Requiem

Firelord Ozai has been defeated, stripped of his fire-bending powers, and declared a traitor against the Fire Nation. It is the death of an era of war and suffering for the world. It is the end of an age of hate and terror.

~~~
Rebirth
Zuko has regained his honor and his birthright, ascending the throne as a prince of the Fire Nation. He struggles to reform the corrupt government and military and reestablish peaceful political relationships with the other Elemental Nations. There is also the search for his mother for him to worry about.
Aang, tired of war, has returned to the Southern Air Temple, seeking to restore it to its former glory and live in peace. Katara, Sokka, and Toph have accompanied him, but all of them know that the Avatar cannot simply turn away from the world. They live in a fragile harmony, knowing it will not last.
Azula languishes with her father in prison, gone completely mad with rage at being stripped of her power and rank. Secretly, she plots, intending on taking over the Fire Nation and killing Zuko. There are factions in the government and the military who plan to release her and rally behind her. Though few are aware of it yet, the Fire Nation is headed for civil war.
~~~

An era has ended and a new one begins. What part will you play in this new world?

WhiteWingtip
User Image

The hands of destiny are WhiteWingtip.

My own name is Zuko

I hail from the nation of Fire.

My life's story so far:
I grew up in the household of the Firelord, and as prince of the Fire Nation, I was often expected to show the same qualities as my father; Firelord Ozai. I was often over-shadowed by my prodigy sister, Azula. One night, my mother disappeared, and my grandfather died, naming my father as the new Firelord, and suspiciously not my Uncle Iroh, who was the older of the two.
At the age of fourteen I was allowed into a War Council and spoke out of turn. Because it was not my place to do so, it was seen as disgraceful, and I was forced to fight an Agni Kai, or fire duel, against my own father. When I refused to fight him and asked for forgiveness, he called me a weakling for my refusal to fight, and gave me the scar on my face; on my left eye and ear. I was banished from the fire nation and spent the next two years of my life trying to search and capture the Avatar to somehow regain my honour.
After a year long event that spanned from the time I found that the Avatar lived, and the time that Sozin's comet once again raged over-head, I spent my time trying to fight between regaining my honour the way my family had told me to, and between determining what was right and what was wrong. The one time I followed what I thought it would take to get my honour back, I betrayed my uncle while trying to capture the avatar.
I continued to try to find myself during that year and though I had done unspeakable acts while trying to capture the Avatar, I had a revelation and tried to make amends for what I had done. I left the fire nation to try to make amends, and found my uncle had escaped prison. After a while of convincing the Avatar and his friends, Toph, Katara, and Sokka, I became Aang's firebending teacher and earned their trust. I also met my uncle again as he planned to retake Ba Sing Se with the Order of the White Lotus and gained forgiveness from him.
I became firelord after my sister went mad with power and Aang had defeated my father and took away his bending abilities.
I look now to a new future for the fire nation, and I look towards a time of peace.

What am I like?
I am a bit uptight and serious, and tend to have a really short temper. I am very persistant in what I do, but the struggles between deciding what it right and what is honourable is sometimes a hard choice for me to make, and in my past led me to choose rather reckless actions. My uncle Iroh is my balance and stability. He can calm me and help me find myself when no one else will side with me. I am still trying to find myself, but I have found that working with the Avatar has made me see more clearly and I know he will be my ally in this uncertain future.

BrokenJanders
User Image

The hands of destiny are BrokenJanders

My own name is Toph Bei Fong

I hail from the nation of Earth

My life's story so far: Toph is the only child of the wealthy Bei Fong family, who reside in the Earth Kingdom town of Gaoling and whose symbol is a winged boar. Toph's parents are highly overprotective of her, viewing her disability as weakness. They assume that she is weak and vulnerable to everything around her. To avoid risk and danger, they kept her lessons at the beginner level of earthbending for over six years and had guards keep close watch on her at all times.

