Such a beautiful knight, Val thought quietly to herself staring up at the night sky. With the sky free of clouds, the moon shone brightly surrounded by the colony of stars. The air cool, the wind brought along the scent of rain. What a peaceful night it would have been- if it wasn't for the group of skanks that surrounded her.
"Let's hurry this up, shall we?" She said, with a toss of her hair. "Unlike you, I dont have the time to be wasting on such trivi—"
A indignant, high-pitched voice cut through the air, "You don't have the time?" A girl shrieked, with her arms crossed over her chest. She was backed up by a pair of girls, both with angry expressions. All three of them glared at her, causing her to wonder if she had done something wrong. "You had the time to flirt with my boyfriend!" She accused, grabbing Varete by the collar.
Her voice a drawl, "Oh, is that what it was?" She said, in a bored tone, with a vague memory of some man at the bar last night.
"Who do you think are you are?!"
"Someone who doesn't give a damn, obviously." She scoffed, wrapping a hand around the other girl's. Lightly squeezing it, she saw the other girl's eye budge as her knuckles crushed together. The other two girls stood behind her with a baffled expression, wondering why their "leader" had gone strangely silent. With a little cry, she drew her hand away almost instantaneously. Screaming as if it was the end of the world, "Y-you broke my hand!" She gasped.
A cruel smite lit up Varete's expression as her outfit faded away to reveal the negaverse lieutenant beneath, "Serves you right." She murmured, with a laugh.
"Foolish girl! ★ If you're going to bully someone, at least do it right."
In a matter of a few minutes, three bodies laid limp on the ground around her. "And that's how it's done y'all!" She declared with a smug grin.

Sailor Algol was on a mission. She was going to, all by herself, tame her own sort of minion, without the help of anyone. Granted, technically her and Emily took care of a Cat Thing, but it was a cat, and therefore really not that special; the novelty of having a talking cat around could only be spread so thin. This particular night, she was ALL determination, and possibly slightly cold.
Did she mention she was also lost? Originally the senshi had started on a straight, linear non-veering path, but this unfortunately was thwarted by a rather large building. She then decided the next best thing of course, was to walk perpendicular to it, in an equally straight line. Five perpendicular turns later, and she didn't recognise these streets at all.
Well no matter, she was sure monsters did not discriminate when it came to directions! Not to mention that Destiny City seemed to always abide by the if you wait long enough it will come sort of attitude.
And that is how Sailor Algol passed Varete, with a deliberate expression to her face, stride long and purposeful. And by past, that meant RIGHT past, without even giving a care about the crowd that was once there, the bodies on the ground, anything. She was past the other and in a steady, purposeful pace, pausing only when she realised with a slow dawning horror that the intersection was not perpendicular at all.

Tucking the starseeds in her pocket, Val noted the familiar figure of a senshi walking past.
Hand resting on her hip, her pose was deceptively relaxed and lazy. The clenching of her hands, prepared to summon her rod, was barely perceptible. Posed for battle, she waited for the senshi to yell out some sort of lame phrase about love, justice or another.
But instead, she walked right by lieutenant, her mind obviously on other matters.
Obviously baffled by the senshi's lack of action, she stood there in quiet observation. There was an awkward silence as the girl halted to a stop in the middle of the street. "..." Val was tempted to say something or other, but nothing really came to mind. There were only a few words to describe this situation.
A few of which include; wow, ********, fantastic.
Needless to say, she didn't say any of the above outloud. ".. Do you need some help there?" She said, instead.

Due to Sailor Algol aka: Mindy's lack of actual street manners it didn't occur to her as odd at all at the random offer for help. Things like that happened to her all the time after all.
"Yes," she began, eyeing the 45-degree angled street corner angrily. "This street isn't perpendicular. Can you direct me to a street that is?"
Oh wait, nevermind, there was a perfectly innocent ninety-degree alleyway she hadn't even noticed until now. Excellent, she would just take that path and be on her way then. "Oh nevermind, I'm done here, you are dismissed."
True fact one: Sailor Algol had never met a Negaverse Lieutenant True fact two: Sailor Algol was standing in the middle of an alleyway with a Negaverse Lieutenant True fact three: The alleyway was actually a dead end.

"Ah, I see." She replied politely, stepping out of the girl's way.
Though she didn't particularly get on well with senshi, she felt overwhelming pity need to help the poor girl out. "I wouldn't head in that direction, if I were you.." She suggested in a helpful tone but her words fell on deaf ears.
Despite her dismissive words, Val was pretty sure that the street led to a dead end. If she continued on, she would certain to walk into that wall over there.
Which would have been pretty funny actually. Though it felt vaguely like deja vu. Now now, where had she seen this before..? The feeling nagged at her. With a snap of her fingers, she remembered where she had seen such a scene before. Oh right, Harry Potter!
Which, unfortunately, was fiction. People couldn't really walk through walls.. Right?

