This wasn't how it was supposed to work. A scooter was meant to move you along from place to place, not the other way around. Sheldon huffed as he pushed his broken down little Brillo through the dark streets. Thankfully, they all seemed to be flat streets but it was still more work than he would have wanted. True, it was his fault for forgetting to fill up the thing.. but it was still the principle of the matter.
And it was a little too cold for his liking, and a little late in the night. And tomorrow he was going to have a nice day off from everything - school and work, not like he never had them before - and he wanted to get a jump start on doing absolutely nothing with doing absolutely nothing. Maybe a few video games here and there, and Shawn was sure to some over. But that was besides the point.
And to say the least, he was a little bit lost. With his little bike, he had ventured to a new locale for dinner, being a little bit adventurous. The park had been familiar when he passed it there and back. But now, he didn't recognize any of the looming buildings. Not like he was afraid or anything, being lost just delayed you in finding home at a decent hour. Sheldon sighed and grumbled a little.

Sailor Chaonis was in a bad mood.
The world be damned when such was the case.
Maybe it was because he was still hurting from his last fight with a youma. He had very nearly been killed in that subway, and if it weren't for Ares and her mirror jumping skills, he most likely would have been. Of course, he was sure he would have done better if she hadn't have been there, but that was just his pride talking.
She had saved his life, and he wasn't used to owing someone like that. He also wasn't used to getting shot at for being a 'terrorist', or for people yelling in fear of him while he was trying to save them. He had a lot to digest, and to learn, about being a Senshi. It wasn't as fun as he had thought it was going to be, in any case.
Growling, arms folded over his chest in the chill night air, the senshi walked along the shadows, watching the streets but not sure he was too inclined to go out there and help anyone tonight. Why should he?
But then he spotted someone that looked out of place, pushing a scooter down the road, glancing around like they didn't know where they were. He grinned a bit, pulling a trash bag he had torn into a makeshift cloak around him and moving out of the shadows to fall into step a few feet behind the guy.
And he just started to follow him. Just to see what the guy would do, if he would get scared or what.

The duo walked a good block in a half without Sheldon noticing he had a companion at all. The helmet that still adorned his head, along with his hair being locked in place by the helmet, was blocking soft sounds. It took a nice big rustle through the make shift cloak for Sheldon to finally notice something. His wandering gaze pulled from looking around him to looking behind him and his new shadow.
"Are... you following me?" He asked, puzzled by what the other guy was even doing and also just with his attire.
.... oh god, was he like that frilly boy who had beat him up a few weeks ago? A male, in what.. could be a costume, following him at night. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together. Sheldon found himself pushing his scooter a little harder, to make it go faster and cursed himself for not putting gas in the damn thing.

Chaonis was beginning to wonder when this guy was going to turn around and notice he was being stalked. If the senshi had been some kind of crazy murderer, this guy would have been long since dead. Not the most perceptive of all the people Chaonis had met, that much was clear.
Of course, that wasn't a fair assessment, considering the senshi was being particularly quiet, but still.
"Why yes," he said, grinning under his makeshift hood, "yes I am."
It might have been creepy, if Chaonis had kept the charade going. He pulled the bag off, though, eying the guy skeptically. He shook his head, laughing at something he clearly found hilarious, but not so much that he wanted to share it with Sheldon.
Mostly because it was Sheldon that he found so funny.
"Nice ride," he said, sarcasm dripping from his voice, "though, the point is to ride on them. I think you're doing it wrong, dude. You should be more careful, anyway. Never know what kind of crazy folks might be lurking, following, waiting to do something... dangerous."
He grinned again.

