It was one of those quiet evenings. It was getting cold and she couldn't really blame anyone for wanting to be inside all wrapped up. In fact she had even found a blanket to take out with her today and she was curled up by the corner of an alleyway, her notebook in one hand and a pencil in the other. It was so cold though even the youma didn't seem all that keen on coming out.
She was starting to think it was time to head home. She had a few coins laying around her from where people thought she was just another homeless case and she picked them up. She could put them in a charity box later or something similar. For now she was fighting boredom and the cold.
"Bloody negaverse..." She cursed under her breath. It seemed like all you needed was the cold to scare them off. If she had known that then she would have just stayed at home curled up in bed all evening watching something like gossip girl! She couldn't resist some good old Chuck and Blair... and it was with that thought that she stood up, wrapped the blanket around her and started walking down the street.

Scratch cold; it was downright chilly outside, much to the cat's chagrin. Still, he was scouting the area out for any signs of possible senshi that were wandering about--or even better, Negaverse agents in need of direction. Someone had to educate them on their purpose in this organization, and he had taken it upon himself to do just that.
It was hard to miss the young girl curled up at the mouth of an alley, clearly out of place compared to the normal homeless people that had the misfortune to have no place to go on a night like this. For one, she was quite healthy looking, no signs of starvation or exhaustion. Well-groomed, too, now that he was looking. The cat was still hiding in the shadows of the alley for his own safety, but bright eyes gleamed from the darkness even as he took more mental notes.
Something was off about her. Blame his innate, inner senses, but Grendel wasn't about to get too close should she actually be dangerous. He could sense she was a Senshi--but she was simply asking for trouble, hanging around with her guard down. Still, it was curiosity (damn its tendency for killing cats!) that eventually had him speak. "I can't tell if it's courage or foolishness that keeps you out on a night like this."

Sirius was all ready to get up and walk off but a voice stopped her as she started to move so instead she just turned around, the blanket still wrapped around her. Maybe she should have been cautious talking to an unknown cat but then she was such an animal person she would probably walk into a trap if there was some sort of animal involved.
"Research actually. Goodness knows why but homework must be done. Don't you have a fire you could be curled up in front of?" Sirius was more then happy to talk to a guardian cat, she had met Astraea, ********* and Caine though she had sworn never to mention the meeting with Caine. He was such an unhappy kitty she had wanted to hug him lots and take him home but he wasn't really that kind of cat.
"Have you a name kitty?" Sirius was cold, if it wasn't for the fact that she was cold she would have probably been a lot more polite. Also the fact that ********* had been so chatty and normal had also made her relax somewhat around the cats.

Hmm. This could prove... beneficial for him, should it continue smoothly. Research, she said? "Hm." The cat did not sound impressed, and, after a moment, would reluctantly shift a little closer. He still stayed mostly in the shadows however, less she understand what the black star on his forehead meant. "No. No fires for me tonight." Maybe later, was the unspoken, wistful thought, but he couldn't focus on that right now.
His name? "..Grendel." Came the somewhat cautious reply, though he feigned indifference by beginning to groom one of his paws. "And yours?" He meant her Sailor name, and if she was wise, she wouldn't give out her real one. Not to him, anyway.
That wouldn't end well for anyone attached to this girl.

Sirius was slightly confused, the cat didn't know who she was? ********* had known, as had Astraea. They had both known who she was and her powers it seemed without having to ask and so she was slightly confused for a while. She let it go though, after all she had to he was a cat but then...
"Do you know Caine? He was another cat I met. There are so many of you I can't quite believe it." Sirius hoped she seemed innocent enough in how she spoke. After all she wanted to make sure that if this cat was more like Caine then ********* and Astraea. Still she played along best she could.
"I am Sailor Sirius." There now he knew who she was. She really was a terrible actor though, so she hoped more then anything for the first time ever that her acting would work. After all she could be wrong, maybe he was just a young cat or something? She wasn't sure but she wanted to be.
