Faction/Race: Monster/Tatzelwurm
Personality: Down to earth and sporting a small-town mentality, she can be viewed as naive at times. Levis was raised in a two-bit hillside Tatzel-filled town where everybody knew everybody. This accounts for an open-book feel to Levi that never seems to fade; that's just how she is.
Being discredited as uneducated (i.e hey maw! git of de dang rouf!) is probably Levis' only real issue. Believing that she isn't "big-city"-smart, Levi tries making up for her shortcomings by studying very hard...often to no avail. She'll want to amaze others with her slick intellect but this can really be translated to: she blurts out incorrect factoids. Nonetheless, Levi is comforted by her knowledge base and perks when people don't seem to know what she is talking about (i.e. if you didn't understand it, she has succeeded at out-smarting you).
Her instincts in a social setting may include friendly touching (git yur mind outta the gutter! >:E) or a bit of rough play. If she really likes you, don't be too surprised if you find yourself on the floor with legs and arms wrapped around you... it's a constricting thing that's rather homely to her <3Let's wrestle! >w< This being said, her reaction to sexual advances while she's grappling may be followed by confusion. Wrestling is wrestling...?
When Levi isn't attempting to hit the books, her hobbies include hiking (more like rock-jumping/grappling), swimming and folk dancing (or what would be comparable to belly dancing in true form? xD ). Her taste in music is certainly outdated and she probably has little to no knowledge of what the "in" trends are...but she is thrilled by the simplest technology (what would she do with a doombox? XD or Scarestation?).
Dislikes or peeves include creatures who insist on absolute elitism or
nonrecognition of equal rights between the factions. C'mon ya'll now
grin on yur boilers- come to love one another right now-
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? First to head to a major school (rather than a shed behind some relative's home with a handful of students...), Levi is making her friends and family back home proud for opening her horizons. She's an adventurer! An entrepreneur! She'll be the next Skellington!
... extremely high hopes are involved. If you're going to leave home and everything you know,
might as well be for the biggest of the best, right?
As far as the classes go, Levi couldn't tell you why she doesn't seem to get good grades academically... but, when in doubt, she hopes her physical traits will lend themselves out in the more labor-esque assignments. Potential classes include gym, minitraining/botany and/or lit.
FEAR: Tatzelwurms have a poisonous breath which is controlled much like that of a snake. Glands specifically housing her venom are activated when there is a need for offense and the venom is released.
Symptoms may include abdominal pains, a shortness of breath, temporary paralysis, blindness (seconds to hours) or the melting of flesh. If this is mastered, the breath can reach far ranges and prove quite fatal (effects can prolong up to years and have been a reason for certain "disappearances" before), but this takes a full grown and highly practiced Tatzel to perform.
Still somewhat unpredictable, the possibilities and range of these effects are calculated on a time-to-time, creature-to-creature basis.There is no way to force symptoms to specifically occur on demand and there is a limit of venom stored at one time so, once the venom runs out, much time is needed in order to recoup. Also, Levis' throat gets kinda dry when her venom comes out...and has yet to successfully paralyze/blind anyone (she did make a boil sick to his stomach though once... :< )
... gotta build that tolerance... practice practice practice!
Natural Ability: Her tail acts as an extra limb (like that of a kangaroo) which aids in her impressive jumping abilities. So she's quite agile. Tatzelwurms have been credited to fly in some accounts but, truly, this is just their innate leaping ability at work.
Physical Description: Humanoid - Lengthy slender body complete with hard smooth skin, cat-like ears, and a thick tapering tripod tail of a white leathery skin consistency. Pretty tall by human girl standards at approx. 5'9"
Native Form - Levi in her native form lacks legs, but gains overall length in a serpentine-like body. With this body, Tatzelwurms can truly take full advantage of their jumping abilities since it is their primary mode of travel. In this form, she has claws and sharp teeth which would be comparable to a large feline. Her eyes are wide and her skin texture is that of hard little scales and random fur.
Eye Colour: Orange/Goldie
Hair Colour/Style: (concept 1)Just long enough to cover her shoulders with loops by each ear. (concept 2) Long pigtails with a pin holding her bangs upfront. Color could be orange, white...we'll see.
Skin Colour: Pale. Considering her natural skin is white.Ty inbreeding!
Clothing Style/Colours: Carries a canvas shoulder bag with a candy corn applique on the front. She likes candy corn as it is a common item produced in her town.
Extra: The Tatzel cat-like ears & thick tail

She's cute! And I like her backwoods personality. I'm wondering how she reacts if she's teased? Is she the kind to be intimidated, or does she fight back (with words or fists)? Will she try to make friends, and what would she look for in a friend in the fancy city-folk?