It wasn't as if Sailor Algol thought she was Harry Potter or anything really, but rather, that it was really really dark: an alleyway, being an alleyway and all, not having the brigher street lamps she was used to.
Thunk went the senshi of ghosts as she literally collided with the wall. Rubbing her head, stars in her vision, she stared at the collosal barrier and narrowed her eyes at the other straggler just standing there. "You- why didn't you tell me there was a WALL here." It was now that she actually took a good look at the other. Well, they were dressed kind of funny, were they another sort senshi like the zodiacs? "What sort of senshi are you anyway?"
It also occured to her with a growing irritation that their hat was a little lopsided.

Me? Eyebrow raised in a skeptical manner, she could hardly believe that she was being blamed for the girl's mistakes. "I tried to tell you." She protested, with a nonchalant shrug. Not that she really cared. It wasn't as if she was the one who walked into the wall!
"Didn't your mother ever tell you to look both ways before you cross the street?" It was no fault of her's that the girl had absolutely no sense of direction.
The two continued to glare at each other in an uncomfortable silence before it was broken by the most idiotic of questions. "What sort of senshi are you anyway?"
She supposed she could have pulled a 'Nealite' and pretended to play along with the girl's question. She supposed.. but pride quickly won out over the situation. Personally insulted by the comment, she nearly choked on her reply. "Me, a senshi?" She said, her slender hand touched her chest, "Excuuuseee me, but do you see me wearing that tacky a** outfit with your gay little sparkly magic bows and ribbons you call a fuku?"
"..I don't think so."

Sailor Algol looked down, at the shoes, the gloves, the whole outfit, and then at the - cringe- wrinkled skirt. It really really was quite overly tacky. And crooked. She should have brought those pair of scissors, at least then she wouldn't be so embarrased to present her horribly crooked skirt.
"Your outfit does look better than mine." She admitted, now that she actually stopped to compare the two. "Nicer trim too, and its actually symmetrical." This greatly upset her, why on earth was someone else wearing a clothing design clearly meant for greater beings such as herself?
She frowned, contemplating this issue. Clearly, she, Sailor Algol aka: Mindy Lee, was much more superior to this, random stranger, who most likely did not even realise that she, Sailor Algol etc etc, was going to be future ruler of the world. "I don't get it." She gave the other one more glance-over. "You're clearly not even that special."

Val returned Algol's stare with irritated one of her own, "Perhaps," She said, then she raised a finger to jab at the other girl's chest. "If that is the case, then what does that make you?" Ordinary? Heaven forbid if she should be ordinary.
Rolling her eyes, Val would never understand what it was that went on within a senshi's minds—
While the two continued to bicker and argue, neither of them noticed the approach of another being. From the shadows lurked a youma, saliva dripping from it's canine fangs as it greedily eyed it's prey. In a predatory manner, it slowly began to circle the two. It's eyes flashed red in the darkness, betraying it's hunger for blood.
Both girls would soon discover that they weren't alone.

Algol did not back down an inch even as the other confronted them, it was hard to tell what ordinary people were thinking anyway. What on earth was she doing meddling with a commo-
- And that is when she noticed something not so ordinary circling them. Thought the youma was not large by well, 'creatures of the impressive' size, the the inky silhouette seemed to expound the intimidating factor. She paused long enough to close her mouth, ponder this for a crucial second, and open it again. "Wait a second, you have a minion??!" The senshi of ghosts vaguely gestured towards the nearing glowing eyes, more interested in her re-evaluation of the other than of her potential impending doom.

"What are you talking about?"
Assuming the senshi was playing a mere trick on her, Val gave her an angry glare. Thought it didn't seem as if she was lying, appearances could be decieving. Following Algol's gesture, "If you're lying to me, you're going to pa-"
Her sentence was cut off mid-way by a low growl, as she regarded the demon with a wary stare.
Taking a hesitant step back, "It's not what I would necessarily call a minion.." She laughed, there was a strange tone to her voice.. It sounded like anxiety? She didn't want to admit she had no idea what this was, nor did she have any control over it. Though a youma should have been able to recognize it's own allies.. It appeared to be awfully hungry at the moment– she doubted it would be discriminate in it's taste.
Eating senshi = perfect, negaverse agent ≠ perfect.
Backing up, "Um, senshi of the thingamajig. What did you say your name was?" She whispered, slowly moving towards the exit.
