The doctors had taken Xavier back and kicked the girls back out into the waiting room for the duration. Tallulah, Lilly, and Bell found themselves relegated to a corner, trying to keep out of the way and sipping weak coffee with too much sweet-n-low. Aurora had confirmed that she was on her way, but she hadn't arrived yet, and Tallulah wasn't keen on wasting any time. She'd snagged a legal pad and a pen from the nurses' station and was scribbling notes down, as fast as she could write.
"We need to write things down while they're still fresh," she declared, already laying out a flow chart of events. "What happened tonight?"
No one spoke. Tallulah glanced at Bell, and was surprised to find that the girl who had been so stone-faced and composed in the car on the way over looked pretty wrecked now.
Of course, she'd been Bellatrix then. Europa could identify.
"Bell," said Tallulah softly, setting her pen down for a moment. "Zay's going to be okay. We need to focus on what happened tonight."

If anyone needed some hard liquor right now, it was Bell. She was twitchy, anxious, and doing good to sit still. Her mind was racing with fifty BAZILLION topics and just- GRAH! "I'll tell you what happened; we all got royally <********> that's what happened." Ummm....strong words coming from a girl who graduated Crystal Academy. "It all started when some chick starts freaken glowing or something, then there was screaming and then there was chaos." She made flourishing, wide, hand movements and gestures as she spoke. "There had to be a good fifty or so Senshi and Negaverse agents at that Ball...." It was a small world. And to think one of those Senshi had been Xavier the whole time....

Lily felt as though she was on over drive, she definitely did not need any caffine. Her ears were cleaned of the blood and her brother had told her with a long face that she wouldn't suffer any lasting damage. That was before they were kicked from Xavier's room. She hoped her brother would be able to keep the suspicions away from them.
Now she frowned at the words be tosses about and the mini-meeting in the hospital ER waiting room. She did not wish to re-live it just now, but sighed and tried to contribute.
"We know both our princess and there queen sought the crystal or crystals?"

-Finding a taxi among the complete and utter chaos had been hell. It took so long that she had for a moment debated simply rehenshining and running the distance. But with so many cops around it was far too dangerous. She urged the cab driver to hurry, to which he had not argued considering the destination. A fifty was left for the driver before Aurora bailed, sliding into the hospital.
Her heart was flutter, uncertain from the message she'd received how many or who of the team had ended up needing care. She almost looked relieved when she spotted so many of her friends in the waiting room, waving her hand as she approached.-
"I'm so sorry I'm late. I had to make sure the group I was looking after made it out" -The last words were spoken lower, even despite their cryptic nature.-
"Do we know how things are...?" -She settled into a chair next to the others.-

"Zay's arm is broken, but he'll be okay," said Tallulah hurriedly. "We're all fine, the nurses cleaned us up and sent us back out." There's been antiseptic for Lilly's ear, and anti-nausea tablets for her, and a general triage for Bell, but they'd all been declared to be in good health. "I don't know anything about the rest of our group, I can ask around-"
She'd seen - and lost track of - several different members of the Basterds during the fight. "We're trying to figure out what happened," she explained, tapping her pen against the notepad and then writing "RED CRYSTAL" in bold letters.
"Do we have any idea of- of who the crystal rightfully belongs to?" she asked quietly. "Is it ours and they stole it, or were we trying to take it from them?" She suspected, or at least hoped the first - the Negaverse was in the field of taking things, while the senshi were in the field of getting things back. It was the natural order of things.
She raised an eyebrow at Bell and nodded. "There were too many people there for it to be a coincidence, especially with the cake being replaced with a Youma," she told the others quietly. "It must have been a setup."
Creating conspiracy theories. Jumping at shadows. All in a day's work for the Basterds.

"We should look in to who helped organize and setup the ball. There is a chance that they might be a part of the Negaverse then. Dirty schemes seem to be their thing. And they seem to be better informed." Of course the Negaverse was! They had their queen. Bell was certain anyone that had a major hand in the ball absolutely must have been involved in the Negaverse. At least...if it truly had been a trap. However, it seemed the Negaverse the the time when the crystal appeared, had been just as confused. "Either way, both the Negaverse and we seem to have a common goal - obtaining the crystal...possible crystals."

