WHY JOIN THE NAVY? THIS IS MORE FUN. This booth was a booth, but you weren't quite sure WHAT the booth was supposed to be! It was covered in things that didn't really make sense, but looked suspiciously like they were taken from everyone else's booths. Glow sticks, a brush with hot pink paint still on it, a picture of a really good looking girl and what was probably a stack of ribs at one point was set up in the corner of the booth in a faux skull-and-crossbones motif. The red-eyed pirate and his bird sat on a chair behind it, his legs crossed at the ankles on the booth's top. He was too busy eating what was probably a cupcake to really notice that his sign up sheet was pinned under his sandaled foot. It read:"CREW NEEDED. Apply within or something." Test #1Apparently Tobias will only accept crew members who bring him something shiny. In order for the 'Captain' to allow you to have the privilege of serving him, you have to first appease him with a trinket. What do you bring the 'Captain'?

Lilah didn't really have much access to shiny things. Her mom had some shiny scissors, but she wasn't allowed to run with scissors, and she liked to run...Hmm.
So she had brought the only thing she could get her hands on. Proudly she came up to the booth, and dug around in her pockets, dropping some items on the table and smiling.
"Candy coins!" she exclaimed. The tinfoil packaging were very gold and shiny AND there was the bonus of yummy treats inside! How could you go wrong? These ones were even shaped like doubloons.
She looked up expectantly.

In an attempt to get the disturbing encounter with the sock puppet out of his head Pilot headed for a relatively sane looking stall. It was the calm manner in which Tobias was sitting there and eating his cupcake that drew Pilot to him. Reading the info Pilot whistled slightly, smiling. A ship needing a crew? Epic. He'd make an awesome mechanic!
Continuing to read he quirked an eyebrow at what he had to do to join. Something shiny eh? He had plenty of shiny stuff. Digging through his pockets he pulled out a sparkling silver fob watch he'd been planning to pull apart later for the parts and placed it on the desk before walking off happily.

A grumpy looking boy paused before approaching the booth. This one looked odd, that was certain. He frowned as, again, he was ignored and expected to read the cursed paper. Sighing, he struggled with the words before figuring out that he still didn't know what to do.
"Crew? I'm in." The boy half-grunted.
He was regarded for a half a moment before being ordered to being a shrubbery shiny. Fred frowned, glancing about. Where would he find a shiny?
Sighing, the dragon child wandered around the area, hunting for shinies. He found some tin foil but, though shiny, he doubted it would work. So the hunt continued. Finally, he spotted a lady wearing many shiny objects. Heh, this was perfect! He'd get extra points for bragging about stealing the object right off another person, surely!!
Fred watched the woman for several moments while he pondered just how to get that really pretty bracelet off her wrist. There were many on there, but there was one in particular that the boy was wanting. It seemed to sparkle on its own as the light caught the many little diamonds embedded within the intricate metalwork.
Fred delayed a few moments too long, as a scrawny looking boy suddenly bumped into the lady before apologizing and retreating. The dragon curio frowned as he realized that the bracelet he'd wanted (as well as a few others) was now missing! Hissing, he took off after the pickpocket, who'd paused in a nearby alley to gloat over his prizes.
The scrawny kid was no match for Fred, who had the advantage of weight, size, and surprise. The thief was quick to thrust the bracelets into Fred's hands and flee. Fred glanced down. He only needed the one, really. Slipping it into a pocket, he turned and found the woman again.
"Miss?" He quickly continued on as she looked at him and started to back away. "That boy who bumped into you... he took these." Fred held up the missing bracelets (minus the one he'd wanted to get). The lady's eyes went wide as she glanced at her wrist and noticed less shiny things there than before.
"Oh, you dear boy! Thank you!" She took the bracelets and put them on before fishing into her purse. "Here, a reward for a nice young man!" She placed some money in Fred's open hands before turning away to continue her shopping.
Fred grinned. This was turning out to be pretty awesome! Not only had he gotten the bracelet for the kid at the booth, he'd gotten some money too! He put the money into a pouch on his belt before heading back to where Tobias sat.
"Here!" He dangled the bracelet from his hand, letting it catch the light as he handed it over to Tobias. "Now can I join?"

Tarot stared at the booth, trying to figure out what it was. Was there even a theme? Didn't look like it. And the sign. Crew needed. Crew needed for what? How did one apply, anyway?
The sign didn't say, but looking at the booth Tarot assumed an offering would have to be made. Tarot actually did something impulsive just then. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of quatz she carried around a lot, something that glittered and sparkled gorgeously if the light hit it right.
Was this what was needed to join?

This was interesting! So many strange children wandering about! Nimue The Great And Wonderful And The Most Amazing Magician In The Universe whistled a happy tune to herself as she walked by each booth, looking as marvelous and spectacular as she always did. Why wouldn't she? Even in her dreams she was amazing. But how peculiar that she was in a dream with people she had never heard of before! Or even seen glimpses of! Perhaps this was a mass hallucination that she had stumbled upon? Aw, man! Not again! Damnit! Why did that always happen to her? She sighed and put her hands on her hips, looking around for some sort of way out. That was when she spotted him. Looking confident and cocky. And eating the manliest thing a little boy could possibly eat: A cupcake.
Crew needed, huh?
What an interesting setup he had going here! Nimue walked up to the booth with a curious little hum, looking it over. Everyone seemed to be bringing him things...but what could she offer? It had to be something spectacular. Something incredible. Something that screamed 'this is from Nimue!' maybe even literally...she could do that! She totally could. But for now she should just go with something...'practical'. The very thought had her scoffing. What could she offer him? He was a pirate, right? So where was his sword?! Pirates needed swords! That was just silly, a pirate without a sword. "Where's your sword?!" She asked appalled, sighing and tugging at her sleeves for a moment. He needed one, definitely. Nimue reached into her sleeve with two fingers, digging around for a moment with a look of great concentration until she suddenly whipped her hand back, in her fingers was the handle of a gold jewel encrusted scimitar. It was new, it was shiny, and even the blade was engraved with strange pretty symbols. The handle was made of gold, and it had a line of precious gems along it as decoration.
"This is good to join your crew, aye?" She asked proudly, putting the sword gingerly on the table for him. Surely this was just perfect!
