Lily stood in front of an apartment building, looking at the floors and windows. She did not think, she had ever been inside an apartment building, but she was about to have her first visit to one. She wanted to see how Xavier was getting along with his newly broken arm, she remembered when she had sprained her hand and was unable to do much in the way of senshi dome. It was not fun, but her hands had healed a little faster than average and it had surprised her brother. She couldn't imagine six weeks of feeling useless.
Walking into the building, she looked down at the address and headed to up to the door that was specified. She frowned not wanting to knock. What if she had gotten the address wrong, oh how embaressing it would be for her. She bet the person living in the apartment would not enjoy having a random stranger knocking at the door.
Lily swallow and knocked quickly, though not at all hard and waited for a moment. No one came and so she knocked again, a bit harder.
She stood waiting at the door and feeling like a dunce, fore it seemed she probably had written down the wrong address. Oh, she though, wondering if she should have called first. She hadn't wanted to ruin the surprise, but now she was seriously comtemplating a phone call.

Knock Knock Knock went the fist on the door. Nothing moved inside the apartment for a moment.
Knock Knock Knock it went again, a little louder. The cat that had been laying on top of the body sprawled on the couch jumped off the meow loudly at the door, and the man that had served at cat-cushion finally started to stir.
He couldn't work. He'd tried to, but his manager had refused to let him - she'd replaced his shifts for the next few weeks upon hearing what happened at the ball, and she utterly refused to let Xavier work on a broken arm. She'd all but shoo'ed him away.
He could do school, but his right arm was his writing arm. It didn't help him in any way, and he spent most of class trying to decode the very weirdly written notes of the previous day.
He couldn't even try to pretend to be a senshi, because Bell had his damn pen. It was for his own good, and he'd proved it to himself in his short attempt of being anything useful - but a part of him missed it. Carved it like nothing else. He missed his coat, he missed his god damn princess tiara, and he missed the newly-earned feeling of not being completely helpless. He missed feeling like he was actually strong, he missed jumping from roof to roof like a Big Damn Hero, and he missed the adrenaline rush that came with fighting youma. To think, not so long ago, he'd have looked for reasons not to be a senshi.
Not that he did particularly think he deserved to be one at the moment, still. Lethargy was a b***h.
In lack of anything else to do, thanks to having no classes that day, Xavier had chosen to fuse with the couch, and become a glorified cat-bed. Said cat kept on meowing.
"Yeah... Yeah... 'm coming..." Came the sleepy voice, loud enough for Lily to hear. She could also hear the footsteps, and then, finally, the door opened. The sight on the other side was a little hilarious. Xavier had very obviously not expecting anyone, and it was an unshaven, bed-headed 18 years old in a white t-shirt and p.j pants that greeted her. He also wasn't wearing any glasses. He squinted.
"...Lily ?"

Lily smiled at hearing the voice throught the door and the footsteps, but when the door opened she gasped and her hand flew to her mouth. Xavier, looked a complete mess. Lily became a little frantic in an instant.
"I am so sorry. I didn't think you would be sleeping. It is 4 in the afternoon. I should have called. I am really sorry I just thought you might like some company. I came to surprise you. I am really really sorry."
Lily frowned and her hands up to the mouth, clenched tight, embarassment evident by the blush that spread across her freckled cheeks. She felt like an idiot for not calling and the event might very well snuff any spontanuity the girl had right out of her.
"Maybe, I should go," she said softly feeling really really bad.

He blinked. Once. Twice. She was talking so fast that he really had issues keeping up, and it took him a few seconds to decode.
"S'fine." He bent down to pick up his cat before the tuxedo-patterned kitty could slide out the open door. Tempo looked at Lily with wide green eyes, and meowed at her.
"Well, don't just stay in the hall, won't you ?" He grinned, and slid over so he could let her in. "It's fine, really. I've probably looked worse in my life."
And Tallulah had probably seen worse, come to think of it. She'd known him back when he started growing his hair and then dyed it electric kool-aid blue for the sole purpose of pissing off his mother. He'd really looked retarded with electric kool-aid blue hair.

