Darcy paced idly, waiting for the pumpkin demon to arrive. This was boring, waiting up here by herself. She munched on a pumpkin cookie as she walked around, idly kicking a rock around to pass the time. The tray of pumpkin-spice cookies lay on top of one of the flatter rocks, two thermoses of hot cider beside it.
If the boy didn't hurry up, there wouldn't be any cookies left by the time he arrived. Impatient, Darcy? No, of course not, what gave you that idea? To be honest, her boredom was her fault. She was the one who'd come out here earlier than necessary. She was the one who hadn't brought a book or her DS or something. She had no one else to blame but herself.
The girl muttered to herself, finishing off her cookie. Mmm, pumpkinney goodness. She made her way back over to the tray, nabbing another to munch on as she waited.

If Ary hadn't dragged him to the place and threatened to remove his tail if he tried to escape, Azrael was pretty sure he wouldn't have showed up. After his daring escape from the Azoulai's on Halloween night, he wasn't sure how much he had been forgiven. Could they really blame him? Sitting around was boring and it was his holiday so he just did what he felt was necessary, thus escaping when their back was turned.
Slowly, the boy walked up to the meeting location, vaguely pondering what exactly would happen on the meeting. At least, till he saw the pumpkin cookies. "Are those pumpkin cookies?" Azrael asked, instantly picking up his pace and hovering over the baked goods. "Smells good."

Darcy smirked, letting out an amused half-chuckle. Figures the cookies would be the first thing to capture his attention. "Yes, those are pumpkin spice cookies. Figured they may be to your liking." Was she trying to be hospitable? Maybe. Or maybe she just really liked pumpkin cookies. It was anyone's call, really. The girl's interest in the bakery confections was waning, however, in the face of something much more intriguing.
"My, haven't you grown since I last saw you." the girl said, pocketing the rest of her cookie for later. "Last time I saw you, you were still little." A new emotion crept across her features, mingling with her amusement....was that annoyance? Irritation? She remembered. Oh, did she remembered. That was so awkward, summoning parents up to the caves only to tell them oops, the kid they were SUPPOSED to be taking home with them ran away. Holding a bit of a grudge? Maybe; that was yet to be seen.

Azrael flashed Darcy an award winning smile, grabbing a cookie and nearly inhaling it. " 'Couse. Love pumpkins, obviously," he replied, enjoying the taste of it. Ary never had cookies at her house for obvious reasons and as such it was nearly impossible for him to get his daily intake of them and their sugary goodness.
Then the topic changed and he looked almost sheepish. Drat, he was hoping she had forgotten or wouldn't bring the subject up... "It's been a while so is it really all that surprising that I've become oh so handsome and awesome since then?" Azrael asked, orange eyes flashing in the light. Prideful till the end as always. "And don't worry, I'm not running off this time. I've been, ah, persuaded to stay," he added as a flash of what could only be described as fear appeared on his face. Ary was indeed persuasive enough. "So, why am I up here again? Please tell me you're not sending me off to the family I was supposed to be with..."