Lily was frowning as her brained tried to maul over and run through the fact. The whole event seemed suspious, but aside from the halloween ball everything about the week seemed normal, fun, and completely problem free. Lily wasn't sure, but she did not think it a trap or a conspiracy.
"Yes, it seems that we have a common goal, but I don't think it was a trap. It was total chaos and yes it was obvious the no one knew what was going on. It was much to the effect to the aliens," she said looking to each of her teammates, "or the city's coma. The only real difference this time seems to be the knowing parties. Our princess and there queen."
Lily sat back looking around and hoping what she said made sense. Yes, it seemed crazy, but when there were large gatherings it seemed chaos was just bound to follow.
"Same with cake, because I've seen stranger things become youma. We were throwing magic everywhere, there queen super powered the youma and the crystal managed to fall into it."
A light clicked on in her head, Yes do not forget to write that down. She waved her, er thing, and suddenly they were even more visious and stronger."

-Aurora shuffled into a seat, trying to think of something helpful to add to the conversation. Unfortunately it was not much.- "Well a girl was wearing the crystal as part of her costume. I don't know where she got it, but the way she was suddenly zapped.... I wouldn't put it past the negaverse to have caused the attack I saw hit her."
"It does seem very strange that both queens would show up if it weren't a setup... But there is noway they'd work together." -No way the moon princess would willing set up something that caused so much pain to so many.-
"I say we just try everything to get it back. There is only so much we can guess about without having the crystal or speaking to someone who knows something about it. Did anyone see who actually got it in the end?"

Europa nodded. She'd been at the base of the cake when it happened, and although she didn't know the name of the person she'd seen find the crystal, she recalled his appearance clear as day. "The little captain," she said. "He had blue hair, and was wearing blue - blue eyes, too."
Everything about the guy had been basically blue, da ba dee da ba die. Blue hair certainly wasn't a good place to start when looking for Negaversers - she knew plenty who fit the description - "His uniform was a long coat," she recalled after a bit more thought. "With lots of straps and buttons, and bright blue trim."
She curled one of her knees up to her chest and hugged her arms around her bent leg, deep in thought. "He was really short," she emphasized, thus exhausting her descriptive capabilities.
She scribbled a few notes about Lily's recollection, then looked over at Bell and asked, "What makes you say crystals? Why plural?" She tried to recall what had implied the potential multiplicity, but then Europa had missed the first part of the battle and she could never make up for it.
"And," she added, "We should probably decide when our next meeting will be." Because the four of them didn't count - they were missing half the team!

"This weekend, perhaps? If you're parents aren't cool with it, I recently moved into my new apartment, it's open to all Basterd needs." It was, after all, a large and vastly empty apartment.
The weekend sounded good, anyway. Bell tried to keep in mind that some of them still were in school. Bell didn't know about work. Well, if at least most of them got there, what more could they ask for?

"The little blue haired captain, huh? It sounds like, we be needing to find out a name," said Lily softly, ready and will to take on the assignment. It would be important to find the captain, if they were going to get the crystal back. Yes, Lily was all for it.
Lily nodded when Bell suggested the weekend, even going as far as offering up her apartment. She grinned and nodded, "I agree this weekend would be best. How about Sunday?"
She was happy to see their mini meeting was going well, but it was true they were missing half the team and she wasn't even sure if any other members of the team had been at the ball. Suddenly, however, her face fell.
"Uh, could we possibly have the meeting at my house this time. Eventually, what happened is going to get out and my parents are going to freak. I will mostly likely be on super watch, no patroling for me this week. They have been really paranoid and with good reason. Good thing my brother has been helping me sneak out at night."

-Polaris filed away the information carefully, making a mental image that probably didn't look anything like the actual culprit. Very short, male, blue hair and blue outfit. She wondered if there was a way to try and lure out the negaverse.. instead of simply running into them by chance. It seemed the negaverse had gotten darn good at luring the senshi out whenever they wanted.
She kept her thoughts to herself for the moment, but nodded softly when the ideas on the meeting place were thrown out.- "Anytime over the weekend is fine, just try to let me know when and where by Friday so I can move around things if I need to."

"Lily's house, then," said Tallulah with a nod. Her bedroom was cramped as it was, and if they added Themis to the team like she was planning to, they'd be back up to nine and a cat. The first time they'd had a meeting there, there'd been people sitting on every available bit of floor, on the bed, and on chairs stolen from the dining room. It was just too small.
She quickly thought over her weekend plans, her regular rounds of volunteering and plans for homework, and announced "Saturday evening, if everyone can make it."
"Bell," she added, "We'll go to your apartment for another meeting, but if Lily's going to be grounded we'd better go to her." It was only fair.
At this point, they were interrupted by Xavier's father.
"Let's go see him," said Tallulah, motioning for the others to follow her.
((Okay, I think we're done here and transitioned into Welcome to the Team!))
