no, not a big deal, and wont affect her career at all http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/entertainment/music/news/lady-gagas-belfast-trip-14993947.html (edit at bottom)
but gaga at belfast put up the wrong flag (Ireland- had a bad history w/ them), and the crowd was pretty disappointed.
in all honesty, gaga DID make a mistake but she NEVER wanted to insult anyone. she never had any bad intentions... and she was there to perform for them, not to give geography lessons. and for halloween, she even wore a "i love belfast" tshirt to show her love.. on twitter, remeber?
nobody's perfect, but there sure is someone who is close to it- our gaga

I didn't see anything in that article on the flag issue actually. But there was link on the page to a related article about it. I'm not sure what you mean by the wrong flag, but I do like what windrider2 said in the comments of the article: Quote: perhaps Gaga was making a statement that many Irish do not want to hear apparently. That the healing of Irish divisions must be accomplished here and now by the young generation. That in order to be truly free and liberated, one must leave behind the prejudices and hatreds of our parents and grandparents, and even our fellow countrymen. Be sure of one thing. In the Kingdom of Little Monsters, there are NO national boundaries. We are one nation; our population exceeds that of the Netherlands. We are not divided by race, gender, sexual preference, geography, or perceived nationality. We are united in our love for, and support of one of the most talented performing artists to come along in many decades, and in love and support of each other. If Irish Catholics and Protestants want to continue to spill each other's blood, you'll have to do it somewhere other than at the Monster Ball. Honestly, I respect her for trying to connect with the people of Ireland

If this affects her career in any way, I really feel sorry for human society. Oh well, people have to grill somebody for something.
heart Gaga

Honestly, let's work with this from a different perspective.
I'm a Lady Gaga fan as much as anyone here, but to be frank if it were someone else in the same position everyone would be flipping shits and claiming how stupid the person is for putting up a different flag. Gaga is beyond wonderful, but let's not lose ourselves in our fandom and address the issue as unbiased as possible. She posted a different flag which of course depending on one's perspective is disrespectful or even ignorant. I do think Gaga should have done a little more research and put up the correct flag, but in her defense, I would have probably done the same thing because I am a moron. :B

I thought that was a faded Italian flag to be honest. Now that I look at it again.. yeah, it's an Irish flag. Ouch. Gaga didn't know. I heard that a fan gave it to her... rolleyes . Why do people do that? gonk