Despite her handicap Toph has developed special skills that make her a very formidable Earthbender. Once, when she was very young, Toph ran away from home, seeking refuge in nearby caves. It was there she found companionship with the blind, earthbending Badgermoles that inhabited the caves. By imitating their movements, Toph came to harness her own earthbending abilities, becoming a master in her own right. However, she kept her talent secret from her family and Master Yu, her earthbending teacher. Toph fought frequently in Earth Rumble, an underground earthbending Lei tai tournament, under the alias "The Blind Bandit". By the time Aang and his friends discover Toph at the tournament, she had won her way to become the current champion, holding a 42-0 win-loss record prior to her encounter with Aang.

Toph stayed in companionship with the avatar until Sozin's Comet arrived and they parted so that Toph could fight the Airships with Sokka and Suki. She remains in close contact with the Avatar and his friends.

What am I like?
Likes :: Teasing, Earthbending, Fighting,
Dislikes :: being patronized,

Personality :: fiercely independent, sarcastic, direct, brutally frank, and confrontational. Quick to anger at others.

WhiteWingtip
User Image

The hands of destiny are WhiteWingtip.

My own name is 'The Cabbage Merchant'.

The magic words are "NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA!"

I hail from the nation of Earth.

My life's story so far:
I grew up in a small town in the Earth Kindgom. We were occupied by the Fire Nation up until rescently. My family cultivated cabbages for centuries, and ever since I was a young man I have been selling our cabbages across the Earth Kingdom. Things were good despite being at war with the Fire Nation.
I was just a peaceful Cabbage Merchant minding my own business in Omashu one day when out of the sky fell the Avatar and his troop, and they landed right on my cabbages! The whole lot were ruined and I had to trek all the way back home after King Bumi compensated me for my loss. I had demanded it of course. The next time I ran into the avatar was not a pleasant memory. I was stacking my cabbages lovingly in my cart when the avatar flew through my cart and pushed it back with his bending into pirates! My cabbages were destroyed once again!
I thought I would be safe in Ba Sing Se from the avatar's destructive habits, and so I went to take a ferry. However... the woman at the till said that my cabbages were not to come through. They were foreign... what a horrible word! A giant platypus-bear consumed all of them in front of my eyes! It was devastating! My poor cabbages!
I told my story to a Fire Nation scribe back at my village while restocking once again. Apparently he made it into a play. Bah... as long as the Avatar stays away from my cabbages and I, the future should hold better fortunes.

What am I like?
"Usually irate and upset over the destruction of his latest cart, the cabbage merchant wishes nothing more to be left alone to sell his cabbages -- preferably as far away from the Avatar and his party as possible." (Avatarspirit.net)

Irako of the Desert
User Image

The hands of destiny are Irako of the Desert.

My own name is Azula.

The magic words are NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA

I hail from the nation of Fire.

My life's story so far:
I am the younger sister of the current Firelord (Zuko usurped my throne, you see). I am named for my grandfather, Fire Lord Azulon and was raised like royalty ought to be raised, in total luxury. I was Father's favorite, since I've been a better Firebender than Zuko for my whole life. He picked me to be his heir, and I was to be crowned Firelord, until my traitorous brother ruined everything. It's his fault that my friends Mai and Ty Lee turned against me. He poisoned their minds with his treachery and dishonor.

Oh, yes, I forgot about the Avatar. He's just as bad as my brother. You see, I used to hunt him after Zuko failed for two years to capture him. I was far more successful than my useless brother, fighting and defeating the Avatar a number of times. I would have captured him, except that certain inadequate subordinates failed me at critical moments.

Right now, I'm sitting in a prison alone. My brother has left me here to rot, and doesn't dare visit me. He knows I'm the rightful Firelord, and he knows he cheated in our last Agni Kai. He brought that stupid Waterbender along and used her to defeat me! Oh, Zu-Zu pretends that I'm not in prison. He calls it a 'mental health facility'. He says it's to help me get better, except that there's nothing wrong with me. I'm a threat to him and he know it, but doesn't have the guts to kill me. Hah, but I'll kill him and prove that I'm better.

