Ahh friday nights. Toby flumped down against his makeshift bed, as tired as ever, simply listening to the blaring traffic outside through his open window. He SHOULD be doing something, gathering star seeds like a good agent, or heading out but he was just too exhausted. Every bone in him creaked like an old man, and protested against every sort of movement.

And he was rather surprised when he leaned back to stretch and felt something rather firm and non-pillow like. Curiously, he pulled out a rather neglected laptop, his prize and joy from three months ago when he had managed to 'permanently borrow' it from a rather negligent man on the subway. You know what they said about finders keepers after all.

With a small smile, he cracked it open, surprised to see that it still booted and that indeed the borrowed wireless signal was still working. Oh the joy of small favours! He spent half an hour shuffling through his programs and rather cluttered desktops before spotting an old friend: a small icon with an emblazoned W on the front. It looked like the original owner of the credit card STILL had not called their card in as the game welcomed him and his account. With a double click, he shuffled in the game, looked around and decided on his options.

Being a dude and all, he decided what better way than to spend his evening online smiting other pixelated players. Tonight was definately one of those nights. He shuffled his character around, looking for a good place to set up a kill.

He hated nights like these. Too many people were out and about in either cars or walking the streets. And even then, there were still too many people online. Alexander glared at the screen, his online persona shifting his wait in irritation. Ugh. Too cold to go anywhere, too broke to buy anything, no friends nearby to serve as an excuse to get out of the house. That left being online with Everyone Else. From n00bs to trolls to h4xx0rz, he didn't know who he was playing with or against. All that mattered to him was whether or not he came out on top.

Besides, what was that character doing over there? Alexander's character dropped into stealth mode and became to creep towards Toby's stolen character, stopping within some polygon bushes. Didn't that a*****e over there owe him some in-game money?!

Alexander moved his character back, quickly typing in the commands to prepare for combat.

He managed to type them in too quickly, however, as his character whipped out a throwing dagger and chucked it right at Toby! "Damnit!" Alex growled, making his toon run out of the foliage to rush at his opponent.

He was too busy trying to adjust the air-conditioning fan, which was for some reason now emitting a strange spluttering noise, that Toby's poor pixelated character took a dagger right to the face. Thankfully due to years of practiced rooftop jumping and senshi avoiding, with killer reflexes, he was on his keyboard like a fiend, hitting a single key, before spamming the keybinds. The look on his face was that of pure concentration as he deftly tried to both get range on his opponent and swear at them through the keyboard at the same time for the 'cheap shot'

THE HELL WAS THAT?

Toby's eyes narrowed in indignation. Freaking rogues and their stupid sapping abilities getting the better of him! He sent off a few more curses at the keyboard before attempting 'sic his pet on them, hopefully keeping them busy for a while.
