(Pretty formating later)

Kyouko yawned and stretched, kneading the ground beneath her paws. She'd had a nice nap. The blue-eyed cub rolled over onto her back, smiling calmly. Something nagged at her, though. Snippets of dreams, especially since her Uncle Duo had returned. She rolled over once again and stood. Perhaps her Auntie Shini would know what the snippets meant.

And how they were connected to Uncle Duo and herself. It was rather annoying, not knowing.

Shinigami was a strange lioness fond of water, and as such was bathing in the slow, flowing river waters contentedly, paddling about to get twigs and grasses off from her latest venture away. She had to keep at it, though. She had to!

Kyouko stalked through the grasses at the shore, smiling widely when she saw her aunt. Then got serious, remembering her lessons from her uncle. Quiet....quiet...then pounce! She yelped when she didn't manage to hit the other lioness though, the juvenile ending up in the water beside Shinigami. Dammit! She grumbled and pouted.

"Hi Kyouko." Shinigami lifted the cub from the water, placing her on the shore before climbing out herself, sopping wet.

"Trying to learn to hunt?" She stretched, and began shaking herself dry.

Kyouko shook her head, not bothering to shake the water from her fur. "No. Came to find you Auntie Shini. I keep remembering little things...about Uncle Duo. And a pretty leopard lady. And little ones like Auntie Kohpi's children. Just littler. LOTS littler." She looked up to Shinigami. "I thought you might know what it meant."

Shinigami looked at Kyouko with a rare expression only reserved for her closest family.

"I've seen them too, Kyouko. Duo left us to have them and then doesn't think family is worth being told things like things about girls. He did a very bad tyhing, abandoning us like that." Shinigasmi looked down, then up.

"That's why I'm going to make it all better."

Kyouko blinked, tilting her head. "A bad thing? But...it didn't feel like a bad thing. In my dreams." She was confused. "And Uncle Duo doesn't do bad things. How are you going to make it all better?"

"Because I won;'t hide anything from my family like he is." She groomed Kyouko's ear lovingly.

Kyouko was still unsure. Uncle Duo would have told them if he knew, right? And...she sometimes knew things others didn't know about their lives. So...maybe? "Don't push him away, Auntie Shini."

"He already pushed us away." Shinigami looked... wounded. Evidently being left out of things had hurt the lioness deeply, her twin's silence about where he'd been leaving an open wound in her heart.

Kyouko sighed, realizing her aunt wasn't going to listen. She was too mad and hurt. "I love you, Auntie Shini." The juvenile leaned against the older lioness, trying to smile up at her.

Shinigami purred and cuddled her neice, smiling.

"I love you too, Kyouko." She smiled, then perked. "Will you want to help when I have the babies?"

Kyouko nodded. "Of course." Someone had to stay with her aunt. Especially if her uncle continued being an oblivious dork. "I'll stay with you, Auntie Shini."

"Thank you, Kyouko. It means a lot." She smiled, and snuggled her neice. Things were looking up.