What am I like?
Due to Azula's insanity, any self description cannot be considered reliable. The following description comes from Avatar Wiki.

like her father, Azula hungers for personal power and is a dedicated nationalist, though ultimately her loyalties always lie with her own self, not any friends, family, country, or abstract values. Harboring a high intolerance of imperfection, Azula relentlessly drills herself towards perfection and settles for nothing less from herself or those that serve her. She believes that power and domination are what makes a person strong. She has absolute confidence in her "divine right to rule" which she believes she was born with. She has neither pity nor mercy towards those she marks as treasonous or inferior.

Azula is marked by a distinct lack of empathy. Even as a child, she was seen to react with hostility when outdone, when she shoved Ty Lee to the ground after Ty Lee had ousted her in gymnastics. This behavior would characterize her relationship with her friends for many years. Although she could show sympathy towards them, she never cared for their feelings and manipulated them as she saw fit, such as when she threatened Ty Lee into leaving the circus and joining her cause. She is prone to asserting herself and her authority in a grandiose way, such as when she humiliated Long Feng in front of his former henchmen, or when she threatened the captain of her ship. She also shows a need for admiration from her father, whom she emulates to a great degree, and to a lesser extent from everyone else around her. She is shown reacting with despair and rage when she learned her father was going to the Earth Kingdom without her. She also becomes very violent (burning down a house) when rejected romantically by Chan. These are all traits of a Narcissistic Personality Disorder while her lack of empathy as a child and purposeful harming of animals is a sign of Conduct disorder.

Azula's characteristic blue flames symbolize the power she possesses and constantly seeks to increase. Her apathy also accounts for her ability to create and direct lightning, the "cold-blooded fire". According to Iroh, the skill requires complete control of all emotion, which would not prove difficult for Azula with her one-track mentality. Because of these skills, she is also an excellent tactician, regularly displaying cunning, perception, and resourcefulness that allows her to take advantage of almost any situation. She possesses good self control, facing down Long Feng and deceiving him when held captive, and can lie with a straight face and no physical reactions.

Ironically, for all her refinement and self-confidence, Azula does retain some insecurity. As a result of her sequestered life of royalty, she has developed a considerable amount of social ineptitude, particularly in her uncertainty of how to act around boys, and she frequently intimidates them during conversation. Her overly competitive nature surfaces during a Kuai Ball game, and she later admits her jealously over how much attention Ty Lee receives from others.

In the day preceding her coronation, Azula became excessively paranoid, banishing all of her subjects for minor or suspected offenses. When she styles her hair for the coronation, she is so frustrated by her inability to tie up her hair bun that she cuts away her trademark bangs, leaving her hair a tattered mess. She then sees her mother in her mirror in an apparent hallucination. Her mother compliments her, saying that she always had beautiful hair. Azula then asks her mother why she was there, and Ursa tells her that she wouldn't miss her daughter's coronation. Azula tells her not to pretend to act proud, stating that she knew her mother thought she was a monster. The hallucination of her mother then tells her that she doesn't think that, that Azula is just confused, and that she loves her. Azula then goes deeper into insanity, throws her brush at the mirror, breaking it, and breaks down crying. She didn't seem surprised by her hallucination, implying it might not have been the first one.

This incident exposes a complex facet to Azula's persona. Although outwardly maintaining a cold and dismissive opinion of her mother as witnessed in the episode "The Beach", Ursa's banishment ultimately had a devastating impact upon Azula's fragile psyche, possibly even more so than it did her brother Zuko. As Azula's sanity began slipping away from her, this inability to reconcile her perceived belief that Ursa considered her a monster with the truer (though idealized) maternal feelings of love and support that Ursa demonstrated in the hallucination created an inescapable conflict in her mind that furthered Azula's eventual mental collapse. Another thread to this argument is that Azula may have harbored a guilt-ridden conscience, long suppressed or held at bay for many years by her indominable will, but now rearing itself stronger than before in the form of her mother Ursa (whose love and guidance she secretly longed for but could never have) and whose gentle, motherly concerns over Azula's use of fear and cruelty as her only means of maintaining relationships with friends and family alike induces a violent near mental breakdown prior to her coronation.

