Aziz'Din was crouched down by the longer slivers of grass in a lightly cleared area, not far from the den areas but far enough that folk would not stumble upon him every other minute and disturb his practice. Aziz took the process of becoming a Pad very seriously, and knew that he would need to be able to fend for himself he was ever going to suceed in being a Pad, even though he would have Banu to take care of him and support him as well, if he was not strong, then his Harem would be weak.

One of the key ideas was, of course, hunting. Which was what led him to stalk the butterfly. Okay, so it was not the most manly of prey, but butterflies were skittish and although his sister Atefeh told him not to, they weren't that hard to catch and kill ( which he thought good practice, for what if he took down a prey beast and didn't feel alright with killing it? It would be a useless waste of his time). The butterfly was sitting on a flower not far from where the juvenile was, and as the male crept closer, the butterfly fluttered it's wings, as if sensing something was not quite right.

It was only when he'd pounced did it realise what, exactly, was wrong and by then it was too late. His paws clamped around the bug, squishing it between the pads of his paws as he tumbled, somewhat gracefully but mostly not, to the ground. Instead of flopping around like one might expect a youth of his age to, Aziz'Din scrambled to his feet, standing firm and tall as he examined his 'kill'. It was certainly dead, which was good and he'd caught it, but he had caught it with his paws, not his teeth. He frowned. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Hunting was a complicated process, and he wanted to make sure he had it just right before he moved onto larger prey.

User Image Kame'bufuu had been passing by on his way back to his den when he noticed the little purple colored Pesar hunting butterflies. He couldn't help but smile, considering what he had decided to chose as prey. Butterflies were terrible choices, but he didn't expect a juvenile to know such a thing and wouldn't tell him otherwise. Children had to learn on their own, after all. A parent, or a community simply couldn't hold their hand throughout everything and expect the child to grow up well adjusted and capable of all that was expected; however, in a community setting lending one's assistance to the growing youth was an obligation for everyone and so Kame made his way over to the young Pesar.

"Good Day Pesar!" Kame called loudly as he made his way over. He did not want to scare the young boy by walking up to him silently and only alerting him to his presence until he was right there. It may be funny to do to his own sons, who knew their father was merely playing with them, but to do so to another Pad's son could result negatively, especially if the child doesn't understand the game.

Kame was well aware of who's child he was associating himself with at the time. There was only one family within the pride that held those purple colors; the Sultan Aali's. Kame's decision to talk to the Pesar was not politically motivated, like others would be. If Kame was asked honestly about who he would give his daughter's too, he would merely laugh. He never imagined giving any of his daughters away, and if it were up to him they'd all stay at their tender ages until the day he died. He never imagined that having children would make him selfish, but he was definitely selfish about his daughters, his sons as well. He didn't want them to grow up.

Aziz'Din purposely did not jump when the other male called out to him. He tensed his entire body, so that he didn't flinch in surprise and instead calmly turned his head, wiping his paws on the ground carefully to remove the traces of the bug from them, midly embaressed to be discovered huting butterflies. How...childish.

He quickly sought out the male who'd called to him, and his eyes widened minutely. He knew of him, of course he did, Aziz'Din prided himself on knowing everyone in the pride, though sometimes he forgot, but he was working on that. However, he knew of this male. Pad Kame'bufuu, also known as the father of Hazina, the banu who had sought him out to speak with not days ago. She had been interesting to speak with and now he had the opportunity to talk to her father? Interesting coincidence. Perhaps he could...investigate her family a little more, see how they interact. The father was, of course, the most important member of the family and the rest of the family would revolve around his actions.

"Greetings Pad Kame'bufuu," He called back, careful not to call too loudly, knowing his voice sounded less...squeaky if he did that, even though his voice was not designed to sound manly yet. He still sounded like a kid. He frowned a little, but shook off the thought. "Enjoying the fine weather?" He said, perhaps to make small talk, and maybe to sound older. He stayed where he was, waiting for the elder male to approach him rather than to meet him half way. He was always curious about the males in his father's pride, they were usually interesting talking companions, even if some of them he found...unsavoury. He hoped Kame'bufuu would not be one of those.

Kame approached Aziz'Din at his leisure. After all, he did a lot during the day and found himself growing weary quicker than he used to, so if he was going to make small talk with the young ones it was going to be on his terms. He was rather curious the young Pesar knew his name, and felt a touch ashamed he didn't know the young one's name in return. He expected that Aziz probably didn't care either way if Kame knew his name, considering there were so many faces in the pride, some were bound to get lost in transition.

Kame chuckled at Aziz's comment regarding the weather. He talked of things only old men mentioned, but he had to admit it was a little endearing, "The weather is fine for someone with a coat as light as yours, Pesar, but for a dark old man like me, the sun's rays are like a constant heat."

He smiled to the purple Pesar the best he could without startling him. Some could never get used to his odd markings and how they made him look so menacing, so he tried his best to seem friendly and docile to the little ones who may see him as scary, though he didn't figure the purple male before him thought that.

"You'll have to beg my pardon young Pesar. I can't seem to recall your name at the moment. It's the old age, you see," Kame said, giving him another small grin.

Upon further inspection one could see the age creeping through in Kame's coat. His face was starting to sprout some light gray hairs upon his mask, which managed to accentuate the age lines in his face. He was an older lion, probably much older than Aziz's own father; at least between 8 - 9 years of age, though Kame couldn't directly remember the years since his birth.

