She was here again.
He could tell. He'd been looking at his phone, in the lack of other things to do. He had noticed that Bellatrix was often right there, running laps around his apartment block. It made him smile, in a way, but it made him worry in others.
There was still so much on his mind, and it was like, the more he tried to make sense of it, the least sense it all started to make. His most recent discovery didn't help - that picture of his mother in Lily's house... and the fact that they were cousins. Well, second cousins, but cousins were simpler. He'd never been aware of it. And neither had she.
Thanks to his mother being a god damn ******** someone looked up the definition of ******** in the dictionary, senshidom would be a synonym. He was certain of it.
In all that sea of questions, though, there was one thing that he had decided. One thing he had finally settled on.
And damnit, he was making it happen. He didn't care if he was going to get shot down in the most pathetic way known to man. He had to let it out, before it drove him crazy.
He sneaked out on the back stairs of his apartment building, and made his way to the roof. Thankfully, the stairs went that high, or he would never have managed it. He stood in the middle of the roof, alone, open phone in his left palm. Bellatrix would make another lap nearby soon, if she kept to the pattern he'd observed. He kept his phone open, the light standing out in the pitch darkness. She would see him.
After all, he was the only person crazy enough to stand in the middle of a roof at midnight.

In the next few minutes, a final jump and a clink of heels against the roof top foretold her arrival. Bellatrix, spear and all. After all, there wasn't always going to be a knife or something else pointy handy, and Bellatrix didn't exactly have the most offensive attack. She had sighted him before she even touched down. Although it was dark, and the light of the Phone didn't exactly give the best light, she knew.
"Xavier," Bellatrix said with a smile.
She had been leaving him to his own devices since the last Basterd meeting. It was hard, but she managed. The last thing she wanted to do was have her presence become smothering and bothersome. However, this chance rooftop meeting made her realize exactly how hard it had been - how much she'd missed being with him. A peaceful, contented expression painted the Amazon's face. It wasn't anything too foreign for Bell, but Bellatrix was another matter.

The lady did not dissapoint. Not that he expected her to.
With that, the senshi phone flipped closed. No need for anything else to find them, after all. If a youma dared to crash this, something was going to die. Henshin-pen less or not.
"Hey." He said, and cursed mentally. He'd spend a good hour repeating what he wished to say in his head. He had it down. Or, well, he thought he had it down. But now, all those carefully chosen words were gone, mixed up inside his mind. Damn, Damn. DAMN !
He was doing this, or else he had no damn right to call himself a man anymore.
"How it's going ?" He asked her. The last time they'd seen each other was at the meeting, and that seemed eons away.

"It's a quiet night," Bellatrix said, walking over to him. She leaned her spear against what was presumable a rooftop air unit.
In the past few nights it hadn't been though. If she were a Pokemon she'd have probably gained a few levels. But alas, she was not, and her fuku did little to hide the evidence - elbows, knees, and the like took quite a beating in the concrete jungle. It was nothing she wouldn't do again, voluntarily.
"How've you been?"
He seemed, well, maybe anxious wasn't the right word, but certainly not relaxed. She hoped he wasn't too troubled. She could fight the physical monsters, but the mental ones were a whole 'nother can of worms.

The darkness didn't hide her as well as she could have wished, and Xavier frowned. He didn't like seeing her like this. If he'd been there... If he wasn't like this...
Well, that was another can of worms. He shoved those thoughts away. Not here. Not now.
"It doesn't really hurt anymore." his left hand pointed at his cast for emphasis. "...So it's just the waiting game, as this point." Mentally... well, again, this was another can of worms.
"...Im feeling a little better, too." He admitted, shaking his head. "Though I wish life would stop chucking things at me for a moment."

Bellatrix was glad to hear that he was recovering. Maybe the doctors would okay him before the siz weeks was even up! Who knew?
Bellatrix tilted her head to the side at the mention of life and its little throwing habit. Really. Life was like a monkey - If you have any poo, fling it now. "Oh?" Bellatrix inquired, while motioning for him to turn around for a moment. The emotional stunted-ness of Bellatrix did not fit this situation.
Nope, Bell was ready to be Bell again, at least for this little while. When he'd turn back around he'd find Bell.

"Yeah." He turned around, as instructed to do. He had a good idea what she would do, and he had to bite back his chuckle. It was kind of cute, if she was shy of powering down in front of him.
It was the powering -up- that had all the weird a** bits, after all. At least, in his case. He'd never seen another senshi power up.
"I have a cousin." He started, turning back when it seemed like he could do so. "I never knew about it, because it's on my mother's side." Had he ranted about his mother yet to Bell ? Probably not. He didn't like to sour his mood in her presence. "And she never knew, either, because her family is equally aware of my mother being a complete ******** up. You get three guesses." He said. "The first two don't count."
Given that he'd stayed at Lily's house after the meeting, it wasn't a hard guess at all.

