This is a topic that some of my staff and I have spoken of in casual chats and something that really needs to be decided upon now. So I wanted input on it.

This isn't to say that there will only ever be one or the other. I just want to learn which of the two you all prefer so that we can make appropriate prizes in contests to come.
We are going to be trying to wrap up the Halloween event and possibly have a mini-event for Thanksgiving (not making a very big thing out of it since we just had a big event and the Christmas/Winter Holiday event is going to be pretty big. Also because Thanksgiving is only really an American holiday)
And then right after the Thanksgiving thing we would have Christmas open up, or maybe even just throw a little Thanksgiving into Christmas and open Christmas up a little early.

Either way, we need to be figuring out the prizes. I know a lot of you will be thinking "I like both!", but this is if you had to choose between the two, which would you rather win?

EDIT - Shaish brought up something else, shiny legendaries. If you are interested in having these, please post your thoughts on them. I am not adding them to the poll because this poll is just about finding out which of these two you prefer as a prize.

Also note that we will have both shinies and legendaries as prizes, this is just deciding which to place as a better prize!

I like the idea of shiny legendaries, some of the shiny versions look nicer than the normal versions, in my opinion. o_o

I like them both equally, not one over the other... "orz
To me it would be nice just to have one or the other, I don't care much

It'd be nice to even have a shiny legendary too

Hoshi it's not one or the other. XD It's just a preference of which should be the bigger prize for events. Like the bigger contests get the bigger prize and the smaller contests get the smaller prize sort of thing. There'll still be both, but the poll is to figure out which people prefer more for as a bigger prize.

in Pokemon wise I prefer shiny over normal anything... But that's not the case right now...

For me it's like choosing one over the other, like saying I like this better'
than this, but that's not it. I'm stuck cause I like both equally & I'd be
equally happy to have a shiny or a legendary or even a shiny legendary
just because it's rare/hard to get. I'm kind of a rare maniac like that D;
I'm like those maniac guys off of pokemon who are obsessed with having
rare pokemon... "orz

Legendaries.
Because there are only a few of them.
Shinies...they are just copied off the real thing and the coloration is altered to look much more cool.
Maybe after all the legendaries, we can be able to win shinies.

Shiny Pokemon kick a** XD

Shiny Legendaries, Regular Shiny Pokemon ect.

Their all awesome x33
So I would lean towards Shiny/Shiny Legendaries all the way!

I honestly am not in favor of shinies. My biggest reason being that we would lose our pokemon's uniqueness. Like say ADD has umbreon which is a pretty popular poke then someone else could have it too, just shiny. I used to really not care about uniqueness in that way but after spending so long developing my characters, namely my sableye, I would HATE if someone had the same one as me.

I would say stick with legendaries.

Hmm. It'd probably have to be then that you could claim a shiny but it'd have to be of a pokemon that isn't already claimed in it's regular form. Like your Sableye for example, they wouldn't be able to claim a shiny Sableye because Sableye itself is already claimed. That way people still have their unique pokemon.

Hmm unless we go with the not being able to claim it because it's already been claimed thing. If we didn't then no one would be able to have a shiny legendary, if they wanted one.

When we do allow shiny's to be claimed it will only be pokemon that have not already be claimed, because it would be unfair to the owners of the original to allow their pokemon to be claimed when this guild generally has the originality that your gijinka is one of a kind.

It seems fairly obvious that Legendary's are the favorite though so we will use them as the bigger prize.
