Perseus had been patrolling sparsely since the incident at the ball, which was really less patrolling and more walking around thinking about everything that had occurred. It was becoming harder and harder to live the life she was living without questioning it in some way. Nevertheless, she was glad that the woman who had appeared to them in the hall was benevolent and kind as Beryl had been horrifying and dark. Could those in the Negaverse really not see they were being led by fear itself?
Regardless of her thoughts, her eyes narrowed a bit at the presence she sensed. It was not nearly as overwhelming as Beryl, but it wasn't like a Lieutenant either. The only thing she could relate it to was Black Lady, but it felt like a different kind of energy. With natural curiosity and nothing better to do, Perseus crept closer to the source, trying to catch a glimpse of it before ascertaining whether or not it was safe to be in the vicinity. It was probably foolish, but with everything that had happened lately she'd felt a bit more bold. If she needed the help, she could rely on her team now for backup.

It probably was foolish for a senshi to creep so willingly to a malignant source of energy, but thankfully for Perseus' sake, the owner of the source was distracted by other things. General Obsidian was standing motionless in the streets, his head tilted up and his eyes fixed on the lights inside an apartment complex. He could have been planning an attack, or he could have been simply observing. It was hard to say.
Eventually, he would pin his stare on the young woman, green eyes slicing through the darkness as he located the source of the sudden power. A senshi... Not one that he needed to be concerned about, however. Though the man didn't move, his eyes remained fixed on her person, however, and he silently tilted his head as though waiting for her to say something.
Probably some battle cry before she charged in without thinking.

Apparently, she wasn't quiet enough. Perseus always tended to forget that the aura sensing trick went both ways, which was both unfortunate and fortunate depending on the situation. It was a bit strange, that he was just standing in the middle of the street like that, staring. Was something going to happen in that building?
Either way, it was useless to hide now, he was staring at her. Fighting her urge to run, the senshi stepped forward, into the lamplight. Closer, yes, but certainly not close enough to be within arms reach. She would have a fair head start if she needed it. "I suppose that its useless to hide once you've already seen me." There was no way that she was going to instigate this fight. She could be reckless, but she wasn't that reckless. The power signature coming from the man in front of her was unmistakable, and certainly not something she could handle alone. If he decided to attack, Perseus would be retreating.
Still though, she was curious. Equally intense blue eyes stared back into his own, still trying to figure out what he was doing. "Something interesting about this building?"

"True." The man would offer in turn to her statement. Hiding in plain sight--quite literally--did little good for her. She was older than some of the senshi she'd seen, and, at least from first glance, a little more level-headed. Perhaps she knew what was at stake in all of this, compared to the children he'd seen on both sides of whatever war they were waging.
"People." Came his second reply, and his eyes flicked from her back to the building. The people inside, he meant, and that could very easily have been perceived as a potential threat to innocent lives. "They bounce back so easily."
They always did. They pick themselves up they kept moving forward, even after all the destruction that had hit Destiny City as of late. It was an admirable trait.
"How are the senshi coping with the loss of the crystal?" He'd heard. They'd all heard. And he was curious as to how such a blow had affected the seemingly always-optimistic outlook most Senshi seemed to adapt to times of crisis.

"Life moves on, regardless of what has happened in the past." She agreed with him, however, about the resilience of the people of Destiny City. They didn't move, didn't waver, only picked through the rubbled and built anew. The amount of new structures within the city limits was a clear example of this.
He was definitely different than the other Negaverser's that she had met. Even different than serious and tactical Zinkenite. He was calm, practiced, reflective. She had no doubt, then, that he was probably a General. And yet, at the same time he wasn't striking her down simply because she had a more powerful life force than a citizen. She hadn't caught him in the heat of battle with a senshi or human. He was simply standing there, thinking.
"It...it is hard to cope with the loss of something when you don't truly understand what you have missed out on." Perseus herself had been there, seen the crystal slip through her hands on numerous occasions and still she had no idea why. Other than the fact that the Ancient Lady had guided her heart to realize it was important in some way. And even then, it had been the first time she'd seen the Lady, or Beryl for that matter. Perseus had only realized who they were because of their aura's alone. "So just like the people up in that apartment..." She paused, moving her eyes for just a second to the lit interior several stories up. "We move on."
