It had been a while since Maria had been to the D-Corp building, not since their family moved out of their small apartment there and into their current house out in the country. Seeing in the distance she found her hands tightening on Vorel's mane, "Hurry, hurry Vorel!" She encouraged the already rapidly moving dragon who dove down, landed, and raced toward the doors. He ducked his head down so that he could push through the doors and when they got inside he looked around for a moment, looking thoughtful. Alright, they were inside... now what? The elevator? Yes!
He trotted along forward, down the hall with the blanket wrapped package in his mouth, Maria still clinging to his back. He was feeling... well... good! He felt heroic really getting to help Maria out like this, Ligeia would be so happy with him! He came to a sliding halt in front of the elevator doors, using his tail to push the button and they waited.
The inside of the building was rather warm inside which had Maria pleased, that was much better then being as cold inside as it was outside, "Hurry doors!" She ordered them and as luck would have it there was a ding and the pair went inside, "We need to go to the floor with all of the offices on it." Hopefully the Dragon Man would be there, he was the one that she just had to talk to! He was the one that Vorel suggested and surely he would know exactly to do to help the eggs out! The doors closed behind them and Maria crawled along Vorel's neck, tail wrapping around it as she reached out with a hand to press the button for the offices. She knew this floor well since her Daddy had an office there... so surely the Dragon Man would have one to?
They waited in an impatient manner again until there was a second ding and they were heading out of the office as a rather... strange sight. Vorel with a blanket wrapped bundle in his mouth and a Pangolin girl hanging off of his neck, "Peri! Dragon Man! Where are Dragon man!" She called out in a loud voice.

Maria's luck was strong, for the 'Dragon Man' (or should that be woman?) was indeed in her office. Unfortunately, her office wasn't exactly close to the elevators and therefore, the young pangolin girl's cries were unheard by Peri. However, a few techs running errands were more than happy to point the girl in the right direction, mainly in hopes of the rather large dragon not eating them in return.
Still unaware of her rather... unusual visitors, Peri continued working on some paperwork that the Boss had requested the teachers fill out. Ugh, paperwork... The woman found herself hoping for something to come up so she'd have an excuse to stop...

Maria gave a smile, waving at the Techs that had given her directions, "How nice." She chirped before pointing to the door with the right number on it, the one that had to contain the Dragon Man that she was looking for. When they got there she slid down off of Vorel completely, landing on her feet, and toddled over to the door. She knocked before peeking in, "Mister Perilas?" She called into the office before spotting... a woman?
The girl's lavender eyes blinked a couple times before she moved inside, Vorel following after her, "Umm... hello, Miss. Can... can you help me find the Dragon Man? Its a matter of life a death!" The little toddler said in a dramatic manner, her tail swishing behind her in a twitching manner. She looked at Vorel and the pack he carried then back again to give the woman her best puppy dog eyes in hopes that it would help her to aid their cause.
"Please?" She asked.
Vorel sat down behind her, giving him his best version of puppy eyes as well though it looked a little odd on a dragon the size of Vorel...

It seemed Peri's hopes were answered as a knock sounded at the door. She looked up to see one of the younger children enter. Before she could ask if the young girl was lost, Peri was bombarded with a dramatic plea for help and two sets of puppy eyes (one of those sets being rather large).
"Well, er, I'm Perilas, the dragon instructor." Perhaps she could play the confusion of being a woman and not the "Dragon Man" as Vorel's fault. "So, what is the matter?" She glanced beyond the girl to Vorel, worry crossing her face for a moment. "Is Ligeia okay?" She didn't see the owl boy and surely he'd be with his dragon.... right?
Then her eyes fell upon the bundle that Vorel had. Those eyes widened in fear. "That's not....?" They were on the wrong floor if the owl boy had been injured!!

Maria's head tilted to one side. Wait... he was... a she? Huh, she didn't know that. She had always thought that the Dragon Man was a Man... she shook her head. It was alright, she just wanted help so man or woman she was happy.
The little pangolin shook his head, "Li is alright, I just needed to borrow Vorel so that I could come here on an errand." She said, walking over to pat her hands against the bundle that Vorel was holding, "Down, Vorel."
The dragon nodded his head before stepping closer, setting the bundle on the ground in front of Perilas's desk. His tail swished in a slow manner as the pair of them were both waiting for Peri to come over and... well fix everything that was wrong at the moment. She stepped closer to set to untying the corners of the bag, "I found these and I wanted to bring them here! I know that your the only one who can help since your the Dragon Man... well no... Dragon Woman I mean." She told the older woman, tail lashing again.

The woman relaxed as the young girl said that Ligeia was fine. That was good. Though, why they would've come to her if that had been the problem... well, who knew. The girl was young, too young to have even been assigned an egg yet, it appeared. So... why was she here? And with one of the older assigned dragons?
And her curiousity just grew stronger as the bundle was set down and the girl said that she was the only one who could help. Confused, Peri made her way around the desk and to the bundle. She reached over to help the girl untie the corners of their makeshift bag.
As the blanket fell open and revealed the treasure within, Peri's eyes went wide. "W-where did you find these?"