Lily nodded at the fine, or at least she thought that was what he said, but before she had the chance to decifier it she was sufficiently distracted by an adorable cat.
"Aww," she exclaimed as Xavier picked the cat up and it gave her a meow. She reached out presenting the cat her hand to sniff at before she proceeded to pet him all the while standing in the hallway. The cat was just so cute and she really loved animals.
Lily looked up when she was invited in and smiled before heading into Xavier apartment. "Are you sure about that," she asked refering to his statement and gave a small laugh before reaching out and patting down some errands hairs," because I'm not so sure."
Lily waited for Xavier to lead the way to wherever she would visit him at not wanting to simply wander him home all willy nilly. No, she was a proper lady and acted as such.

"I assure you there's nothing weird in here." He chuckled, letting Tempo down after he closed the door, and then used to free, valid hand to comb somewhat through his hair. The cat meowed again and rubbed herself against Lily's ankles.
He wasn't sure about all that, really, as he rarely let out people he barely knew in his apartment, but then... Lily was different, wasn't she ? He trusted her with many things, so why not this as well ?
"Do you want something to drink ?" He asked her, stiffling a yawn.

Lily grinned and giggled a bit when the cat rubbed against her ankles. "What is your cat's name? It is so cute and so friendly too. You must take very good care of it," she said relaxing a bit more.
Lily frowned at his yawn, feeling bad for interupting his nap, but it could not be helped now so she tried to keep herself from frowning. No need to ruin the visit. She shook her head at his offer, "No thank you. I have just had a snack before I came."
She seemed to remember something and open her school satchel and pulled out a bag. She handed it Xavier, "Fresh cookies from the bakery near the high school. They are really good. I though you might like some. I had oatmeal raisin, but your are chocolate chip and sugar cookies."
She bent down to pet the cat once more and looked up at Xavier, "I hope you have not been too bored, though I am sure you have something you can do for fun. I mean you have a whole apartment all to yourself. I think I would sing all day if I was all alone and would not bother anyone."

"Her name's Tempo." Xavier filled her in, and after she spoke, opened the fridge to take a can of cola out of it. "She's pretty friendly. Just try to support all her legs if you pick her up, or she might freak out a bit and claw at you to keep a grip."
He sat at one of the chairs, then, and motioned for her to sit next to him if he wanted. "Bored out of my damn mind, actually. i sleep way too much." And that was the truth. He'd pretty much napped the day away, in lack of anything to do, and, really, motivation to do anything. "My boss at work won't let me work until the cast is off." Ah, the wonder of part-timers. "And you should see my school notes. Im right-handed."
He perked a bit, and his eyes actually lit up when he saw the cookies. Oh, he knew that bakery. He used to hit it every day after school while he was still in Meadowview. "Oh man, I havn't had one of these cookies in forever. Thanks !" He accepted the package gratefully.
Still, a part of him kind of hoped she hadn't gone out of the way just for him. He didn't look that pathetic... didn't he ?
"Well, there's the things with apartments, you can end up bothering someone. Though not really at this time of the day, most of the rest of the building are adults that won't be back from work for a good hour or so."

Lily grinned at the name Tempo, it seemed befitting of the cat and even more so it made Lily wonder if maybe they had music in common. She was about to ask, but Xavier answered her question about boredom and she start to laugh, before rising and taking the seat next to him.
"If you are bored out your mind, why don't you call someone. We would all be more than happy to come visit or drag you out of your apartment, silly. No one said you had to be couped up like a caged bird. Not sure how much we can help with the school thing, but I for one am willing to try and you are very welcome. I love the bakery, the cookies are always so fresh."
Lily looked to around for a moment while Xavier spoke, then turned back to him. "I guess that means the walls are not so sound proof, huh? At least you have some free time to make noise, so long as it the good kind. I've had my fair share of bad noise and I would rather not be doused with more."
Lily grinned and looked around once more before her eyes fell on Tempo bringing her back to her previous train of though. "You named you cat Tempo. Does that mean that you might really like music," she said in a inquiring tone.

