I know we have here a thread to vent and other serious topics, but I decided to venture to a new paths. Now, think of your day or recent week. What were the moments that made you smile, giggle or even burst to laughter? I can give you an example. If you have noticed from some of my posts, I have a kitten these days. Today, like the days before she came to sleep on my lap when I was at the computer. Now, that is not uncommon of course, but she really was in deep sleep and even though I lifted her paw or tail, she didn't react and kept sleeping. That shows an deep trust to you and it really made me smile and feel happy inside. That little creature has within few weeks grown to trust me so well, that she can sleep without a worry in my lap. heart Now, do you have similar story? What does really make you happy or feel joy? Is it the favorite TV show after long day, the springs first flower or an email/letter/postcard from a faraway friend? It doesn't have to be a extraordinary happening. If you feel super happy because you've just washed all the dishes then that's awesome! Really... it is, since washing dishes isn't the most glamorous job in the world. xd I hope we can share our moments of joy and awesomeness and who knows maybe your story will bring a smile to a fellow AGAn.

To add to the moments of awesome today, when I made this topic, I got a rare event called Fat Cat alert! xd I hope this is not a sign for my kittens future. I know she likes to eat but she's a growing kitten so they tend to burn lots of food.
But what I'm after here with this topic, and why it's here at the serious section, is to hear comments on what does make you go "yay" inside.

I like it when is rains - thunderstorms especially. There is just something so relaxing about the pattering white noise of the droplets upon the roof; the subdued and gloomy greyness of the world where everything is lush, moist, and brought into fantastic sharpness of definition; the crack of thunder and the dancing glow of lightning; to go outside and breathe in the fresh, moist air and feel the rain on skin. I feel at ease and yet energized. To curl up with a book or write or draw and have it flow with that same energy too is just icing on the cake.

I can totally relate with this. 3nodding Especially if it rains during the night or evening. I never have any troubles with falling asleep when it's raining. It's so calming. Also the roar of a thunderstorm is one of the best music nature can give. When talking about nature what makes me happy, one thing is also winter. There's just something magical here in the countryside when everything is covered in white snow and the air is crisp and cold. Everything is quiet and only thing you can hear is the squeaking of your shoes, your breathing and occasionally a crow croaking.

I had a little happy moment today again. I was outside raking some leafs when suddenly it started snowing slowly. I love the sound of the first snow falling to the ground. It makes this little rustling noise as the little flecks of white snow falls down and touches the ground. Also the air "smells" of snow. It's bit different from the rain but you can feel it when you are outside that we might get snow today. whee

OK my thing is not so poetic...today i helped my mom to get a new washing machine! We had one that was a gift and was 20 years old. When we disconnected its tubes, it started smelling really bad. The door fell off... we decided to buy a new one and luckily my father said yes and today in the morning we picked a great one! And then they brought it here and i was alone with my younger sister and i was really afraid something will go wrong when they install it, but it was totally ok, and when i had some questions the help line was so nice, it was so great. We..are..going...to...be...clean!

Lainauriel that sounds awesome! My parents also always wear out their appliances to the breaking point. Of course there's no need to buy new stuff if the old one isn't broken, but when electric appliances start to be around 20 years old they tend to be a serious safety hazards when they do broke down. sweatdrop
I had a great day too. I made a snow lantern today because it was so great weather out side. I'm not sure if the lantern word is correct in here but I basically piled up bunch of small snow balls together and put a candle in the middle of it. It's pretty when it's dark outside. heart

My son gave me my 'warm fuzzy' today. He was playing around and started playing rough and pulled my hair. (He's 4 so I wasn't freaked or anything) but he stopped and tears welled up. "Oh, mommy, I hurt you! Can I kisses to heal your heart?" THAT made my day!
(That and the way he snuggled up after... awww) heart 3nodding heart

Aww, that so nice Ju Tru Nix! heart
My boyfriends parents visited us today and they brought us a Christmas tree as a Christmas present! We've agreed that since we all are now grown-ups we don't buy presents to each other but this unexpected present really made my day and my Christmas! 3nodding They also brought lights to the tree and I really like the simplicity of it even though it doesn't have anything other decorations. Oh and the smell of fresh spruce is amazing. It really made it feel like Christmas. heart

Today when I woke up I noticed that both my cats were sleeping in the bed with us. The new kitten has been bit timid since she's been here only for a week but slowly she is getting more confident and my older kitten isn't harassing her so much. whee

Finland won the ice hockey world championships! It alone is great but seeing strangers getting together, hugging and singing and celebrating together really warms my heart! This victory was much needed after the tiring elections we had this spring that almost has tore the country in political "pieces" and sections.

Funny how sports can get so many people together like that. I guess it's having something in common even if they'd never cross paths otherwise. I'm happy today because my mom is returning tonight from her three week trip to Morocco and Tunisia. It was a little worrying with all the unrest that's going on over there currently. But she had a wonderful trip and managed to stay safe!

Glad to hear your mom was able to stay safe at her trip.
Yesterday I had a little moment of pure win, when I noticed that the strawberries I grow in my garden are ripening and I even got a taste one. Oh, those strawberries are so tasty and yummy! heart