It would also seem that in her ever increasing insanity, Azula gave into her fear of being killed. She accused her servant of purposely leaving a pit in her cherry so that she'll choke. She gets mad at the Dai Li when they arrive five minutes late, suggesting an assassin could sneak in, kill her, and "be on his merry way". She then suggests that the Dai Li could betray and kill her ("just like Mai and Ty Lee"), and banishes them. She then begins keeping her back against one of the throne's canopy poles, probably out of fear of being attacked or killed from behind.

It also appears that she wasn't sleeping well as she had dark circles under her eyes, implying that she might have feared someone killing her in her sleep. Upon Lo and Li's arrival to counsel her, Azula's fear of disappointing her father is clear and becomes so enraged when her old mentors' question her wishes that she momentarily forgets that they are not Firebenders.

Azula shows up at her coronation impatient and with her hair still a mess. Katara and Zuko then arrive to fight her, and she constantly provokes the duo as she attacks them. When Katara finally defeats Azula and chains her to the ground, Azula screams in anger and breathes fire uncontrollably, struggling to break herself free in extreme rage, falling into complete insanity. She drags herself along the ground helplessly, as Zuko and Katara look on in pity and horror. Throughout the series, Azula appeared to be unaffected by her failure to kill the Avatar, but her failed relationship with her mother (and her jealousy towards Zuko for receiving more of their mother's affection) coupled with the betrayal she suffered at the hands of Mai and Ty Lee (who were the closest persons in her entourage) and her subsequent defeat by Zuko and Katara, finally sends Azula over the edge as she cracks, screaming and crying uncontrollably.

Irako of the Desert
User Image

The hands of destiny are Irako of the Desert.

My own name is Kallan Fiamma

I hail from the nation of Fire

My life's story so far...

Might as well start with the beginning. My father is a soldier in the Fire Nation army. He's served honorably for the past twenty years, or at least that's what everyone thinks. In reality, he's a traitor to the Fire Nation.

Yeah, you heard me right. You see, a long time ago, he was part of a unit that hunted down Waterbenders from the Southern Swamps. One of the prisoners was a woman. My father had captured her personally and was assigned to guard her. He wasn't able to treat her like the other guards did, with disrespect and cruelty. He was an honorable man, and honor dictated that he treat a woman kindly, no matter what her Nation was. After two months serving as her guard, he finally could take it no longer. He began to plan a way to break her out of imprisonment.

Six months later, back in Fire Nation territory, he was ready. He carried out his plan and escaped with his prisoner into the night. After a month of being pursued, they managed to finally become free.

In order to keep anyone from finding out who the woman really was, my father married her and helped disguise her as a Fire Nation citizen. He bought land in the countryside with his savings and built her a house. Then it was back to war for him.

It wasn't long until I was born. My mother raised me in the tradition of the Southern Waterbenders, teaching me how to heal with herbs and grow plants. We lived like this until I was five years old and first demonstrated my bending talent.

With a father who's a Firebender and a mother who's a Waterbender, you can guess that they were a little concerned as to what I would turn out to be. How would it look for a loyal Fire Nation soldier to sire a Waterbender, one of the enemy? Both of my parents wished that I would turn out not to have any bending talent, but they were denied.

At age five, I happened to be playing in a nearby river while my mother washed clothes. I was jumping from rock to rock until I was out in the middle. Too late, my mother saw me and cried out. Her cry startled me and I slipped off the wet rock into the river. Instinctively, I put out my hands and pushed the water away, seeking a way to shore. The water flew away from me, leaving the riverbed dry in a path big enough for me to walk on, and I ran to my mother.

It was only later that I figured out that my mother hadn't saved me with her talent. I had done it myself through pure instinct. From then on, I shared my mother's secret.

At age twelve, I attended school. At age thirteen, I advanced to the Azulon Civic Academy with the top scores in the Fire Nation. My parents had no idea that I would prove to be an adept student, and were dismayed at the attention that I was getting. They feared their secrets would be uncovered. I did my best to protect them, though, by burying myself in my studies and eschewing friendships.

