The park was a pretty normal place for her to patrol, but Perseus hadn't tried to patrol the little park that was connected to the lower level schools before. It was a quaint place, with a multi-level jungle gym, swing sets and a multitude of the little racing springs shaped like strange animals (she particularly liked the bear and turtle steeds).

However, something caught her eye, something that didn't quite belong. As soon as she turned to get a better look at it, it skittered off out of her vision and into the shadows. Perseus narrowed her eyes and jumped the gates around the park, moving in slowly towards where she had seen whatever it was disappear.

It didn't take her long to find the youma, hiding near the bridge of the play set. It had woven a black web there, and several other webs that she could see as well. It was...kind've grotesque. It was about half the size of her body; a spider monkey with 8 hairy spider legs and a tail. It looked like a mad zoologist experiment gone very, very wrong. Perseus recoiled a bit, wondering whether or not she should engage the youma or leave it alone.

It wouldn't do any good for it to be trapping small children though, so she figured it was probably a must. Perseus crept closer, intend on making a sneak attack.

Perseus jumped a little, having not noticed the little girl before with her attention so focused on the youma in question. It seemed to skitter wherever a web was pulled, meaning that it might be best to stage an attack up higher, away from the main web. She'd been wondering if they were sticky when she got interrupted.

"Oh!" There was something strange about this one. She was dressed incredibly fancy for a little girl, almost something straight out of a Tokyo catalogue. "You shouldn't be out here this late." It didn't click with the sailor that this was another, albeit littler, senshi. So focused on the negative energy, Perseus couldn't recognize the energy of the chibi sailor either. She sighed, now having to watch out for another person.

"Try and stay away from the webs and out of trouble, alright? I'm going to go draw its attention upwards a little." With a faint click, Perseus jumped up on top of the slide, making her way towards a little web nest at the top of the jungle gym.

It didn't take her long to reach the lookout web at the top of the playground. The chunky, brightly colored plastic was easy enough to maneuver, even in the semi darkness. Once at the top, she tried to get a solid footing. The plastic, however, was more slippery than she wanted it to be...maybe this hadn't been such a good idea? Just as she was thinking of coming down a level or two, however, her cape blew in the wind and caught a black shimmering thread, tugging it before she could stop.

The spider youma scurried up to her position, making strange monkey clicking noises. Well if that wasn't just lovely. Dropping to her knees, she managed to avoid a gob of web shot at her. Perseus reached forward and grabbed a hold of one of its disgustingly hair legs. It jerked, tumbling to the ground below, but now before managing to knock herself off balance too.

The next sensation Perseus felt was falling. The playground wasn't high enough to kill her, but she also didn't feel like breaking a leg either. Squeezing her bright blue eyes shut, the senshi braced for impact and hoped she'd still be able to fight by the end of it.

The hard impact never came. Instead, she landed on something soft and... brown? What? Perseus opened her clenched eyes, surveying her surroundings. To her surprise, the senshi found a teddy bear underneath her. "Wha....what?" Blue eyes looked around in shock before landing on the small girl she'd seen before.

SHE was a senshi? How was that even possible? She was so young, so innocent looking...and the fact that she had been thrown into the middle of this bloody war made Perseus sick to her stomach. Did she even know what was going on? It didn't take her long to see the spider youma, nursing several of its legs which looked broken.

Perseus dropped into a fighting stance before stepping forward with a kick. It landed with a solid crunching blow to the shoulder, and the youma melted into ash. "Are you alright?" The senshi rounded on the younger girl, taking in her costume. "Thank you for your help. I'm Perseus, who are you?"

"Pleased to meet you... and thank you. I like your bear too" The senshi nodded and smiled at the little girl before her before sitting on the edge of the nearest play structure. While the fall had been significantly more pleasant, it had still knocked the wind out of her.

"How..." She started, but was unsure if she should ask or not. "How old are you Hugbell?" Hopefully she wasn't offending by asking, but Perseus had to know. What cat in their right mind would awaken a senshi before they were old enough to deal with everything? Even she had a hard time, and she was a well adjusted adult.

"I'm sure you'll come up with a great name." Perseus gave a soft smile, but couldn't help but feel her heart sink the more she looked at Hugbell. It was obvious that she was innocent of everything negative in this world, and it was not too long before grotesque imaginations of a negaverser beating on the Chibi Senshi.

Her light blue eyes closed briefly when she heard the word 'nine' come out of her mouth. Nine... not nearly old enough to be thrust into a war. "Nines a good age to be. Say, do you know the name of the kitty that awakened you Hugbell?" Perseus would find that cat and give it a VERY stern talking to someday, or at the very least find out the reason she was awakened so early.

"********* awakened me too." Perseus sighed softly, looking at the butter yellow eyes of the nine year old sailor soldier in front of her. "Did ********* tell you what we are doing here? As Sailors I mean; did she explain to you whats going on?"

She couldn't imagine ********* would be that irresponsible to not do so, but she had to make sure. Perseus couldn't let this precious little girl go without making sure that she knew it was dangerous out there. The older senshi felt the same need to protect her as she did the innocent civilians that they fought for.

The girl hadn't had much interaction with small children, being an only child herself. Perseus wondered if a nine year old could understand war, pain, and evil. She found herself hoping yes and no at the same time.

"Yes, you're right, they are peoples souls. You have one too, to protect, but yours is different because you're a senshi." Perseus nodded at Polaris's recommendation. She'd never met the other senshi, but it was good that she was telling her these things. "Polaris is right, its very, very dangerous. But you made a smart choice in not telling your Mother- telling people who you are can be dangerous too."

Perseus concentrated momentarily and pulled her cellphone out of her subspace pocket. "Do you have a cellphone, Hugbell?" Hopefully she did, because the older senshi was intent on making sure she at least had the option of contacting her for help. If she found ********* later she would give the cat a talking to about leaving the little senshi with less information than what was needed and then leaving her alone.
