Heaven-Leigh lowered her head to the cool stream and took in a long drink. It was very cold, but refreshing. She knew that soon the water would get much colder, and she wondered briefly whether any of the streams or ponds would freeze over or not. Winter wasn't really her favorite season. The snow was beautiful, but so cold, and food was harder to find. She hoped that maybe this winter would be warmer than others.

She raised her head and looked around at her surroundings. It was unusually quiet. She wondered whether not anyone was around. Where were her friends today? Or perhaps, maybe she would meet someone new. Heaven-Leigh always liked exploring because more often than most she did in fact meet someone new. She wondered what kind of adventures today would bring.

Livi was bored, the animal's she alway's watched weren't around and the nice warm air was getting colder. It was confusing but she heard someone talk about this once. It was the coming of winter and most animal's would be starting to hibernate. She sighed this was boring but she had to except it. Stares at the floor and see's a little blue and black lizard. She blinked and smiled. "I've never seen you before." Follow's the cute little guy as he skitter's away. "Wait! wait! I just want to experiment on you!"

The little lizard ran into a large bush, and when she followed she came out in a lovely clearing with a lovely stream running through it. At the edge of the stream was a curious looking soquili with a long skinned tail with a small tuff of fur, like a lion. And adorning her head was a single horn. Livi's eye's shone with the prospect to learn. The creature before her was something she only heard about it was, "A Unicorn!" She grinned wide and trotted over and looked at her closely. "Hello miss I'm Livi can I ask you somethings? Good. Is it true that you can heal? are you as sweet as everyone say's? Can I touch your horn? Why does your maine act like that? it's so cool looking. Plus your color's are so bright and happy! It's very nice to meet you by the way. It's also interesting to see a Soquili wearing clothes normally that;s reserved for the human's... They fit you though very adorable, the star's are a nice delicate touch too... I like your bird." Grin's as she pauses to hear some replies and to think up more question's to ask.

Heaven-Leigh's ears perked up as she heard someone approaching - so today would be a day for new friends after all! She was very excited to see a mare coming her way. She was a purplish color on her back, and half way down the purple faded into blue and got lighter until it reached her hooves. She had bright, curious blue eyes and interesting white markings on her face. Before Heaven-Leigh could say anything the mare began to greet her, asking her many questions and just bubbling with excitement. Heaven-Leigh couldn't help but smile, and finally when the mare was finished, she let out a giggle. It sure was something getting so many compliments in one hello. Heaven-Leigh wasn't the only one that had gotten compliments though.

Skylar had fluttered down from Heaven-Leigh's head and came to rest on Livi's shoulder. She puffed out her chest proudly and twittered her thanks.

Heaven-Leigh thought it polite to introduce Skylar first, since the little bird had taken rest upon Livi.

"Thank you! That's Skylar by the way. She likes getting compliments. My name's Heaven-Leigh! But you can just call me Leigh if you want to. Or Heaven, either is fine."

Heaven-Leigh smiled brightly before continuing, trying her best to remember all the questions she had been asked.

"I can heal you know! But I've never tried it. I've seen my mother do it before though, I'm sure it can't be very hard. I am glad I haven't had a need for it though, I wouldn't want anyone to be hurt..."

Heaven-Leigh let out another short giggle. The energy from Livi seemed to have rolled off in waves and was now saturating Heaven. She felt it was okay to talk this much to Livi, she seemed so curious and interested.

"I'm glad you like my clothes. They were given to me from a little girl from the village. Do you go around people often? Some of them are very nice, and they are always willing to take care of those that are in need. Sometimes they give you apples! I love apples!"

Leigh couldn't remember any of the other questions but finished here, lowering her head a little so Livi could reach her horn.

"You can touch it if you want. Just be careful! You said your name was Livi, right? It's nice to meet you!"

Livi was waiting smiling for answer's when the fluffy white bird flew down to perch on her shoulder. "Oh" She blinked looked at the little thing and smiled. "Hello, Skylar." She looked at Leigh and grind. "I like your name, heaven is supposedly a paradise in a two-legger culture which I think fit's a creature who can heal. But Leigh is funner to say so I'll call you that." After that comment she stopped and listened to the girl's answer's grateful for each.

As the beautiful uni finished she grinned and started her none stop reply.
"I'd really love to witness a healing. I wonder if I'll ever have the chance to experience it my self. That would be awesome! Though I guess I would have to be injured to be healed. Ah I know I need to see a kalona and have a uni on stand by so I can feel what pain fear and a kalona's attack and a uni's healing at once. Have you ever met a kalona? I really would like to see one they are supposed to be one of the evilest creatures in the world, except a skinwalker. I wouldn't want to see one of those close up though watching one kill might be very educational and talking to one would be so cool! But I might get killed and my life is something I rather not give up there is way to much to learn for my life to end. Oh but that's totally out of context isn't it. Hmm, a two-legger village? I can't learn from two-legger's apart from watching them that is. Since they can't understand me and I cant understand them. Though they seem rather intelligent so i might go into one of there villages some day to get a closer look. But maybe you can answer some of my questions now. What are the thing's they use to make those close? They are really intricate machines they use to turn the fur of an animal into what your wearing, which is interesting but I have no clue what to call them. Apple's re those large red fruits right? I never had the chance to try one but I heard they taste sweetly sour. I guess that would be another good reason to visit for the chance to taste a rare fruit." She grinned and reached head up to snuffle the blue horn. "It's hard and smooth. It's weird that a creature known for being kind and adverse to blood as much as they are, they would have such a nice weapon that they could use to hurt but is instead used for healing. Do you know why this is?" She looked at her with a quizzical look on her face as she waited for new answer's