By the time I was fifteen, I was the aide of the Assistant Chief of Staff in the Firelord's summer palace. By sixteen, I had been promoted to Assistant Chief of Staff myself, with my superior taking the place of the old Chief of Staff. It was then that Sozen's Comet came and the Avatar ended the war.

Not long after, Prince Zuko took over the government. He took an inspection tour of the Nation and stopped at the Firelord's summer palace. The Chief of Staff had been sick that day with food poisoning, so it was my duty to report and conduct a tour of the palace. It was the singular most frightening experience of my life. I feared that he would see me as a traitor and have me executed for being a Waterbender after torturing the truth about me. His father had been a terror to the palace staff, with Princess Azula coming a close second, so I expected no less from Prince Zuko.

He turned out to be much kinder than I expected. He noticed my nervousness and did his best to put me at ease. His scar, rather than being intimidating, only served to make him become less like a demon in my eyes. I saw a young man forced to realize hard truths at a very young age, and I pitied him.

I am still Assistant Chief of Staff, and I am just turning seventeen this year.

What am I like? I'm very serious and professional. My subordinates have nicknamed me the Ice Queen because I never lose my temper. I juggle multiple things at once all the time, and am skilled at coordinating many efforts. I tend to be less than diplomatic at times, but those who have known me for a while realize that I don't do it out of enmity. I enjoy my work, and I hate slackers.

Kiva Wildfire
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The hands of destiny are Kiva wildfire.

My own name is Jezabel Star

I hail from the nation of earth

My life's story so far: I was born of the fire nation but raised by the earth nation as their warrior and their daughter they cared for me and loved me. My mother and father had both ran away from the nation out of fear of the immanent war. Unfortunately the war caught up with them and they lost their lives, right in front of me because of a fire bender. I was 13 and already showing that I was a skilled fire bender. After watching my parents burn from the fire benders hate I blocked out the ability to bend. The fire benders did not get me because I had been hidden. When I was finally found by the Kyoshi warriors they brought me back to the earth kingdom and raised me in the ways of their own. I have no memory of my past and fire scares me so much that I freeze in my place, or I used to until I was trained by them to push it to the back of my mind.
What am I like? It depends on my personality at the time. Due to the traumatic event I have three voices in my head, one is aggressive and violent, the other peaceful, and then their is me, who is a little bit of both. A passive aggressive girl who has no memory. I try to help people out when ever and where ever I can but it never works the way I want it too.

Friend of a vampire
User Image

The hands of destiny are Friend of a vampire.

My own name is Tally

I hail from the nation of Water

My life's story so far: I was born in the swamps with her mother dying in childbirth. With none of the men able to care for me I was taken in by a young couple. They were nice enough but so boring I felt as if I was suffocating, they didn't supply me with any means of adventure to sooth my spirit or to teach me anything that was interesting. When I was fourteen they finally decided to tell me more about my birth. I always knew where I was from but to discover my father was a waterbender was exactly what I wanted. Exactly what my parents feared. Maybe they were right, the moment I found out that such an amazing power might be inside me I had to learn about it. The fire nation was still in control then so I had to run away, there was no one to teach me until this year. The fire nation was backing down, apologizing I heard, I can finally look for a teacher in the open.

What am I like? I'm "too energetic for my own good". Really I love adventure and people, the differences between them and high places. I love high places so much. Drama, bleh, everybody seems to have it, to share with the stranger you'll never see again is a life goal to people.

Cerebian
User Image

The hands of destiny are Cerebian.

My own name is Callia (kal-eh-a) Avani aka Cali .

The magic words are NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA.

I hail from the nation of Earth.

My life's story so far: Born in Omashu to a wealthy family Callia showed signs of Earth bending from a young age. She lived happily at home with her brother and her parents until the Fire Nation took over. Her older brother Tai was killed for resisting the Fire Nation and her parents killed for spying. She escaped and hid out until the Fire Nation was driven out. During this time she trained her skills and holds a deep resentment for them still. Once Omashu was taken back and back in Earth hands Callia came out of hiding and now wanders the world in search of either vengeance or peace.