Oh, Sheldon should have been killed by random things a hundred times over for various different reasons. But that wasn't the point here, right now.
The civilian teen finally slowed his barely increased pace, really out of confusion, as Chaonis confirmed his suspicions. His eyebrow quirked up at this, as well as when the other teen began to laugh ... and ... something. What?
"They serve their purpose better when they actually have gas in them," Sheldon grumbled again, wanting to kick the bike but refrained since he really didn't want to dent it or something and he was more likely to hurt himself.
Sheldon paused for a moment, glancing at the other guy for a moment now that he had that trash bag off him. It was a little hard to tell what he looked like, since it was a little dark and the lights weren't helpful. A lot of white... and was that.. well something metallic on his forehead. Odd. "Says the guy following people while wearing a trash bag. If you wanted to do something, you should have just done it."

"Nah, I didn't want to do anything. That's the point. If I wanted to, you'd be dead by now. Or in my basement, or the back of my van, or something." He laughed, shaking his head. He had no intention of doing any harm to the guy, instead more interested in his ride.
Jogging up, he tilted his head at the scooter, pointing at it.
"Where did you get that, anyway? Is it any good? I mean, obviously not right now. I mean, you might as well have a foot powered scooter, right?" Essentially, that was what he was stuck with right now, anyway, as far as Chaonis could see. As far as his own ride went, Chaonis only had a car that was not exactly his. He just 'borrowed' Tony's car all the time.
He was glad, at least, that there were no youma running around at the moment. It seemed like every night there was a new one to kill, and people were getting hurt or almost dying. Or actually dying.
Even if he was a slack off, Chaonis didn't like when that happened. He preferred things to be simple, and, at least for the civilians, safe.

"Thats ... reassuring..." Sheldon muttered with an added eye roll. His companion was a nutbar in the eyes of Sheldon, the outfit should have been evident enough [well, unless.. he was one of those people]. Sigh.
At the mentions of his scooter, the green haired boy picked up his head and looked at Chaonis. There seemed to be no hint of mockery in his voice, just honest questions. Wow. "Oh, I got it at a place called Moped Madness, where all the car dealerships are," Sheldon began. "Past all the motorcycles and stuff," he felt he had to add since well... his scooter was not as cool as one of those.
"I think it's pretty good, it doesn't go as fast as some of the other models but hey," he shrugged, "it's what I could get that didn't need me to get a license." That would be work, and Sheldon didn't like work.
And thank goodness for the no youma tonight, he would surely have to agree to that. Granted, Sheldon didn't deal with them as much as his current companion but he was in no mood of being attacked by anything; he was a defenseless civilian after all.

"Moped Madness?" Chaonis echoed, not surprised by the name in the slightest. That sounded exactly like the kind of place who would sell things like this. Undoubtedly. Definitely. He shook his head, though, trying not to laugh. A stupid name and some likely stupid looking scooters had to be forgiven, as it might have something cool and worth his time, as well.
He wondered if he'd look good on a scooter.
"I might not go that far passed the motorcycles, then," he said, grinning, but there was a sense that he was just joking around, rather than trying to be purposefully mean. It was a thin line with him, at the best of times.
Chaonis looked away from the conversation for a moment, the hairs on the back of his neck prickling. He wasn't sure if he had heard something, or sensed it, or if he had just had a cold chill. He frowned thoughtfully, but ignored it as he looked back at the boy.
Was it strange for a senshi to strike up a conversation with a civilian? Probably, but Chaonis wasn't much for rules. Anyway, maybe there was danger around here somewhere.

"Most people would probably wonder why you would," Sheldon smiled, cracking a joke at his own expense. A lot of people - namely two he knew of - thought of his scooter as a little, well, gay.
Sheldon didn't, however, miss Chaonis' moment of distraction and returned frown. He didn't have the insight to sense anything out of the ordinary but he had half the mind to think that something could be up. Given past experiences, something bad was probably out there.
He would pass on asking about it though, it would only jinx their chances. Instead, "wait, is that a tiara on your head or something?" He asked curiously, as they passed directly under a streetlight, finally giving Sheldon a better view of his companion.