Heaven-Leigh just started at Livi for a few seconds. She said so much all at once that it was a bit confusing. Not only that though, Leigh was a little bit in shock. Livi had said something about getting hurt by a Kalona, or meeting a skin walker...and...stuff about killing...it was all a little frightening to Leigh. She didn't like the idea of someone seeming so naive as Livi to meet anything so evil as a kalona or a skinwalker. But before Leigh could voice her opinion about this, Livi was already on to the next topic.

Leigh couldn't image a soquili never visiting the village. "You've never been to the village before?" She asked interestedly. "But the Kawani people are so kind. It's true, you can't communicate with them, but they really know how to take care of our kind. And yes, Apples are the large red fruits! They are mostly sweet, so you must be thinking of the green kind. Those can be sour! I'm not sure how they make clothes, I've never seen it done, but some of the two-leggers are very talented! They can make all kinds of things!"

Leigh raised her gaze to try to stare at her horn, though it was difficult without going cross eyed. She blinked and looked back at Livi, trying to answer her last question. "I'm not sure," she answered. "It's for defense I think..."

Skylar was now burrowing in Livi's hair, twittering happily and comfortably.

Livi twitched her ear's as she though. "I suppose it would be fun to go and visit one. Can you describe what the villages were like? Well besides that they make stuff and that it's full of two legger's that give you apple's." She didn't go off on a large rush of question's this time. She wanted a description not simple answers.

"Well," began Leigh, trying to think of a way to explain that Livi might understand, "It's kind of like...a forest! Only, instead of trees, there are teepee's. That's what the two-leggers live in."
She had started using Livi's term "two-leggers" instead of people or humans; it had caught on and just stuck.
"There are lots of Teepee's and little fires outside to keep warm around, and there are also stables where horses can go to keep warm. You can always find two-leggers outside working or just hanging around. There are also lots of two-legger children running about! There's always something going on it seems. I don't go there a lot though, I live a ways away from the village."

She tilted her head to the side and then asked, "Where do you live, Livi?"
PostPosted: Wed Nov 24, 2010 10:08 pm

Livi smiled and nodded. It was interesting hearing about this other world. Even though she alway's thought of the two legger's as a waste of time maybe, she thought, she'd try and visit a village. "Teepee's huh? I think I met someone once who lived in a teepee. It wasn't a forest of teepee's though, only one. They can also control fire? that's impressive I defiantly have to stay a night or two in a village settlement." She flick's her ears and smiles. "Do you know how they make fire? Or how they keep it from burning down their teepee forest? How do they get all those teepee's up in the first place?" She was about to ask a couple more like what stable's were when something odd for her happened. She'd just been asked a question, not only that it was a personal question. "Er what? Where I live? Well um no where and everywhere I suppose. I wander a lot and so do my parent's so I don't really have a place I live. I really like it like that though I wish I could spend a little more time with my family, it's fine I chose this life style." She smiled with a nod to her choice and looked at the pretty mare. "Where do you live?"

Heaven-Leigh liked Livi's questions because they made her think. It was true, she was really knowledgeable about humans and common-place objects, but she wasn't sure all the details behind them, like how they worked and things like that. She knew what things were, but she didn't know how to use them. It wasn't something she needed to know, since she herself didn't have a need for them or was able to use them.

"I'm not sure...again," she answered with a laugh. She wished she could answer all of her questions. "It is pretty impressive, huh? They don't have hooves like us, they have..." she paused, trying to think of the right word. "Hands. And they can grab onto things and I'm sure that gives them the ability to do lots of things we can't."

"You travel a lot? It must be fun, but I imagine it could be tiring as well. But you get to see your family from time to time right?"

"I live in a teepee!" She giggled, knowing she had forgotten to mention this before when she first spoke of Teepee's. "Well, not in the teepee, but close by it. I'm close with a two-legger named Liluye. She lives in a teepee, and I live near by. She doesn't live in the village though, she lives a little ways away, by the river that runs between the village and the forest. There's another soquili that lives with us too, his name is Abdiel. He's a unicorn like me. Oh! You know, he travels a lot too!"
PostPosted: Thu Nov 25, 2010 10:51 pm

Livi nodded she had to agree that two legger's could be impressive. She actually alway's wished she could talk with one, just have a long conversation, but well that's impossible. "They really are interesting too bad we can't understand each other. The hand thing's that's what they have instead of front hooves right? It's amazing what they can do with them and how they can balance on only two leg's." She thought some thinking how cool it'd be to have hands. Though she still preferred being what she was to anything else, well besides being a wind soquili.