What am I like? Callia is short tempered when she wants to be but she can also be calm and collected. She is loyal to those she finds worthy and can be a bit suspicious of people now. She has a sweet side and is known for her mood swings. She’s strong willed and won’t let people walk over her. Not afraid to speak her mind her mouth has gotten her in trouble more than once, but her bending can more than keep her safe.

Kaito_7420
User Image

The hands of destiny are Kaito_7420.

My own name is Kaito Yusa.

The magic words are NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA!

I hail from the nation of (Water)

My life's story so far: I was born on the same day as my twin sister in a small snowy mountain village. Food supplies had been running low because a Fire Nation blockade was set up downwards of the mountain. This meant a new law was in place at the time forbidding more than one child. The solution? My mother kept us as similar as possible. I grew out my hair. My sister's was cut shorter. Everything was fine for a few years. We dressed ambiguously. I remained fragile in form while my sister (luckily) remained flat. The only difference was that while we were both prodigal waterbenders, she was better. Even this, though, we had to keep secret. We did not want to be out and about working jobs. The era of war was over and the blockade was retracted. Although my mother intended to hide us forever, the secret could only be kept for so long. A neighbor spotted my sibling and I, and a village elder soon found out. As punishment and due to an increasing need for strong working individuals in the village, my mother would have been forced to sacrifice my sister. My sister was to be sacrificed for my sake, and after living an existence so close to hers - after my being her and her being me - there was no way I could stand by and watch her be dropped over a cliff. The night before the sacrificial ritual, I made my decision. I kept her awake at night until she could no more. She was deeply asleep. I trimmed her hair shorter than mine and dressed her in my clothes before carrying her to my room, and overnight, I took her place. I left her a note revealing the truth. before dozing off. I was so tired I didn't wake easily, and when I did, I wasn't alone on the edge of the cliff - my sister was there, too. How? We'd been found out, and we were both about to be exiled from the village. The push. Then we fell. I was headed for a rocky outcropping of a cliff, while my sister was falling into a river. At least she could save herself, I thought. The last thing I heard as we fell was the voice of my sister, crying that she didn't want to be alone. I woke up cold, vision red. I thought I was dead, but I could still hear the running water of the river below. The fall should have killed me, but I didn't. I should have hit the rocks, but I didn't. What happened? I wasn't sure. Not until I closed my eyes... and I was certain I smelled blood. Blood, and another scent. My sister's. Long story short, I now live by myself in a water city, scrounging a living. I've got a gourd on my back, its contents a dark, red secret, not for the faint of heart. I can bend water, ice with more effort, and the dear contents of the gourd.

What am I like? I am very distrustful about authority and supposed justice, but at the same time, I wear a mask of passive obedience. I pretend to be close to those around me, but I remain relatively distant. I feel the need to question the trustworthiness of others. I like my sister, I dislike my village, and I try not to get too attached to others, though I can still feel my sister's presence asking me to move on and leave the past in order to start anew. If in a fight, my waterbending style is defensive.

Damnationsedge
User Image

The hands of destiny are Damnationsedge.

My own name is Shoji Ozuma.

The magic words are NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA.

I hail from the nation of Earth.

My life's story so far: I'm a sandbender from the Si Wong desert. My young life was simple but while the other sandbenders had no interest in involving themselves in the war I always felt differently. If the fire nation invaded then we'd be no safer than the rest of the the earth kingdom so at the age of sixteen I decided to leave for Omashu. For three year it seemed that my worries about the threat of the fire nation were a little pessimistic but then the invasion began and I was forced to retreat north again only to find that the fire nation was already attacking Basingse. Angry over the seeming victory of the fire nation I traveled west into the fire nation colonies and was recruited into a secret army to help the avatar attack the fire nation capital. After the events of the day of black sun I was imprisoned for a matter of weeks until I escaped along with a small group of earth kingdom soldiers and hid away as a fugitive until the end of the war. Recently I've began making my way east back across the earth kingdom unsure where I really belong anymore after wandering for so long, so I plan to just keep wandering.