Teasing would be a case of "they just don't know none" and she'll shrug it off. If it's tense enough, she may try a factoid to ensure she is intellectually sound by her own standards (teenage creature- she's bound to have some self-doubt) and recoup her confidence. If the teasing progresses from that.... well, that just leads right back into the opposite party just not being as wise as her xD So "why bother tryin' to educate someone who ain't willin' to learn nothin' "?
She wouldn't want to yell forcefully for long as she worries that might pressure her venom glands (like a singer worries about her vocal chords) but pouncing and general wrestling around wouldn't be unheard of. After all, it's natural for her to want to constrict around something.
If they are genuinely intrigued by her "intellect," however, they'll have won her over for sure. Happy pouncing/squeezing may follow.
Her lack of social stature puts her in a place where she is willing to befriend but not willing to submit to cliquey scenarios. She'll give the underdog or the most popular ghoul in school the benefit of the doubt and talk to them in the same space as though she were back on the hills.
As for fancy city-folk, about anything would impress her. She's a clean slate to that kind of busy lifestyle and therefore has alot to look forward to (or dread after being experienced). Learning about different creatures just means she'll be learning something new! One more fact for her to add to the list!...erm.... whether or not she remembers what she just learned correctly- well~

exclaim I'll be questing for a Lepus Guide as well DD: perfect pet for Levi! When I mention her factoids, THAT is what I mean. She is like... one big Lepus Guide herself xD
There would be interesting non-studying sessions of random trivia in her journal! homg~

She sounds kinda fun, and it's an interesting monster. I'm a little curious though, and this is the only thing I can think of right now, does her mentioned 'inbreeding' affect her in any other ways?

Her "inbreeding" has possibly effected her in these two ways:
1. She's a bit slow on the Fear development scale in comparison to others of her species at her age. Where others may already begin blinding, she's still giving stomach aches. So, even though there is no way to choose which symptom of her fear may occur, she seems underdeveloped in that she has yet to cause the more serious symptoms at all. It's a good reason for why she was driven to Amityville too. She's the first to leave her little village, but also the one who needs fear-educating the most in a big way as well.
2. Her color is different. Like the reference image shows, most tatzelwurms are black or dark colored to help them slink around in the dark unseen. She, however, lacks pigment in her scales which accounts for her being abnormally white.

I don't really have any criticism! I think she sounds pretty fleshed out and you seem to have a good handle on her personality. I've never heard of this monster before so I especially like her!
What sort of classes would interest her the most? Or would she just take everything? Would she go overboard in her academic enthusiasm and possibly overload her school schedule?
You mention that she doesn't quite understand why she doesn't get good grades. Does this discourage her? She doesn't seem like she'd be too let down, but at the same time I feel like if you throw yourself into something that much that you would be discouraged by failure in it.
Overall I find her very cool!

In the matter of classes, I'm thinking she might be one to participate in minipet training or botany. She's bound to enjoy the farm-like similarities, I reckon. Literature...she wants to be an academic student, but whether or not she'll sign up for every class there is- I think not. I don't see her having the drive just yet to be THAT brave all at once XD
... Lit would be enough to put her in a place of WRY I AM SMART inner security.
Discouragement? She's the type to smile and go on no matter the interior effects. I'm sure she'll be disappointed in herself at times and worry now and again like any ol' ghoul, but being put down for her grades is common. Her life story xD She'll seem to bound forward anywho~
Levi doesn't understand that in order to stay up and study properly, you first must be awake to do so... or that when you read a textbook, it's best not to use the index as a "nutshell" interpretation of the whole bound article...

I fail at crits, so we're going to see how this works. I"ll go for twenty-questions style, kay?
By the way, I think Levis is ADORABLE. Both physically and personality-wise. On to the real crit now!
-- How would Levis react if she was having a conversation with someone that actually was of a very high-intelligence? Would she still attempt to impress them with her random facts?
-- Student-wise, would she be more open to befriend (I know it said she gives everyone the benefit of doubt) a creature more similarly structured to her, due to her small-town mentality? (Aka, does she get along better with other serpent-like/snake creatures, in comparison to someone who's a bird?)
-- Does Levis want to date, or have a relationship? How would she feel if someone tried courting her? Would she ever ask someone on a date, and how would she do it, if she did?
I...don't have any other questions for now. XD;; I think Levis is a really awesome character, and I bet she'd get along rather well with my quest character Quarria. (She's a Amphithere (which is a kind of dragon that looks like a huge winged-serpent) so I could see them both being like, "Wrestle?~ :'D *True forms*" and having a lot in common.) I'd definitely want RP with her if we both get our characters. If you want, you can crit Quarria back for me? :'D;;

Hokay- to kinda go along with the fact that she's inbred, her town basically lets her do what she wants :3 She has learned about providing food and keeping spaces clean, but for the most part (traditional sort of town)... she'd rather be out rough-playing with the boils. The boils never consider her of a mating quality despite any appearances because she's so much like them.
If there was ever a scenario where she, for some reason, needed to court someone else, Levi... would probably try alternate methods such as writing a letter or leaving odd hints by the student's dorm door/seat in class. Something completely out of her regular character- because that's what dating is for her right now...kinda out there. The method of courting Levi would be a hard trial to be sure. Nothing is impossible...but it would be a mission and a half. And then another full mission ...>>; yeah. Trira I...don't have any other questions for now.
