How have you been?" She asked falling into the normal basic conversation outline. It was a tad bit awkward but meeting up with someone you hadn't seen it years was always awkward. "You look stunning by the way," she commented staring at Elegancia as if she was trying to find out how much the girl had changed.

"What happened to us?"

Out of touch with society? Well, it wasn't that big of a pill for Elegancia to swallow. Although the two girls had been extremely close at one point, Fiona had always been a different girl. She made sure to do the things that were expected of her, but she always seemed to kind of... March to the beat of her own drum? Elegancia admired her for even having the ability to do so. Maybe catching up wouldn't be such a tedious and awkward task after all?

"Oh, don't I know it," was all Elegancia managed to squeak in joy when Fiona complimented her, then continued, "you don't look so bad yourself! Lovely as ever, and still such an exotic beauty." Elegancia smiled diminutively, then flipped another glossy lock behind her shoulders. She made a habit of doing so for some reason, maybe because her hair was so soft that it fell and framed her face quite often. When Fiona asked the question about what had happened to them, she really had to think it over.

She strolled forward, almost beckoning for Fiona to follow. Looking around at everything there was, she thought of what to say, but couldn't say it. Elegancia wanted to say, "Well, you know, I'm the sailor-suited Soldier of Wealth, Sailor Rosalind," but things didn't really work like that. So, instead, she fell back on something that would be easy for Fiona to buy into-- "well, you know how I am-- a huge flake!! Flaky as ever, even. I just... forget to do things, honestly, and unless I'm hounded by someone, I'd probably never get anything done!"

Was she overselling it? Maybe.

Fiona couldn't help but smile at Elegancia as she accepted the compliment easily. She was always so self-assured and if there was anyone more vain that the redhead it was her old friend and she was fine with that. They had always been the best looking duo around and she knew that. They had been so close and yet when Fiona left Crystal Academy, and even in the year before that, they had grown so far apart.

Could they really fix it?

"Why thank you," she replied tilting her head slightly and lifting her hands in "well you know" gesture, "I am what I am." Her regular tennis matches kept her out in the sun to keep her tanned and her dual colored eyes always made people stop and stare. She was the only person that she had ever seen in Destiny City with heterochromia.

She chuckled softly before following her friend. Her excuse seemed flimsy to the girl who used to know her better than the back of her own hand but so much time had passed that she wasn't sure that she could trust her instincts. Though it did seem like she was playing it up a bit. Still Fee didn't see the point in pushing the matter. So she played along.

"You always were a flake, I suppose it didn't help that I couldn't bother you everyday like I used to," she sighed. "We'll have to arrange a date to spend time and catch up a little more, didn't you graduate this June?"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 12, 2010 5:43 pm

"Well, yes, I suppose you could say I graduated. I took a test, passed it, and got a certificate in the mail." She seemed melancholy, but didn't want to dwell in it, so decided to change the subject. "So, we're at a makeup store-- enough of this dilly-dallying and idle chit-chat, let's get down to why we're here-- to shop!!"

Elegancia danced around a table of autumn-themed colors. Unfortunately, they weren't really 'her' style, but maybe, just maybe, Fiona would like one or two. There were myriads of colors to choose from. There were the neutral blacks, oranges, browns, a few yellows, and even a really pretty green-ish color-- unfortunately, they were a bit more expensive than the rest, since they were the ones being featured by the store. She picked up a test lipstick, ran it across her wrist, and then turned to Fiona with a smile from ear-to-ear.

"You know what we should do?" She asked, looking down at her rest, then back at Fiona, "we should give you a make-over! Doesn't that sound like fun? I'll let you pick some colors! Then, maybe, I'll let you try some on me!"

Fee still knew the girl well enough to know when she didn't want to talk about something so she dropped the topic of graduation completely. Sometimes someone didn't want to talk about something and in this particular instance, the redhead understood. She laughed and nodded, "I agree!"

She had almost forgotten why she had come to the store in the first place. "I'm running low on browns," she commented sliding over to the table and looking over the selections of browns that the table had to offer. While the prices were not ideal, because they were more expensive, it didn't matter much to the girl. She never had to worry about money.

She was so engrossed in her investigation, as she was currently studying the shade of a darker brown against the pretty green, she almost missed Elegancia's statement. She blinked, looked over, thought about it and nodded. "I like it, you've always had such a good sense of style and colors. It sounds fun."

The two girls giggled and gossiped as Elegancia applied the makeup that Fiona had selected. It was nice being able to do something such as this once more-- Elegancia didn't really have time for such frivolous activies, as she honestly was knee-deep in her duty as a soldier. Indeed, if Perseus, or any other soldier who had her information in their phones, called her, she'd have to leave Fiona high-and-dry. With half-applied makeup, no less!

