 Kayo was finishing up his patrolling since he was after all a guardian in the pride. it really had not taken him long to adjust and learn the ways of the pride. he was actually very happy with his new home even though he was far from his parents and the old pride he had once called home. a small grin was on his face as he was thinking about his parents and siblings. he could only hope they were all doing well.

Kousetsu found herself enjoying the sun on the boarder of the pride lands. She didn't find anything wrong with that. She loved to just to lay in the sand. Oh, sand was wonderful. It matched her fur quite well. She felt she was at home now. She smiled as she pushed her paws into the sand, covering them up. To her, it was like she was one with the sand as she sat there. Her tail flicked playfully back and forth.
She was very new, and hardly knew anyone in the pride. Just those that she saw from the distance, and that lioness that showed her the place. The only thing that stood out on her from most everyone else in the pride, was the fact she had slight blue markings on her. Still not really sure where they came from, she never questioned her mother about it. Her light blue eyes scanned the land carefully, though she didn't notice anyone in front of her. Not that it would matter. She wasn't the type to attack anyone. Maybe run away if they seemed like they were gonna hurt her.

Kayo was so into his thoughts that he had not noticed he was about to trip over a lioness. it was far to late for him to realize it til he had a face full of sand. trying to get back up while in a coughing fit, he had no clue what just happened. one moment he was thinking about some fond family memories and the next thing he knew he face planted into the sand.

Something painful in her side made her come out of her little day dream. Of course, she wasn't sure what happened. At first she thought she had been attacked without realizing it. Quickly she stood up and looked herself over, before realizing that she hadn't been attacked. With that, she sighed, still forgetting to actually look for the one who caused her pain. Though, it didn't take long for that. "I'm sorry!" She said as she looked around. She wasn't sure why she was apologizing, it just seemed like the right thing to do.
When the male came into view after she looked about. He was in the sand, face first, from the looks of it. She couldn't help but give a small giggle to that. She could tell he was in her pride from just the items he wore. She'd never seen anyone else wear that anywhere until she came here. "I didn't mean to trip you, honest" She said as she finally realized what had happened. Though, she supposed he could have paid more attention where he was walking.
"Do... do you need help?" She asked him carefully. She wasn't sure what type of personality this male had. She didn't want to anger him. Though, that was totally unlikely. This pride seemed to have no real anger issues. Then again, she couldn't really just assume that for sure. "Are you okay?"

Kayo was still in a bit of a coughing fit as he finally got to his feet. he grew wide eyed though when he realized he tripped over someone. " its ok ...really its my fault for not watching where i was stepping." shaking himself out, he then started to wip his face off. " i should be alright........i feel like i made a fool of myself though. " chuckling a little, he gave his mane one last shake. " by the way i'm Kayo. i assume your from the pride right?" he had to make sure he had not tripped over some intruder since they happened to be pretty close to the boarder of the pride.

She couldn't help but to giggle some more. It was so funny, at least now that she realized they both will be okay. She smiled at him sweetly. "Well, your secret is save with me." She told him with a nod. Though, she looked around just to make sure no one else had seen it. Seeing as they were far enough away from the main area, it wasn't much of a problem.
"I'm Kousetsu" She said as she inclined her head slightly. "Pleasure to meet you, Kayo." She said with a nod. She normally wasn't one to talk to others, but this situation couldn't be helped. "Well, I'm going to assume we are. Seeing the accessories you're wearing." Of course assuming was bad most of the time. But then again, how many prides were around here? Not many... Not many at all. She smiled again.
"Well, I guess we both are guilty of not paying attention." She said at last. It wasn't just his fault. A almost cool breeze past them. It felt nice, just slightly colder then with no wind. Bits of sand flew lowly in the air. She loved watching sand swirl when the wind blew.

"well im glad to know i didn't make a big fool of myself in front of everyone." Kayo had a bit of a embarrassed grin on his face and took a quick glance about to make sure really no one else saw how big of a goof he had just been. " its good we both are or i probably wouldn't seem like a great guardian to a outsider." oh how he was glad she had not ended up being a outsider or he defiantly would look like a total idiot. " at lest no one else saw us not paying attention." when the almost cool breeze blew past, he couldn't help but turn and face it with his eyes close with a goofy smile. "got to love it when a nice breeze comes by."

