Quote:
lysia_nyteblade: Mera Gallops through the plains feeling the wind in her mane and laughing as she follows a small group of birds who're flying south for warmer climates.

Veneficus: Sena walks along the plain slowly, watching the clouds a bit and not very aware of his surroundings.

Lysia: Her hooves kicks up grass and soft damp soil as she gallops, slowing to a trot as the birds fly over the trees. She wondered just how far they traveled on a normal day and what things must look like from that height.

Veneficus: Sena's ears twitch a bit as he hears hooves and looks around, wondering what made the noise. A moment later he sees a pretty mare and blushes just a bit. He's never really been around females before.

lysia: Dry mud caked her belly and looked like it was starting to fall of her leg guards as the slowed down even more till she was walking. Taking her eyes from the sky, she looked around, spotting the spotty stallion , she smiled and made her way towards him. "Hey there! What brings you this way?"

Veneficus: He blinked a bit, having never seen a female so...muddy, before. "Uh...h-hello, I was just..wandering I suppose, what about you?"

lysia: Shrugs a bit. "I've just be wandering myself.. playing a bit here and there.. I found a most Wonderful mud puddle." Grins wide.

Veneficus: He laughed lightly. "I can see that~ Isn't it getting a bit cold to play in mud puddles?"

lysia: Thinks some. "I guess so.. but they're so much fun! No rocks to slip and skin your knees up on." Giggling she stamped looked the last of the mud from her leg guards.

Veneficus: Sena smiles a bit. "I guess I can see why you would like it, heh." He blinks a bit and looks at her leg guards. "Those are pretty!"

lysia: Mera grins some her leg guards were one of the favorite things she had. "Thanks.. My daddy has leg guards too..." She looked at his spots and smiled. "I like you're coat pattern.. it's like an ocelot's fur only it's more colorful."

Sola:
Sena giggled a bit. "Neat~ I bet your dad's pretty neat too," he said and smiled. "Ha! Thanks~ I'm not quite sure where it came from, my parents are striped, hehe!"

Lysia:
"Yeah, my dad's a really great guy." She beamed she loved her family really. "Really? Wow! That's got to be interesting wonder where you got the spots..."

Sola:
"Hehe, me too sometimes." He smiled, enjoying that she was happy. "So what brings you out to the plains today?"

Lysia:
"Nothing really special more like stretching my legs you could say. I like to get out and see what I can see." She smiled. "Then I saw some birds and they looked like they were having so much fun flying that.. I just had to run with them." She grinned wide.

Sola:
He laughed lightly. "Sounds like fun! I came to watch the clouds, hehe," he said and smiled, looking up a bit. "They make pretty shapes sometimes, it's relaxing to watch them."

Lysia:
"Really?" She tilted her head off to the side some. "Huh... I never just stopped to look at the clouds..." She looked up thinking trying to make out any familiar shapes in the clouds. "OOooooo! That one looks like a big spear!" She smiled and hopped about. this was kinda fun.

Sola:
Sena squeaked a bit. "A spear!? That's scary!" he said, though he smiled a bit. "What about that one? Kinda looks like a mouse!" he giggled as he watched her hop around.

Lysia:
She blinked. She hadn't thought spears were very scary. Then again her father packed one around almost regularly. "Scary? How come?" She looked at the mouse shaped cloud and giggled. "It does.. It looks like a mouse!.. And that one looks like a knight rushing to battle!"

Sola:
"Well, they're pointy...and sharp...and they could hurt someone!" he reasoned, nodding. He'd never been in contact with a spear other than seeing one on other Soquili, and then staying away from said Soquili. "Hehe, I see it! Look at that one! It's a tower!"

Lysia:
"Oh.. I see" She still didn't get his point about spears being scary but she let it pass as she looked at the tower. "Maybe the knight's storming the tower?" Laughing she searched the sky some more. "Hmm... That one's odd... it almost looks like a soquili.. but it also looks like it has the upper half of a two-legger." She'd seen two-leggers from a distance but hadn't been willing to tempt fait by getting close to it.

Sola:
He laughed again, "Hehe, maybe he is!" he said. "Huh? A soquili...but a two-legger? That's weird..." he said and blinked, looking up at it. He'd never seen or heard something like that before.

Lysia:
She shook her head and laughed. "Clouds certainly make funny things." She shook the odd sight aside as the cloud slowly parted leaving just the horse body so that it looked like a headless horse. " Now that's just demented.... It went from odd concoction to a headless soquili..."

Sola:
He nodded in agreement, and squeaked a bit as the cloud changed. "I've never seen the clouds do something like that before," he said and shuddered a bit, the cloud having slightly frightened him. He looked around for a nicer cloud and spotted one, pointing to it with his snout. "Look! That one looks like a rose," he said.

Lysia:
She shook her head some and looked at the one that he had pointed out. "It really does! Right down to the little petals." She looked around some more. " That cloud's so fluffy looking I'd bet it'd make a nice pillow." She giggled some. She'd have to play this game with her family some time.

Sola:
"Haha! I bet it would, too," he said and laughed lightly. "What about that one? It kinda looks like the sashes on your tail, hehe!"

Lysia:
She couldn't help but to laugh. "It kind of does..." She searched the sky some more. "Oh look a bunny!" She pointed with her nose at a cloud that looked like a bunny by a fallen tree. "It even has it's own little tree." She giggled and decided to lay on the ground and look up at the sky.

Sola:
Sena laughed. "I love bunnies! They're so cute," he said. "What about you? What kinda little critters do you like?"