Elegancia swathed blush across Fiona's cheeks, making her eyes pop out compared to her cheeks. It really was times like this that Elegancia realized how lovely her old friend's eyes were. "Okay, I think I'm almost done here," she stated, sticking the tip of her tongue out in concentration. "I'll admit, though, I may have went a tad overboard!" She proceeded to grab a tiny cotton ball, dabbled some excess eyeshadow off of Fiona's lids, and then smiled.

She took a few steps back, smiled even wider, then clapped her hands together. "I must say, it really does look like a work of art." Elegancia grabbed a hand-mirror off of a nearby table, handed it to Fiona, and waited for a response. "I really do hope you like it-- you know what they say, do unto others, as they would do unto you..." Elegancia kept in mind that Fiona would be doing her makeup shortly thereafter-- and if she didn't like what Elegancia had done, she may have gone out of her way to make her look a little... Well, a little less-pretty.

Fiona was enjoying this little reunion very much so. It had been so long since she had been with someone whom she trusted enough to apply makeup on her. After all, while her taste was somewhat questionable, Fee was very picky about how she looked. It was surprising that she so readily agreed!

While the girls definitely chatted away she was careful not to speak too much while the makeup was being applied, it would not do her any good to mess Elegancia up! When the other girl finished she took the mirror and made it a point to spend a good few minutes checking out her handy work. She pressed her lips together like she was in deep thought.

"I must say, beautiful work as always," she grinned setting the mirror down. "Now what would you like to see color wise on you?" Ah, girl time was certainly the best.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 19, 2010 10:43 pm

"Of course it's beautiful," she said knowingly, "would you expect otherwise?" She laughed playfully, flipping her locks to the side, then sat herself down next to Fiona. "Well, I'm not too sure what I want exactly..." She looked around the table, expecting each sample's colors-- many of them were very vibrant and vivid, but nothing she'd wear personally. "I like neutral colors. They make my eyes pop!" Nothing like Fiona's did, of course. That'd be nearly impossible.

"So, grey or black would be a safe bet. Maybe even a tone of brown. Something earthy? I'm not sure-- you pick!!" It wasn't often that Elegancia trusted another girl with her makeup, which just proved that the two of them used to be good friends. "Don't botch it, though," she added seriously, "because if you do, I'm afraid I'll be a tad upset." More than upset-- she'd probably throw a fit like when she was a little girl. She wasn't above things like that!

"Anyway, I'm ready!"

Fiona laughed as she moved away from Elegancia to take another look at the wide makeup selection. "Earthy and natural," she mused tapping her chin as she picked up a few shades of brown and that green she really liked. "I can certainly make that work," she stated beginning to apply the eyeshadow on the other girl's eyelids.

Makeup was something that Fiona adored and something she felt she was good at. The reason? She practiced for hours trying to find the best combination. She also had spent hours going through various makeup books, fashion magazines and pictures on the internet to learn more about it.

Yes makeup was certainly one of her passions. One she would let no one tell her she wasn't good at. Obviously she was or Eleglancia wouldn't let her apply any. She added the lightest touches of the green before sweeping over it with a quick swipe of light brown. She added a bit of blush. "Natural colors and earthy tones go very well with your eyes. My favorite shade of green."

"Oh, you flatter me too much, Fiona. Honestly, you do." Elegancia battered her eyelashes in a mini mirror on the counter, enjoying the new touch Fiona had provided to her lovely face. It was nice having a new perspective of makeup to her face. Although Elegancia was more then adept at applying her own cosmetics, it was nice to have someone else do it for you that wasn't a complete dolt at doing so. "Oh, look at the time--" it was fifteen past two o'clock, "I am truly sorry to cut our meeting time short, but I have to get going. Boo."

Elegancia picked herself up and re-adjusted her skirt. Like her meet-up with the young Istas, Elegancia had to cut their time together in half in order to attend a Vogue training session. She, of course, couldn't explain such a delicate topic to her dear old friend Fiona Watson. "I have to go have lunch with my father, sadly. You know how that goes." She rolled her eyes and bit her lip-- lying was something she hated to do. But saying something like 'I'm leaving you in order to meet up with my new friend' sounded worse, so she picked the lesser of two evils. "I really do hope we can reconnect-- I forgot how much I missed you!"

Turning her back to Fiona, Elegancia threw a dainty wave in the air. "Some other time, right?" It really was abrupt, but she supposed that's what it took to be a sailor soldier. Dedication.

Blech.

"It's not really flattering if it's true," Fiona smiled when her friend began to excuse herself. "Ah," there was a touch of disappointment in her tone, "don't worry about it." She waved a hand in the air as if to dismiss her excuse. "Yeah, I do," she replied. And oh how she did, prior obligations that kept her from spending time with most people.

She wasn't oblivious to the lip biting, she knew Elegancia well and could tell when things weren't right. But she said nothing, because really it wasn't important enough not since distance had come between them.

"Of course," she agreed cheerfully. "My number's still the same, just text me whenever," she stated closing up the make-up she had been playing with and putting it away.
