She needed to get stronger, not only for her team and the negaverse... but for herself as well. She would not be an asset to the negaverse being killed, or stuck in the hospital. Granted it probably was not the smartest idea calling and asking if two captains would help train her, but how was she to learn and grow if the ones she sparred with were on the same level of power? She chose to take initiative and show she WANTED to better herself.
The location was chosen for its remoteness and its size. It was a gated park where during the night, the gates were closed and no one was allowed in till morning. Tree's were scattered around inside the park, and their was a large grassy field in the middle of all the pathways. See normally a 12 foot brick wall was enough to stop the average human from entering... but it was only a small leap for a negaverser to scale the walls. Leaping over the fence while no one was looking, she landed with a hard thump to the grassy interior. If she remembered correctly, Zink told them all to meet at the edge of the grassy fields... so she made her way there. She chose to be in her garb for now. Being dark out, she felt the pull of power from within as Fayalite summoned her weapon. She walked towards the center... the light from within the lantern bobbing in the dark.

Zink crouched low, he'd folded the edges of his coat to look as sharp as he could as he crouched there too to stay hidden, his mask up and his head ducked, he hoped... enough to conceal him at least slightly until she turned that lantern full on him.
He meant to take her by some surprise even if he knew they could feel Senshi coming. They could not, after all... feel cops, and they were no less important and depending on the Senshi, at least as dangerous if not more so.
Her lantern swung and bobbed as she moved, she was confidant, she had at least some idea what she was doing, and that pleased him.

She knew for a fact that the lantern would point her out like a sore thumb, she also knew if she blew out the lantern her eyes would adjust to the night... but for now the comfort of having the weapon was there.
She was suddenly curious, wondering if she was early...or perhaps late. Fayalite saw nothing ahead of her, then again their was always places to hide in the night. SHe was suddenly alert, she forgot to take into thought if their were patrols around here at night. Not that they wouldnt be easy to take out, but EVERYONE knew killing a cop was NO good. The whole city would be after them. She continued on, almost until she was 5 feet away from Zink.

He stood as quietly as he could and moved trying to sweep around behind her, in one hand he pulled out one of his smoke pellets and loaded it into his sling shot. He would fire it over her shoulder to make it seem as though is attack would be from the front before 'attacking' from behind just to see how she reacted.

Ok so, Faya should have expected this. Why the hell would Zink and Schee be waiting in the area before the sparring? Hell no, this place was a war zone already and she was stupid to set herself as a target. Then again, She DID want that experience.
The thought process happened in the split second after the smoke bomb exploded before her. A second later, she took the lantern off the end of the pole and held the paper object in one hand... and the pole in the other. She had not seen what direction the pellet came from, but knowing zink he was trying to throw her off. She chose to keep the Latern lit for now, it gave away her position but as she choked on the smoke... at least she could semi see. Her eyes darted around with her arms at the read to hit something with either object in her hands.

He yanked up the goggles and crouched low, he was no football player but he at least knew to take someone out 'low'... he also knew from unfortunate experience not to take out anyone with more mass than you at the knees, you get sat on.
He darted forward low and aiming for her lower back or waist if she turned, hopefully the worst damage he'd suffer would be a pole across the shoulders rather than his head but he knew the risk when he charged

Boy did he nail her all right. She was semi lost in the mist... light or no light. She was looking around possible on too much high alert, she was expecting something to be flung at her from zinks height.
Should known the little b*****d would have nailed her from below. He hit her on her legs, causing her to topple over... but while falling she made a note to attempt to twist around and nail her assailant with her pole.

The poll cracked sharply across his shoulders and it was everything he had not to make an embarrassing 'yelp'. It came out instead as a stifled grunt and he knew very well that it would at least be a painful welt if not a lasting bruise.
He let the momentum carry them to the ground and skid through the grass, trying to quickly shift and pin her down as much as he could. Her long range weapon would be less useful in close combat...too bulky. Let her figure out uses for its component parts...

She made contact with Zink, recognizing his voice from the grunt. She wasnt sure if schee was here yet, but then again if he was she had a feeling she would have a face full of guitar right now, and not have been tackled.
Fayalite too grunted from the impact, hitting the earth hard on the small of her back before they went skidding... oh yeah she was going to have some carpet burn later. She felt him shift and, knowing from experience being knocked over, she had a feeling he was either going to punch or pin her down... With a free leg, she attempted to kick Zink as best she could from her position. Also, on a hunch... using the hook on her pole (where the lantern dangled normally) She tried to hook her arm and pull it loose.

her attempt to kick him ended up drilling a rather painful knee into his a**, but fortunately no worse. He shifted his own feet to try and stomp down on her poll while planting his butt squarely on her ribs, better than than her stomach he figured, then again he might end up with a knee in the back who knew.

"...You know Captain, i make a rather boney chair." She said grumbling that she was currently being pinned down by being SAT on, and her pole was currently pinned under his boot. Tugging for it didnt work... so instead she thought about her other arm, which... was still free and clasping the lantern part of her weapon.
Carefully, she dug out the candle that stayed within it... and placed it on the far back of zinks coat. Oh, she was no pyro... but this was a spar and she wasn't about to hold back.

He jerked and his eyes widened behind those blue lenses to see the flames catch the edge of his coat and he quickly folded the coat over on itself to try and put them out before he was flame broiled in his own uniform.
"Very good Lieutenant! Keep that in mind... use your hook on their ribbons as well...or Scheelite's collar." he chuckled his eyes glancing for a moment towards where he had last Seen Scheelite, who was supposed to still be here, but who knew if he'd grown bored and departed.

"You know Zink, you really aren't supposed to go and tell people how to -beat- me. Cmon man, we're PARTNERS! That's messed up!"
He -had- been there the entire time, and by some miracle he had managed to stay quiet during the beginning of this little sparring mission. Though Zink was probably getting used to the new behavior of his partner, it was something Faya hadn't been exposed to quite yet.
"Anyways, I know what you're probably thinking Zink and yes I AM bored. Cmooon, do something interesting, sheesh."
The captain strolled forward, hands in his pockets to give off the full illusion of one bored teenager. He might have -looked- off-guard, but he was anything but.
Now he just had to see if someone took the bait.

"Well Partners, do not sit on the sidelines the whole time." He quipped back. "Besides... she needs to practice on -someone- would you prefer she hooked my Belt? Seems a bit more perverted than your collar if you ask me." His eyes glittered and he rolled off the young captain and into a three point crouch watching and waiting to see the next move.
"Well Scheelite? Let's see how she dodges."

"Personally, ide rather not get involved in both of your 'kinks'- belts or collars." She mumbled, looking back and forth between the two.
As Zinkenite rolled off her, releasing her body and weapon, she couldnt help but react. HE attacked her while she was off guard... so she attempted to send a kick with a booted foot in his direction. The second she did, Fayalite screambled to her feet and backed away from the duo. Her flame in her lantern was now out, so all she had was the pole and the...paper lantern.