Lysia:
She thought about this some. "Hmmm... I guess All little critters. That would be unless they're trying to put me on the menu." She frowned some. She remembered the first lesson she ever had about cougars. That had been a day to remember. She'd been a foal when her father had smelled the cougar stalking her during their play time in the meadow.

Sola:
He smiled. "That's a good answer," he said and giggled a bit until he caught her frown. "What's wrong?" he asked, a frown on his own muzzle.

Lys:
"Hmm? oh nothing really just revisited something." She smiled once more. "Do you know how to tell if a cougar's near by?" She blinked looking at him closely. "My father taught me once when I was a foal."

Sola:
He nodded, smiling again as she does. "No, I don't...I don't think I've even come across a cougar before. How do you tell?"

lys:
"They have a rather specific scent to them... earthy like dirt.. but also tinged with fur and blood.. they smell of death." She looked pleased with herself. she wasn't trying o scare him just teach him what her father had taught her about the cats. "I wonder what they look like though..." She spoke more to herself than to him before shaking her head and grinning. "I guess I'm just curious since I've never seen them.. just smelled them."

Sola:
"Eeek...I hope I don't ever come across one of those! They don't sound like nice creatures..." He shook his head and stamped his hooves a bit. "I want to know what they look like...but just so I know what to stay away from."

Lys:
Mera chuckled some. "I once said the same thing.. My father warned me to never go seeking trouble or surely I'd bite off more than I could chew." Shaking her head some, she stood up. "Wanna do something a little different from this?"

Sola:
"Heh, I can understand that...I think he's definitely right on that," he said and smiled, nodding and sending his curls shaking over his neck. "Sure! What would you like to do?

Lys:
"Hmmm...." She thought for a moment. "How about........ I spy!" She chuckled and looked around for something to spy. "I spy with my little eye.... something.... gray!" She had seen a gray pebble as her item.

Sola:
"Ooh! I like that game!" he giggled. "Hmm...gray..." he murmured and looked around. A moment later, he spotted a gray dove. "Is it a bird?"

Lys:
Mera shook her ear causing her scarves to flap about. "Nope guess again!" she laughed and pranced around a bit. " I bet you'll never get it!" She grinned wide as she joked. She loved games even as an adult. One could never be too old for games she thought. After all.. Her father was always full of games to play.

Solanum:
Sena giggled. "Aww! Okay, it's not a bird..." he murmured and looked around again. He narrowed his eyes and searched harder. "Oh! A squirrel?" he asked

Lysia:
She shook her head once again. "Nope not a squirrel! Do ya give up?" She giggled and grinned wide from ear to ear. She really didn't think he'd get it.

Sola:
Sena gaped a little. It wasn't a bird, it wasn't a squirrel. She giggled and grinned at him, and he knew then she thought he'd never get it. He giggled as well. "Alright, what is it?"

Lys:
Grinning even wider she pointed to the rock. "That rock! see.. it's grey!" She chuckled and danced around some. "Maybe this wasn't the best game to play..." She blinked a few times. "We'd have better games if my dad was here... I think you two would get along nicely, though he's a bit... protective.."

Sola:
"Haha!" he laughed, and nickered lightly. "That was hard!" He pranced a bit and laughed still, cocking his head to the side a bit. "You think so? Heh...he sounds like fun, though~"

Lys:
She nodded. "Yeah, though he may come off as a bit of a stiff pole he's pretty fun just the same. hmmm.. maybe I should introduce you some time.." Her ears flicked here and there before her stomach rumbled . "Eh.. looks like I should find something to eat." She chuckled some. "Though... maybe we shouldn't bother daddy today... how about I meet you here tomorrow and we can go meet him from here?"

Solanum:
Sena blinked. "R-really? You'd want me to meet your dad?" His heart fluttered a bit in his chest, this would be the first time he'd met someone's parents...and a mare's at that! "W-well...if you're sure...I can meet you here tomorrow, no problem," he said with a smile.

Lysia:
"Sure? Why not? I like my family to know anyone I do." She giggled. it was plane to see that she was a mare who put family above most anything else. She'd decided long ago that anyone she met, friend or anything more than friends, she'd introduce to her father at least. She valued his judgment on things including what he thought of her friends.

Solanum:
"Hehe! Okay, sounds like a plan to me then," he said and smiled at her. "When should I be here tomorrow?"

Lysia:
She blinked for a moment. "hmmm... How about in the morning when the sun starts to hit the top of the trees?" She hoped it wouldn't bee considered too early a time for him to meet with her.

Solanum:
He blinked and thought for a moment, the poor stallion did like to sleep late...but he could manage waking up early this time. "Okay! I'll see you in the morning then?"

Lysia:
She nodded vigorously. "Sounds good to me!" She nearly squeaked her excitement. He was her first friend ever to meet her family. she hoped now that her father wouldn't be too hard on Sena. She knew how protective Albert could be and hoped he's opt to leave the spear with her mother when they came to visit. "That reminds me.. Since we're going to meet daddy tomorrow, I should go home and prepare him, let him know we're coming so he'll be there."

Solanum:
Sena smiled, glad she was happy, and he was as well. "Hah...okay. I should probably go to sleep early tonight, hehe!"

Lysia:
She giggled once more. "Alrighty then. Tomorrow then.. here. I'll be seeing you later then!" She didn't offer much time for him to say good bye as she turned on her hind end and bolted, scarves flapping in the wind behind her as she ran and laughed.
