Some of you may know that I'm making corsets for my masters degree in contemporary arts. The focal point of my work is the marks left on skin after the corset is removed.
There's a huuuge concept behind it, but I won't go into it unless you want me to.
Aaaanyway, I'd love it if people on here could take two photos for me; one of them wearing their corset, and one of the skin underneath after they remove it. You don't have to be naked or anything, this really isn't a sleazefest! xD

If I could have a name (pseudonyms are fine) and a short paragraph about your ideas about marks on your skin as well, it would be fantastic.
I was also going to add links to the UTAS SVPA wiki so you could see official stuff on there, but apparently that's students and staff only, so it's not really gonna help. xD

I haven't found anyone outside RL friends who are willing. xD
But yes, I have six months left on my masters. I was so excited a couple of weeks ago whenI found marked skin printed in the inside cover of a lingerie book.
I have found one artist that deals with skin marks, but he approaches it from a consequence point of view.

I was actually excited when I read this because I find the marks really annoying. It's incredibly not sexy lol. It also gets in the way of modeling work. Every once in a while I used to pose for an artist, after wearing my corset all those lines show up for a while and that makes the artist unhappy because they are so prominent.
Is there a certain amount of time I should wear my corset before taking it off and taking a picture or any other rules I should fallow? I don't want to flaw your study.

It's not reeeally a study, just a look into your opinion of the marks.
Personally, I'm growing to love them (though I still dislike underwire marks when I take off my bra!) - purely because they look like scars, and can enter the realm of scarification and the growing prominence of that in the BM community: the concept of a permanent physical change (a scar) being emphemeral.
It was so hard to find an angle of corsetry that hadn't been analysed (and over-analysed) by other artists.
By the end of January I plan to have another four corsets complete. biggrin

Ooooh, what a neat idea!
I don't own a corset (yet), otherwise I'd love to participate ^^
I'd love to see the finished product, and all the corsets you make!
Edit, a month later:
I own 2 corsets now! Do you still need photos?
And I'm still dying to see the corsets you make!!

I ended up leaving my master's six weeks before the end. I'd had a really rough sememster (health and family problems) and just couldn't finish. ;___;

I'd show photos of me modelling them, but the majority of the photos are verging on nude and thusly unsuitable for Gaia. >_>;;
