Remembering the disaster that was this very idea in years past, I'm putting this up to you guys and leaving it open for feedback, before I pump hours into trying to make this work.
First of all, I do want to observe the passage of another anniversary of the guild's foundation. December 5th is the date, so it would be best to get things set-up now.
What kind of contest would you like to see? What kind of contest would you participate in? If no contest at all, then what is it that you do want?

EDIT: Point of reference: This is the sort of contest that I would run, again, except for how poor the turn out was, so... Feedback.

EDIT: Not a lot of people have done this, I see, so allow me to restate.
Tell me whether or not you'd be willing to enter a contest like this and if not what would have to be different.

I would be interested in a similar contest though it would not be much fun if other people dont join in the contest. Though I am interested in what ideas other people have about it.

The same as in the same terms (any type of art) or the same as in the subject (anything guild-related)? Everyone please make sure to answer both of these points.

Well I think it should be definatly guild related. Since the whole idea of the contest is related to the foundation of the guild.

As far as art goes well its hard to say without knowing the types of skills people have in the guild.

I would suggest art.. since that's probably the only thing I can do very well.
Only problem is.. I still don't have art supplies T__T;

I guess I would be willing to participate in an art contest. I must warn that I get distracted easily and sometimes procrastinate so I'd have to put will into it. I'll be willing to help best I can if any.

How much is the minimum amount of people?

I don't know, really. I guess I would want to have a bare minimum of five people give me definite "yes" answers, because anything less would give me zero hope of even winding up with a first, second, and third. I can't tel you how many positive people were "pretty certain" that they meant to enter last time. "Maybe's" are worthless, and it would take no less than ten "probably"s for me to really want to invest my time collecting prize money and offering up my own.
So far, I have no definite answers (positive or negative), so if I was basing whether or not I was having the contest on what I've gotten since I put this up, it would be a definite no, but I won't give up just yet.
I hope not to waste too much time in this phase, since collecting and leaving time for people to work on their entries is very important, too.

Looks like I have my answer. I will be accepting any guild-related artwork and will likely give a guild bonus to those who submit, but there doesn't appear to be enough interest for an actual contest.