What am I like? I have to admit I can be cold sometimes especially to citizens of the fire nation but I see no reason to forgive them for what they've done so quickly. Having witnissed the war first hand made me a little vengeful but I try not to let it get to me. People have called me a vigilante but I don't consider that a bad thing, infact I like the title.

The hands of destiny are Sanguine Lupis

My own name is Jonathan Dai Ko

The magic words are NO ZUU-MAY OR ZUU-TARA!

I hail from the nation of Fire

My life's story so far:
Jonathan was born to an average Fire Nation family. He had an older brother, and a younger sister. They lived happily in the town of Ma-Na-Sha, whilst his father and brother became soldiers in the fire nation army. Jonathan was 9 when the war ended, but his father and brother are still stationed somewhere in the Fire Nation.
At the age of 6, Jonathan began learning Fire-Bending from his next-door neighbour Lee Li. The elderly man was quick to recognise the young boys talent, and, when talking to a fire bending Teacher friend, told him of the boy. The teacher met with Jonathan and his mother one day to asses his potential, and left their home with an offer to take up a place in his academy. Jonathan accepted almost immediately, and was soon on his way. Once he arrived, he was thrown into the busy life of training. They had gym sessions daily, and only a fraction of their time was spent fighting. Almost half was studying, and this was the part Jonathan hated most. When it came to the training, he was quite violent, and often over-did things. The only thing that kept him in the academy was his potential. His teacher often had to step in to stop him hurting others. He made little friends in his time there, and wasn't surprised. He wasn't exactly the nicest kid around. After 6 years at the school, his teacher told him he thought it was time to move on. Most students left the acadamy at 13, but Jonathan was different. So, he left the school, and found a second teacher.
Iri Sho was a powerful bender, and resided in a hill-top mansion above a town much like Jonathan's own. Iri Sho taught Jonathan all her skills, her techniques, everything. She recognised his talent and drive, and realised that he deserved to be taught everything. So she did. Jonathan frequently beat his teacher in their training fights, but he lacked self control. So, he set out on a journey around the Fire Nation to find his inner-self. Once he returns to his master, then he will finish his training.

What am I like?
Jonathan is a violent young man, who loves to joke around with people he likes. At first, he is a bit secluded, but after spending time around people, he slowly reveals that he's quite a kind person. He's a bit selfish, but tries not to be.

Palace Servants

They're unobtrusive and stay out of sight, but you'll never have to go looking for one if you need them. They're gossips, but only among themselves. They tend to keep those higher in rank than they are out of their private circle. A servant always knows more than they tell.

Kallan sat at her desk among piles of scrolls and paper covered in writing. She was busy double-checking requests from different parts of the palace. Currently, she was going over the list from the kitchens. Apparently, they were running low on flour and rice, as well as chicken. The head cook also wanted some beef for next week. She signed the list and wrote down some quick notes about it on a separate sheet of paper.

Suddenly, a servant came rushing in. "Miss Kallan, you're needed in the east wing!"

Kallan looked up, irritated. "What is it?" She hated being interrupted when she was deep into her work.

"It's the prince!" The servant looked worried. "He asked for you specifically!"

Kallan put down her pen and stood up, sighing. "Alright then. Lead on."

Prince Zuko was at work going through mostly paperwork on reinstating quite a lot of servants and soldiers who had been banished from his sister's brief, and crazed, rule over the Fire Nation. He was still trying to salvage broken relationships with various kingdoms and townships. He was pulling out his armies strategically, but leaving some behind to help rebuild when they had torn down.

He was technically the Firelord now, and at his ceremony, he had all of the nations represented and able to attend his coronation without fear. He hoped to bring peace after a long reign of war, but he knew this wasn't going to be easy. The fire nation had a horrible reputation after his forefathers had come to power, but he was hoping to change it all.

He'd even spent some time in Ba Sing Se with his Uncle Iroh, but that was only a brief reprieve and time of rest before he had to once again take his place in the fire nation capital to try and rebuild everything that had been lost to the wars, and this included his own people's prejudices as well.