Chaonis eyed Sheldon sharply when the other boy asked him about his tiara. Yes. It was a tiara. But Chaonis certainly did not like hearing that word, much less admit to having to wear one. He shook his head, hand instinctively going up to the tiara to tap on it.
"It's a visor," he said dumbly. He should have said headband, or something like that, as the gold band did nothing to protect his eyes from anything at all, and wasn't that the point of a visor? Whatever. Semantics: as long as it wasn't a tiara, he was fine.
He cleared his throat and looked around, frowning.
"Where are you going, anyway? It's probably not a good idea to be walking around right now. Lots of bad things about. You know. I was only kinda kidding before." He wanted to get the kid off the street before a youma came and attacked them. He'd carry the damn scooter if that made it go faster.
At least Chaonis was learning better than to just abandon the guy after getting bored.

It suddenly occurred to Sheldon that he had not checked his surroundings in the small amount of time that he had acquired his guest. He took his eyes off the road, to look for any telling signs of where he might possibly be - landmarks or streets signs - and felt his mouth tug into a smile.
Awesome, he knew where he was now and knew he was close. "Obviously, I'm heading to my after hours job where I headline as the best act you've never seen ~" Clearly he was happy enough to attempt a joke, albeit as lame as they could get.
"Home." He clarified for the other male, "and thankfully without incident. Don't get me started on what goes bump in the night these days." He had had his fill - like, three was enough really - and he couldn't be happier that this whole walk home was the most boring thing ever.

Chaonis frowned at the joke, eying him suspiciously.
He didn't seem to believe the other capable of having such a job, though he knew it was a joke. He grinned, shaking his head. "I think there must be a reason I've never seen it, then, huh? I mean, looking now, it's not much, is it? But hey, if you've got an audience that's in to... whatever you have to offer, go for it."
He nodded his head.
"Home is a better option, I think."
He kept his eyes peeled, looking around to make sure no youma or negaverse agent popped out of no where to attack them. He wanted to get through the night in one piece, but more than that, he would rather like to avoid any civilians getting ripped apart. It would really bring the night down.
"How close is it? Next time you should probably just invest in the foot powered scooter variety."

"Because it would totally blow your mind," why Sheldon was continuing with the lame thread of conversation about a fictitious job he clearly didn't have would be anyone's guess. The cold air? Being tired from actually walking more than five steps? The kind of stuff he smoked all day? Really, anything.
But regardless.
"Home does seem like a nice option," he had been gone far too long and his couch probably missed him. "And is about another block down," he gestured best he could with his head - a helmet didn't help with much nodding. He glanced at Chaonis for a moment, curiosity apparent on his face, "I'm guessing you're going to keep following me all the way there?"
This was going full circle back to creepy, in a way.

"I don't want to follow you to your house. Even less if you even think about inviting me in. But now I have to. If I walked down that street and you kept going down this one, only for you to run into something dangerous, then what would I get to do? Besides be bored."
He shook his head, shrugging indifferently.
"Anyway, I'm walking this way."
That was a lie, but he had to bring his decision away from a feeling of need or duty. Even though that was exactly what it was: he needed to keep Sheldon safe now, because it was his duty. It wasn't very heroic to leave a civilian on the home stretch, and Chaonis found himself increasingly pondering that idea. Heroism. Saving lives, or at the very least trying to.
He just didn't like admitting to it, or feeling obligated by some stupid ethereal concept like fate.

Sheldon's shoulders slumped a little as an irritated look spread across his bored features. It had now officially made its way back to the creepy from earlier. "No," he shook his head, "not inviting you in. You can be assured that much." This was just downright weird having a stalker bodyguard.
"If something was to happen, I figured it would have happened by now." Sheldon sighed, realizing he could see his breathe. Awesome. "Worrying is such a pain...." as was dwelling, anticipating, so many things.
But the dreadful thought of worry slipped from Sheldon's mind as his small building came into view, closer with each step and his smile spread. He turned his head a little to his companion again, "you really can go, you know. I think I can take it from here." He explained, his hand slipping into his pocket for the keys to the parking garage. And really, if Chaonis was a psycho killer [which he was assuming he wasn't by now, not with this need to protect], he very well would't want him to know which building Sheldon lived in.
