Day 11: Calling Cthulhu (Game Over)
So many dead and so many wounded, the lone G-Teamer walked down the deserted streets of Sniperville. All the rational people were either dead or they had been scared away in fear. Not many were left and one of them had to be the CK. But who?
As he walked, he caught a glimpse of a hooded figure wearing a cloak. In a frantic rush, he gave chase to the hooded shadow, leading him deeper and deeper into the maze that was the city’s alley system. From the rooftops looking down onto Alpha running like a madman, two other cloaked figures chuckled. “Should we make ourselves known?” one asked in a girls voice as the other nodded, starting to run across the rooftops.
As Alpha chased his hooded figure, they came to a clearing in the maze of back alleys. A wounded Insomnesiac lay in the middle, and the hooded figure drew a knife which made Alpha’s eyes grow to the size of meatballs. As he drew his G-Team badge he yelled “Insom! Protect yourself!” as he tossed the badge like a Frisbee, Insom catching it flawlessly. As the golden badge graced her fingers, the hooded figure turned on a dime and drove the knife straight into Alpha’s heart.
“Wha-a?” Alpha asked as he fell to his knees, two hooded figures and Insom standing in front of him with a giant smile on their face. As Alpha’s vision faded to blackness, they revealed themselves to be both Sunset Sonata and Satius. “So it was you…” he said as his final words before dying.
“So, where’s the seal?” Ash asked as Insom shrugged and Satius started chanting in an ancient language of the Crazed Killers. As she spoke, the blood of Alpha formed a Pentagram and it emitted a burst of red light into the air. At the site of all the other kills, the same light was emitted and shot into the sky, forming another Pentagram that covered Sniperville from the sky.
“It’s so pretty.” Insom commented as she dropped the G-Team badge in awe. From the center of the Pentagram rose one of the Old Ones, Cthulhu in all its demonic glory. “Anyone want to run me through this one more time before our plan comes to completion?” she asked as Satius dropped out of the trance and sat on the ground.
“Well, I’ve been killing people systematically for roughly 2 weeks, and the silly Snipervillers have been being thrown in jail by our accomplice Hatmaster.” Satius started.
“You mean the weird Sheriff with the 10 gallon hat?” Sunset piped in.
“Yes Sunny, Hattie.” Satius confirmed as she continued. “He’s been jailing people so that when we finally were able to summon Cthulhu, we’d have a way to bribe him to our side, by offering him the souls of the jailed. Sadly, Hattie succumbed to the Darkness and was consumed by the Dark Materia that lies within the Summoner’s text. Everyone knows you have to already be crazy to be able to read those things.” She laughed as she filed her nails into points.
“Anyways, Sunny, you set the public off our track by misleading them, while Insom, Hattie and KeJoRo gathered the necessary intel in order to take out our targets. And we succeeded, Cthulhu has risen from his slumber!” she laughed as the Old One shrank in size and landed in front of the girls, as if asking in a rude tone about the terms of his summon.
“We have souls for you. They’re in the dungeon.” Satius smiled, unyielding to the Old One while Insom and Sunset cowered in fear behind their leader. “You two are so silly, let’s go pick up KeJo.” She laughed as she skipped to the van.
Rubble and concrete was flying as the jailbirds slowly started going crazy as Cthulhu ripped apart their makeshift home. “But I loved that wall!” Ginji cried as Cthulhu devoured his soul, and the soul of all the other jailbirds in the immediate vicinity. When he had his fill, he crashed thru another wall and joined up with Sattie’s Harem .
“Well, now what?” Sunset asked as they finished watching Sniperville burn to the ground from Cthulhu’s mere presence. Ginji’s Larvitar cuddles up in her arms, it seems he’d found a new master, but Ginji would have been sure he was just in it for the boobs.
“Well, I think it’s obvious.” Satius smirked as she looked at the others, them staring back at her with a quizzical looks on their faces.
Together they frolicked into the sunset, holding hands and bouncing through the meadow as Cthulhu had a smile on its face and the others had become such great friends from the trials they had endured together. It was a lovely evening as they disappeared over the meadow and into the distance, never to be seen again.
THE END
The Winners!
Satius: The CK
Sunset Sonata: the CK NR
Insomnesiac: The SWAPed G-Teamer
KeJoRo: Part of the Alliance
Well, that was a fun game. It’s been great guys. When the RNG chose Satius as the CK for my game AGAIN I was a little suspicious, but I chose to roll with it, and lo and behold, she was able to win. The Pollster was quite over powered in the way I had it set up, but it was still quite fun to see how it developed. Maybe adding more rounds before a 3 vote change or something.
My reason for ending the game a few days early is that Sattie's Harem had a monopoly on the votes and promised they wouldn't vote for anyone in their alliance (at least those I was able to contact) and because backstabbing alliances is for meanie pants. So they would have won either way once they obtained a monopoly of the vote. Even with the Pollster, Alpha was using SWAP, thus allowing himself to be targeted, and Sattie guessed it right, making him quite the deadman.
Anyways, congrats everyone and I hope you had a fun game!
This is GM Ginji, signing off.
