i really dont get how to enter a roleplay or how to keep the battle going... for example:
kakioshi looks around, searching for a fight.
A masked man walks up "ill fight you!'
kakioshi draws her sword and slashes at the man.
he jumps aside, and comes in fast.
kakioshi has just miliseconds to evade, but manages to get away without a scratch.

how would you win this battle? how can you say it ends without godmodding or the opponent giving up?

Add more detail, and not everyone gets away without a scratch. That would be godmodding. It is relatively good for a beginner, but I would have her get her arm cut or maybe her leg and then continue until one of the characters gives up.

there are actually different ways to form the rps as well. like story wise as a first or third person point of view and scripts. most of the people I rp goes by scripts because it's easy and fast to reply on. doing story wise, takes a lot of time to describe every detail about the location, weather, what your OC is doing all of that. for scripts, people uses symbols to indicate what the character is doing. like for example:

sen: -walking about minding her business as she looked up at the clouds dazing a bit and bangs into someone- oh, i'm so sorry, sir -bows apologetically-
gin: no, it's ok young miss i'll be ok -smiles at her assuring he is-

that's what the script is. very simple :3

for story wise, it's time consuming. sadly, i don't know much of doing rps in story way, but i'll think of something another time, unless someone knows what i'm talking about sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop sweatdrop

Script rping is simple, but it leaves very little room for improvement.
Story wise is a bit harder, but it also allows for more information and is easier to picture something.

Example (expanding the one above):
The market place was strangely empty for the time of day. True there were still people milling about, but most where holed up in their homes due to the heat. Through these lightly populated streets Sen walked. Her mind wandering far past the walls of the town. Suddenly she bumped into another person, snapping her out of her daydreams. "O! I'm sorry, Sir," she said as she bowed apologetically to her.

The man blinked down at the young woman who had bumped into him. He smiled gently and shook his head. "No need to apologize, young Miss. You've done no damage, I'll be fine."

Sen, relieved that the man was not upset at her, bowed again and continued off down the street. This time she kept her head firmly planted on her shoulders.
