A chill wind rattled the remaining leaves still clinging to their branches, Autumn had dropped upon this land faster than Silvra had expected. But as she came from a land of cold winters and warm hearths, it did not bug her as much. She was a dark giant in these woods, silent and strangely ominous, despite her pure lineage she was still regarded with skepticism. Her cloven hooves picked delicately through the carpet of fallen leaves, looking for the choicest items, rare mushrooms, newly fallen nuts, bushes of ripe berries. She preferred quality in life, over quantity as most in her land would have. She was too sharp, too strange for them.

Patches of moonlight guided her along the path, Silvra lived only in the night, under the stars she was far more comfortable than hiding from the glaring rays of the sun. Her scales made a small clinking noise as she slid like a phantom through the area, looking for anything that would perhaps pique her interest. This land was still new to her and it had plenty to offer, in flora AND fauna, though much of the latter fled before her, she hoped to find others, ones that would stay...interesting ones.

She continued on.

Deep within the forest, a tall stallion lurked in silence. The densest part of the forest allowed now moonlight through its thick branches, making the area pitch black. All that could be seen in the darkness were bright red eyes piercing through the shadows of the forest. Kerberos trudged in the direction of the outer portion of the forest, hoping to find any source of a meal. His body longed for the taste of meat.

The dark stallion folded his wings to his sides to protect them from the harsh wind that rushed between the trees. Kerberos quickly looked around as the thick trees began to thin out. Moonlight fled through the branches of the trees and lit up the forest as much as it could. He frowned as his eyes adjusted to the little bit of light. Each step he took was heavy and made a loud crunching sound as he stepped on the leaves. The large stallion looked around, hoping to be lucky enough to spot a meal on the chilling night.

Silvra heard him before she spotted him among the silent monoliths of the forest. How could one not hear him really? The stallion was bulky and even from a distance she could tell there was something...interesting about him. Even better. She slipped through the inky night, and though she was very large, she made barely any sound at all as she slunk in for a closer look.

"Och...what big teeth you have" she murmured softly, amusing herself as she was able to make out details now, and what detail indeed! The stallion was as difficult to spot as she, and oddly enough, she felt she could have been staring at a twisted bloodbrother. He had similar coloring, though he was quite obviously different. She did not have wings, nor such wicked teeth, not even the curiously curved horns he seemed to be sporting.

" How strange" she narrowed her silver eyes and wondered how to best approach the male, he seemed vicious, but she knew how to hold her own against the dangers such things could offer. Her mind worked around several different scenarios and finally she decided it would be best to take a high ground, the top of a slope, a rocky outcropping...Once she had found such a thing, she overlooked the questing stranger and in a silky voice, called down to him " Vat ees it...that you are looking for night valker?"

The heavy stallion lifted his muzzle slightly, taking in the scent of another creature around. He listened closely for any potential signs, but surprisingly heard nothing. This was no deer. The creature was too smart to be a deer. Another soquili, perhaps? A wicked smirk appeared on the stallion's maw as he let his glowing red eyes search the surrounding area. Where was this soquili?

A disgusted look took over Kerberos' features as the mare's voice filled the air. He turned abruptly to look up at the mare as a low growl rumbled deep in his chest. Slowly, he looked over the kirin mare. A potential meal? He highly doubted it. She was obviously smart and would be too much of a hassle to try and make a meal out of. She was not worth his time and effort.

Without answering, the bulky stallion turned back in the direction he was headed and continued on his way. As he walked off, he flicked a wing slightly in the mare's direction as if to shoo her away. She would only get in his way. Mares... worthless beings that were only placed on the earth to wreak havoc and annoy stallions like himself.

Silvra watched him turn to leave back the way he had been heading, she chuckled softly, she had seen such males in her homeland and knew how to deal with them. " So iee see zee males of thiees land are either not smart enough for conversation..." she spoke loud enough for him to hear, her deep voice carrying over the night wind.

Annoying was not her cup of tea, she was curious about this stallion who was so strangely alike, but at the same time she was cautious, she knew what dangers lurked within that fanged maw and the curving horns he so delicately sported. She fairly glided over the ground as she picked down the path, a darker shadow in the shadows, keeping her eyes locked on the occasional flash of silver that was the stallions hair.

Kerberos sent a disgusted look in the mares direction as he continued making his way towards where he was previously headed. At the insult, he let his glowing red eyes suddenly lock on the kirin mare. "That, or the stallions of these lands prefer not to be annoyed by worthless mares." His words were sharp and were meant to hurt the mare, though he doubted it would work.

Annoyed simply by the presence of the mare, Kerberos let a low growl rumble deep in his chest as a warning to the mare. If she had any brains, he assumed she would run in fear. Something told him that this mare was more stubborn than he would like. For the time being, he was stuck with her and being stuck with her meant no food.