Maria looked up at Perilas before giving a smile when she looked at them, "I found them a distance from our house." She said as she looked them over, reaching out to run a hand over them, "They are really, really cold... and all the others were broken... you can save them right?" She said, shaking her head, "These two are... weaker but this one..." She patted it, it was the strongest of them, "This one was in the middle of the group... the others were broken and half buried."
She looked... really sad about it, that she was far to slow, days to slow. She reached out to rest her hands on Perilas's arm, "You can do something, right? Your the Dragon Woman!"
Vorel plopped down on the ground, laying down so he could nuzzle against Maria's hair in a gentle, soothing manner, then looked over at Peri and spoke to him though didn't know if he could speak Draconic, "They smell of Baroness." He informed the teacher that... had been a woman last the Frost had known.

Peri quickly put a hand to the eggs, testing the temperatures. These didn't look like arctic dragon eggs and so the cold would not be good for them! "We'll do our best," she promised the child as she hurried back to her desk and grabbed the phone. Orders were quickly barked into it to have three incubators set up and ready as well as some techs from nearby to transport the eggs.
The woman frowned as she listened to what Vorel said. She'd been trying to learn some Draconic, but between teaching classes and getting them set up, she was still very very rusty. "Something about smell?" She finally asked, having figured out that much.... she thought.

Maria clapped her hands together in delight, "Really? Wonderful!" She squealed, lunging forward to cling to Peri, hugging her tightly then looked over at Vorel for a moment as he spoke, thinking about it for a moment then looked up at the instructor again, "He says they smell like Baroness, he said that earlier." She explained to the teacher before turning back to running her hands over the egg that seemed to give off the strongest signs of life within it, a sort 'glow' that only she seemed able to sense.
Her tail swished for a moment before she gave it a hug, "Its going to be alright now, Peri the Dragon Woman is gonna make it all better I promise!" She told the egg she was hugging then reached out to pet the other two, uncertain if they would make it... time was of the essence but since the one of the three felt strong she hugged it close to try to keep it warm until the techs could arrive.

"Baroness?" Well... crap. Peri sighed. At least they knew what type of dragon was in these... On the other hand, she was almost hoping none of the hatchlings would survive. A mixed breed of a wyvern and a black? D-corp did NOT need one of those!!!
Luckily, her phone call had techs everywhere scrambling. In fact, a quick knock at the door announced the arrival of several techs to help transport the eggs.
Peri nodded to the techs briefly. "Get these down to the incubation facility and quick. We don't have much time if they're to survive. Tell the techs to have the incubators set very warm for now. Need to get these warmed."
Now came the part she wasn't too fond of... telling the Boss. Sighing as the techs got the eggs and were carefully taking them off towards the incubators, Peri picked up the phone again. "Boss? Yes, this is Perilas... I received a very interesting delivery just moments ago. It seems two of the bonded dragons have... reproduced." There was a slight pause. "Baroness, a wyvern bonded to Ter and Keir, a black bonded to Chath." Another pause. "Yes, sir. Three eggs, though they have not been tended and the survivability is uncertain as of now."

Maria watched as the Techs arrived to fetch the eggs before she hugged the one she was holding tighter before rising to her feet, "Can you call my Daddy too? He was sleeping when Vorel and I left!" She said to Peri as he seemed to be making a lot of phone calls to random people.
She stepped in closer, reaching up to tug on her sleeve, "Can I go with the eggs? Can I watch when they go in the incubators?" She asked, worried for them and wanted to make sure that everything went well. Peri said their chances they would make it was uncertain and that was a bit scary in her mind. If they didn't make it she would be quite sad... the poor babies... she had no idea what Peri was thinking, that they were something she didn't want to see survive to hatching age... she was oblivious and off in her own world or worry instead.

Peri looked relieved to be off the phone with Alan and nodded to the girl. "Mr. Solon, right?" After all, she'd arrived with Vorel and seemed to know him well enough to understand the Draconic he spoke. It made sense.
Motioning to one of the techs who hadn't left yet, Peri nodded. "Take her down to the incubation facility." It wouldn't hurt to let her go and would probably keep her happy until her father arrived to pick her up. As the tech started to lead the girl away, Peri added, "No touching, just watching."

"Yes! Orpheus Solon is my Daddy!" She said then looked over at Vorel, "Wait for Daddy, okay Vorel? I will go and watch!"
She turned to look up at Peri, holding up her hands for the woman to see, "No touching, just watching! Promise!" She chirped, turning around on her heel and hurried after the technician that would show her where it was that she was supposed to go to watch the eggs until her Daddy showed up to get her.
"Thank you Dragon Woman!" She called before she was out of sight of Peri.
Vorel rose to his feet, giving a nod of his head to Peri before he headed toward the elevator. He would wait at the front door for Orpheus to show up to pick the girl up he thought to himself, tail swishing behind him.

Peri nodded. "Very good." She allowed herself a smile as the little girl cheerfully went on her way to watch the eggs be put in their places. She waved as the dragon left as well and picked up the phone once more. Paperwork was starting to look real nice now....