"Yeah, I guess..." He chuckled. He wasn't about to admit that he'd been brooding. Not to Lily, and not like this. His inner fears and troubles where his to bear, for the time being.
"Nah, they're not. It kind of sucks, but...You get used to it. Not that I think anyone could complain if they heard you singing." He unwrapped his cookies and took a bite of one - they were just as delicious as he remembered. "What, you don't like my noise ?" He asked, playfully.
"Though... yeah, I like music. I want to be a DJ." His turntables were in the living room, so of course she hadn't seen them. "Not that I can do a good demonstration one-handed."

Lily laughed lightly, but thanked Xavier for the compliment. She practiced her singing daily. She laughed even harder at the comment about his noise, "No your noise I think might just be the best kind," she said as she laughed.
She gave a grin wiping her eyes when he said he like music and wanted to be a DJ. It seemed like a very cool occupation to have and well Lily loved music, so she approved whole heartly.
"You know you should practice. It would be quite amazing if you could DJ with one hand. I mean some people have a partically done it, well in the movies anyway. I don't see why you should not try."
Lily looked around more intently, obviously looking for something for several moments. "Hey, Mr. DJ," she said with a little uncertainty, "How about you turn on the radio. I do not think a broken arm would prevent a little hair brush concerting, unless of course you have some mircophone lying around here."
Lily had lost the nervousness and apologeticness she had come in with and was now quite happy and enjoying herself.

"Movies and reality are two very different things, through." He said with a chuckle, and he finished his first cookie. Maybe he'd try, but he was mostly uninspired since his accident.
"Certainly not." He got up then, flicking the radio on, and sliding by the living room to get his glasses, and an actual microphone for her.
And then he seated himself again, ready to listen.

Lily grinned at being handing a microphone and stood instantly moving to give herself more room. She felt like a star and although it was childish, for a moment it would be fun to pretend to be one.
Lady Gaga's Just dance started on the radio and in an instant Lily was another person entirely. She started to sing and even dance, the words spilling from her lips in a voice uniquely her own, but the went well with the music, not clashing or missing a beat. She was in her element Lily loved to sing. She hoped to one day be a start, but while she loved to sing and certainly had the voice for it, she wasn't sure if she had that star quality yet. That and her dance moves need more working, taking ballet only helped a pop star but so much.

Lily was flushed and grinning like an idiot at the end of the song. She was extremely happy. She wanted to sing more, but was quick to offer the microphone to Xavier. "Your turn," she said happily, plopping down and allowing herself to catch her breath.

Xavier seemed to be of another mind - he had to find a way to get him to sing for her. Somehow somehow somehow. He had some trance songs, he had even lyrics, but his voice wasn't the best, especially for a such a thing. He liked to sing, but he wasn't delusional about it.
He accepted the microphone next, and gave a bit of a frown at the song that kept up next. Timing...

To call it completely atrocious was probably a stretch. It wasn't the nails on blackboard that Xavier so often pretended that his singing voice was. He had a nice voice, but he was completely off-key. He wasn't breathing right, either. Typical of someone who had no classes in singing.

Lily couldn't help, but to frown at the how off the sound was. Xavier had a nice voice, but he was totally off key and his breathing was all wrong. It took every ounce of her will power not to stop him, but her face said it all. Lily did not like any out of play awful noises, she never had.
She stood and grinned, "That was nice," she said before placing her hand over her hand over his diaphragm, "but you need to sing from here or else the notes won't come out completely right. Also you have to breathe as deeply as you can. Unfortunately, we do not need to use our entire lungs to keep us alive, but singing requires quite a bit more air."
Lily stepped back in was in full instruction mode. She hadn't meant to, but as soon as she had started she was focus. She placed her hands on both her sided below her diaphragm, fingers splayed about her stomach, thumbs on her back. "Watch," she said before she took a deep breathe. Her hands moved with breath and it was obvious to see she'd breathed inward and let the air fill out in all directions.
Lily grinned and sang out a sing note while let her breath out. She didn't force it or try to control it. She just let the air out natural like any other breath she might take. "Practicing your breathing really help."
She grinned lightly, "You try."