"Travailing is fun! I get to go all over the world, though I normally stay in forest's or plains. I like green and plus there's a higher chance to see my parent's that way. I rarely get to see them since we all travel. Though tomorrow I'm gonna meet my mom, my brother, and one of his son's. I'm so excited I'm an aunt it seems. Make's me want to be a mom." With a smile at the idea of experiencing something as amazing as making a new life. "Traveling isn't so tiring if you go at your own pace, it's relaxing."

She flicked her ear's excitedly, "You live with a human? You can do that? Maybe I should find a human to live with... Oh but then I couldn't live the way I want to, could I? It'd be so educational if I could. I'd be able to watch them constantly and maybe learn to understand their language. Can you understand human?" When Leigh mentioned the other Soquili Livi's ear's shot forward. He seemed like someone she'd love to talk with, a fellow explorer how fun! "I'd love too meet him. If he travel's he might be able to answer some question's I have and we could swap information! Do you think I could meet him?"

Heaven-Leigh thought about it for a second too; the fact that they could walk on two legs. She had to agree, it was pretty impressive.

"Wow," Heaven-Leigh exclaimed as Livi mentioned being an aunt. "Congratulations! I'm happy you'll be able to see your family too! That must be really exciting!"

"Yes, I always have a teepee to go to if I ever need it! But I don't stay there all the time. I like to explore too." She giggled. "Like right now. And no, I can't understand human, unfortunately. I wonder if you could though. Maybe I should try."

As for Abdiel, Heaven-Leigh wasn't sure. She figured if she could track him down, then of course she could talk to him. "Well, we'd have to find him first if you want to talk to him."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 26, 2011 6:52 pm

Livi grinned large as she nodded at Leigh's awe. "It will be great, I can't wait to pick My brother's brain about father hood and to examine as the child act's. I will have fun specially since I haven't seen my mom nor my brother since I left, though brother left our parent's first." She stared off into space for a few seconds as she remembered her own foal hood and how she alway's used to escape from her parent's disapproving eye's as she learnt about the world.

Back from her revery of the past she took a slightly serious face as she nodded like exploring was the only way of life. "I never stay in a single place long enough to have a home and I rarely ever return to a single area, unless of course there are reasons for me to do so. Like f I was meeting a family member." She grinned at her silly little joke as she spoke.

"Human language would be the best thing to learn, I could find out so much more by observing them then I do now if their words just made sense." She scowled with aggravation with her inability to understand. Right then and there she told her self that she would learn how to understand the humans and learn their secret.

"Find him huh? It could be fun. Like an expedition for a lost artifact! It may be nice to explore with someone else." She grinned at Leigh fully expecting an adventure to open before them.

Leigh laughed joyfully at Livi's hunger for knowledge. She seemed to be having so much fun trying to learn new things. And the aspect of learning from her brother about new foals seemed exciting as well. "I've never met many foals myself, it would be interesting! And to learn from one's own brother, that is a very special thing indeed." She paused for a second, taking everything in. "I don't have a brother." She smiled, "Unless you count Abdiel!"

Heaven-Leigh's face lit up at the word adventure. "I would love to find him. He'd be so surprised. Perhaps we could find some two-leggers on the way and observe for awhile. I doubt Abdiel would be where the two-leggers are though. He's kind of a loner sometimes."

She turned her head left, and then right, then back towards Livi. "Shall we go?" she said with a grin.
PostPosted: Wed May 30, 2012 11:26 pm

Livi smiled she liked the sound of Leighs laughter, though she liked knowing things more then that. "I agree being able to have my brother's to experience things I may never experience that I can then ask about. Though I can get that from anyone that's willing enough to answer me." She tilted her head thinking for a bit about Abdeil being like her brother. "Well Leigh If you believe in what some say about Families not needing to have blood tie then yes you can consider him a brother. I haven't met anyone I felt that close to before though so i can't be sure. It'd be nice to experience you know, having someone so close you consider family."

Livi nods excitedly. "We might even get to meet a kalona or a flutter and learn about other Soquili. That would be exciting, and educational. We may even meet someone who can understand human."

She was brimming with the need to move, the needs to see and explore, see if she could really find what they described. So right when Leigh mentioned going she enthusiastically answered, "Of course!" ad trotted a few feet forward before she relized she had no idea where to go. Slightly embarrassed she turned to look at Leigh and ask, "So Leigh which way do you think Abdeil is?"

Smiling was contagious when you were around someone such as Livi. It was as if the two of them were smiling and talking excitedly like they had known each other for a long time. Even Skylar seemed to be twittering away happily in Leigh's hair. Leigh also liked the idea of thinking of Abdiel as her brother. She wondered what Abdiel would say about it though.

Leigh looked towards the mountains and a tingling excitement trickled over her. A friend had once told her to be careful near the mountains, but if Abdiel was anywhere, he might be there.

"I think," she said, pointing her head in the direction of the mountains. "We should go that way."