Kallan followed the servant until she reached the east wing. They stopped in front of a pair of ornately gilded double doors flanked by two guards. The servant bowed and said, "He's in there." She nodded absently, wondering what he wanted with her. "It's Firelord Zuko, now. Please don't make the mistake of calling him Prince again, alright?" The servant nodded, looking frightened at the thought of having made a mistake. In the past, such a slip would have called for banishment or execution from previous Firelords. While Kallan knew that nobody needed to worry about that under Firelord Zuko, she knew it would take time before others believed that.

"You may go now. Thank you." The servant bowed once more, then left, leaving her alone in the hall with the two guards. She glanced at them, signalling that she was ready to go in. They pulled open the doors, letting her walk in.

Zuko was at a desk buried among paperwork, just as Kallan had been a few moments before. Aides scurried around with more sheafs of paper, creating an air of chaos and mayhem that only pretended to be organized. Kallan approached the desk and coughed politely.

"Ahem. You wished to see me, my lord?"

Zuko was still getting used to all this madness, but he had it basically under his thought process that everything had to be organized amongst this chaos. He rubbed his temples and didn't even hear Kallan come in until she spoke up.

"Kallan, right..." he said and shuffled through a few things before he said, "Have you heard any word from our troops at Omashu? They were supposed to be helping rebuild the bridge, but as far as I can tell no word has left Omashu in weeks."

He sighed and rubbed his neck as he tried to figure out how this would all play out. King Bumi of Omashu was a member of the White Lotus, and he trusted him because of that, but if his troops there had been ambushed by raiders there was no telling what exactly was going on over there. Raiders had continued to be a problem in the earth kingdom both for the fire nation and for the earth kingdom residents themselves.

Toph ran through the woods. She jumped from rock to rock, just enjoying life. She was supposed to get back to Zuko about the progress of the Omashu bridge situation. She didn't understand why there needed to be such a commotion about a bridge. A small team of Earthbenders could just handle it. It all just confused her, but she decided to at least hurry. The journey wasn't going to be fast, and it would be even slower when she was fooling around.

She came to the ocean that separated her from the Fire Nation. She stopped in her tracks and stood stock still. She dug her heels into the ground and with a few swift movements of her arms and hands, a small pillar of rock emerged from the vast water. She jumped on it and with another few swift movements of her feet this time, the pillar shot out across the ocean. It almost looked like she was skidding across the water at breakneck speeds. She would be at the palace in a matter of hours.

Kallan groaned inwardly. She hadn't finished reading all her reports yet, so didn't know if she'd received word from Omashu. One of the apprentice cooks was with the detachment there as part of his training and sent back weekly reports. Zuko would pick the one thing to ask about that she wasn't absolutely positive on.

Outwardly, she stayed calm, living up to her nickname, the Ice Queen. "I'm afraid not, Lord Zuko. However, I haven't read through all my materials yet. There's a chance that I have a report from one of my men there, but I can't say for certain." She waited as he went through a few more papers, surreptitiously glancing around. Kallan didn't recognize any of the aides, which meant they'd either just been hired, or brought in from elsewhere in the nation. Two of them were headed on a crash course towards each other, engrossed in their respective papers. Smoothly, she stepped over and grabbed their elbows, pulling them up short before they ran into each other and scattered their papers everywhere.

"Please pay more attention in the future," she chided, making the aides turn red. They mumbled apologies and moved away, taking care to watch where they were going.

Kallan turned back to Zuko and bowed. "Please excuse my rudeness, but I didn't think you'd want to deal with flustered aides trying to clean up papers among all this mess." A hint of disgust entered her voice as she surveyed the chaos. Her staff would never be this disorganized. Being a perfectionist, she hated seeing things this crazy.

Toph finally reached land within three hours of her departure from the Earth Kingdom. She simply sank into the ground and surfaced in the Throne Room.
"Sorry I took so long Zuko, but Bumi insisted the report be delivered in person. Crazy old bat." She said.

She rose a seat of earth under her along with a fitting feet rest. She was tired from so much effort put into something that a messanger bird could've done so easily.

"Don't worry about the bridge, the construction is going 'swimmingly'." Toph said, mimicking Bumi's demeanor and gestures.