Aziz'Din had not thought of different colours effecting appreciation of the weather, but thinking back over some of the darker pelts within the pride, he could understand the comment, especially looking at Kame's, which was almost as dark as night. His coat was thankfully light, which he was grateful for, considering he disliked heat. “I had not considered that before. I suppose that highlights the usefulness of shading trees and dens, until night falls again at least, for ones with coats such as yours.

He was mildly surprised when the male smiled at him. He wasn't concerned by the mask-like markings, seeing much of Hazina in her father, except for the colours of course. Kame's eyes were what reminded him most of Hazina, save for the colour which different drastically, seeing as one was red and the other blue. He mused to himself that he rather preferred the blue.

He gave a slight frown when the male mentioned that he didn't know his name, though he wiped off his face quickly. He had no right to be insulted, he realised. There was a lot of young Pesar around. “Forgive me, It is my fault, I forgot to introduce myself,” he said calmly, and gave only the slightest smile in return to the grin. Aziz, though a happy cub, had never been one to smile much, perhaps fearing it gave too much of himself away in the gesture. “I am Pesar Aziz'Din.” For a moment, he considered throwing in his father's name and rank, but feared that would be seen as cocky or arrogant. The male should already know his heritage, considering Aziz had some similarities to the Sultan, though he knew sometimes his markings were hard to place.

Both times that Kame's age was mentioned, Aziz had ignored it. He did not see the male as old, simply older than he was. He knew sometimes age effected judgments though, and thought it rude to acknowledge the man's comments of his age.

"Aziz'Din. It is quite a fitting name for a son of Sultan Aali," Kame said, giving a nod. He very much liked A-names, which was probably why he suggested that his favorite son's name be Amjad. It meant "greater glory" and he only hoped his son would live up to the name given to him.

"I saw you practicing your hunting technique by yourself, Pesar Aziz'Din. Don't you practice with your siblings?" He asked genuinely.

All of Kame's children practiced their hunting together. It was good for both the boys and the girls to see how each other executed their technique and learn from whomever was best in the group; however, he knew not every family trained their children similarly and could see how those with varying generations may have trouble teaching them all at once. Kame was thankful his brood were all the same age.

Aziz'Din felt a pleased smile grow on his face, before nodding. Yes, this male did know his father and he was correct about the name too. “It means Great Belief,” he offered. “My father and mothers made sure that we all had joyous or appropriate names.” After all, they were the future of the pride, and even though he was not the Emir, Aziz felt the importance of his life very strongly. He would help the pride in some way.

He looked surprised by the question. “Of course, but that happens rarely now that we are growing. I tend to loose track of my brothers when we are outside of the den and my sisters are often with our mothers taking banu lessons now, as we are growing older and closer to leaving the family den.” He had always enjoyed spending time with his sisters, helping them become better banu, though he rarely – if ever -spent time with his brothers. He supposed he just did not get on as well with them as the females in his family. Even his female cousins and he spent more time together than with his brothers.

Not to mention, much of the time spent as a cub had been spent with people who thought him boring, as he rarely played the normal cub games, preferring to practice things of importance – like hunting, or politeness. As a juvenile, he tended to prefer time spent alone when he was practicing, to avoid people thinking he was boring.

Kame nodded as Aziz spoke. That was certainly very sad to hear from the Pesar's mouth. Far be it from him to judge how things were conducted in the Sultan's house, but it still saddened him to an extent. Possibly it was the fact his only family left that he knew of was here in this pride, and his only children still babies who spent most of their time together. And him, older in age and possibly never to see his grandchildren be born or grown.

He wanted to shake his head at this, but refrained. It wasn't proper of him to. Children were receptive to what body-language meant in such circumstances and he didn't want Aziz to get the wrong idea about his internal dialogue.

"I see," Kame said, a moment's pause as he twiddled with a thought in his mind. Aziz'Din, though young for his age, had the makings of a great Pad, and he had several attributes to him that he could only hope his two sons would take on if in the right company. As it were now, they were spoiled little Pesar, but they needed appropriate male peers. Aziz'Din was quite appropriate.

"If you ever feel the need to practice in a group again, my family and I would warmly welcome you to our lessons. We like training the boys and girls together when it comes to hunting. All must be as close to perfect as they can get, after all. To do so they should learn from each other," Kame said confidently before continuing, "It would also not be a bad idea for them to see how one of their elder peers conduct themselves while hunting."

Aziz'Din was surprised at Kame's offer. He had hoped to make a good impression on the male – just to keep his options open and the fact that he always wanted to impress the elder Pads – but to be offered to be a part of his practicing for the cubs? It was a great honor, or so the juvenile thought. He paused to consider it for a moment, knowing that he would accept but he would likely stumble across Hazina again during the practice. He had to wonder how Kame would react to know that Aziz had already met and interacted with one of his daughters.

He dismissed that thought for a moment, refocusing on the Pad before him. “Thank you for the generous offer, Pad Kame'bufuu,” he responded politely. “I'd be honored to practice with your family. I'm sure I could learn a lot from them and them from me.” Which was true. As much as Aziz would love to be perfect, he wasn't quite there yet but he was very close. He could certainly stand to learn a bit more, and Kame seemed to be a good Pad, and he could only hope that the rest of his cubs were like him and Hazina, driven and polite.