Nope - henshin-ing down was probably a little more exposive, if possible. At least in her case. She wasn't sure about others. She'd have few qualms about henshining, but as far as the reversal went? Nope, gotta have that little bit of privacy, k?
Bell only needed one guess. Bell remembered begrudgingly trusting his safety to Lilly after the meeting. "Ah, I see~" Bell would be absolutely thrilled if something like that happened to her. Surely her father was bound to have some illegitimate spawn that could inherit the business instead of her, right? i mean, he only got married once or twice a ******** up parent? Oh yes, she knew them well.
"It would seem that isn't all that's bothering you," Bell gave a soft smile, crossing her arms behind her back, "Unless my sixth or seventh sense is messing up. You're not still mentally berating yourself, are you?" Bell gave her best 'ha, caught you, didn't I?' look, which really kinda failed with that smile in place.

"It was really... really weird." He shook his head. "Seriously." And the more he thought about it, the more weird it was.
He made a bit of a sheepish smile at that last comment. "Is the sky blue ? Im doing better. I never said I was going good." It was a slow process. It always was a slow process. "I'm starting to realize that i'm not an idiot, though."
That could really be taken a few ways. Sigh.
This wasn't why he was here, though, but again, his own resolve faltered. Damnit... Damnit !!!

"I'm glad you're finally realizing that," Bell said with a bit of a laugh and she hopped up to sit on the air unit, swinging her feet a bit as she did so, somewhat like a child.
Bell wished he was feeling more than just better. A part of her wanted to go over there and give him a hug, as if that was some sort of 'auto-cheer-up' magic, but she didn't. Just like she resisted the urge to play with his hair on a few occasions. Just like how she wanted to let him know that no matter how dark his thoughts, she wanted to be the starlight to guide him out of that internal hell, but kept silent. The thought of actually saying that made her feel somewhat sheepish - and there was the shy, subtle smile, and slight blush to her cheeks, though whether that be from cold or embarrassment, one couldn't tell.

He still didn't move from where he was standing, as if his legs refused to obey him. He wanted to, but it just... wasn't working. It was a good thing it was too dark for her to notice the death grip he had on his senshi phone, that only betrayed more of his nervousness.
Finally, he took one step. Then another. And another. "I wanted to see you." He said, finally. "Because... I needed to talk to you."
Somehow, he managed to look straight at her. "I know that... it hasn't even been this long since I met you." But everything had happened so fast. Like a tornado. Like a wild storm. "I told you that I need you, but..."
"I didn't tell you how much."
And his resolve threatened to leave him again, the words once again lost in between his mind and his throat - but it was too late. He leaned forward, cupped her chin inside his hand, and tiled her head up... to kiss her.
There was two outcomes. Either she was going to take it semi-nicely and he'll be told how much of an idiot he was, or he was gonna get punted off the building by Bellatrix.
He really hoped she wouldn't put him off the building.

Oh, God...
The words, 'I needed to talk to you' sent a cold chill down he spine, and her eyes widened as she sat up a bit straighter. Her breathing was steady but her heart pounded. Fear pulsed cold through her veins. She had to hold tight to some of her composure though, as she prepared for the worst. Prepared to be told that he didn't need an over-protective guard dog like her around, that he just wasn't that in to her, or any number of things that one could think of. And that was all before the dreaded 'but.'
Bell closed her eyes and waited for it...
'I didn't tell you how much.'
Bell opened her eyes and just felt everything drain from her, but not in the bad way that she expected. She hadn't dared to get her hopes up. Don't wish. Don't start. Wishing only wounds the heart. Right? But next thing she knew her chin was cupped in his hand, and his lips were on hers, and she just all but melted right there.
She'd experienced kissed before. Fake, simply for show, on stage, nothing behind them but someone who knew not how to act and make it look real. This wasn't like this. This took everything from her and replaced it with warmth, happiness, and butterflies. And, damnit, she played with his hair.
Nope. No pushing off of buildings, just fingers raking through hair.

He still had his two feet squarely on the rooftop. This was already going better than he'd expected it to go.
She showed no sign of letting go, and so he didn't. Good thing Bell didn't know just how much of an inexperienced kisser that he was, or else he might just have died on the spot.
Finally, he had to let go, and noticed where her hand went, and laughed, washing what was left of his nervousness away.
If anyone could have seen them there, they were likely two teenagers with some sort of death wish, hanging out of the rooftops like that. Truth was, the was the least danger the pair had been in awhile.

Bell blushed, and couldn't help but accompany his laugh with a small giggle of her own, "You had me scared there for a moment," she admitted, although he probably had been able to tell. Bell wasn't as good at suppressing things as Bellatrix. But then again, Bellatrix prescribed the Vegeta's method of suppressing things. (yay DBZ A references that she wouldn't even know about.)
If anyone could have seen them there, Bellatrix probably would have thrown that spear at them, Youma or not. Aaaand suppressed!

"Sorry." He was still feeling like a dork. For all he knew, he was a dork. "I didn't mean to. I just thought there was a chance I was gonna get punted off the building. This would have been a little counter-productive to my healing."
He didn't move - she was too busy playing with his hair for him to move, and he had no intention to ask her to stop.