"You're a guardian?" She was amazed and a bit baffled by that. She didn't know what to really say. She smiled at him finally. Well she wasn't the only one who was a bit clumsy. Which was good. Plus, he was higher up in the pride, and was clumsy. Which made her feel even better. "I'm just a huntress." Of course it was a important role. She was one of those that made sure everyone got good food. Even if she wasn't the best. Hell, she was probably one of the worst. Though she wasn't gonna say that to him. No.
A small smile crossed her fail when he said that he, too, loved the breeze. "Ah yes. I especially love watching the sand dance with the wind." She told him. It was art, just magical. She didn't know why she liked it. She just did.

" yeah amazingly enough i am and i try my best not to be sorta clumsy." Kayo chuckled before opening his eyes. " it really is interesting how the wind does that to the sand. i guess it because i never lived in a area that was sandy that i think its fun to watch." he curled his tail around himself as he sat down and made himself comfortable. " how long have you been in the pride now? i been here about a month or so myself."

She couldn't begin to imagine not being clumsy. She was almost too careless it seems. She smiled at him. He was very kind, and very handsome. She almost got lost in his words as he spoke, though she quickly shook herself out of it when she realized she should be listening to what he was saying, not to the way he was saying it. "I never lived around sand either." She told him. "I use to live in a land vast full of grass." And trees, but not too many trees.
As he asked her on how long she'd been here, she really didn't know. She hadn't been here that long. "Three days, I think" Sometimes she lost herself in time. Forgetting how long she'd been in a place. Though, to her, that didn't matter. This was home, and that was what mattered. And he was here in front of her... Which oddly, mattered to her as well. She smiled at him almost stupidly... God he was gorgeous, she told herself. Now feeling slightly foolish for saying she didn't know. She could have lied.... or made it a little less obvious that she was a bit absent minded at times.... but nooo.

Kayo didn't mind that she was absent minded at times at all, in fact he found her to be cute. " yeah it takes some getting use to with adjusting. i know it took me a bit to get use to the sand and heat." smiling, he was glad to find a pride member that was new like him that her could talk to. " it's refreshing to know that i talk to someone new to the pride now. plus i been trying to get to know everyone around here so i can be a good guardian."

She smiled at him as he smiled. She couldn't help it, it just happened. She let out a small giggle. She didn't want to start getting shy now, oh god! "Yes, It's always nice to be able to run into others who also weren't in the pride their whole life." She said fighting back the urge to hide her face and act like a bubbly female. "The adventures you can learn from others is just amazing." She added.
She wasn't sure how it was to be a good huntress, she'd just have to go and watch the others when the time came. "I'm sure you'll be a great guardian." Yeah, that didn't sound stupid at all. She wanted to roll her eyes at herself, but she didn't. She wasn't good at flattering others, she never did it often. She was beginning to feel a little stupid.

Kayo couldn't help but almost giggle himself when she let out a small giggle. "yeah i love hearing the adventures that others have had." he was enjoying himself a lot until he realized he was suppose to continue his paroling. quickly looking around a bit worried, he then smiled at her in apology. " thanks and speaking of being a great guardian i need to finish my rounds or i'm so in trouble. but maybe after we can meet up again and chat more?"

She could feel her cheeks rising with heat. He wanted to continue to talk to her after he was done with his job? Oh my! She smiled at him and nodded almost dumbly, then stopped herself for a moment. "Of course!" She said finally. Hoping she wasn't looking like a complete idiot. Which wouldn't be the first time. She wondered what great adventures he had been on before actually coming to this place. Though, for the moment she didn't want to ask. "I mean, I would love to chat more later. I wouldn't want to keep you from your work" She told him with another giggle. She wasn't sure what she'd do until then. She wasn't sure when the next time she'd actually go out with some of the other lionesses to hunt.

"sounds great." he had a big goofy grin and was rather pleased with himself at the moment. " i'll see you later than." still having the goofy grin, he couldn't help but have a bounce in his step as he went to finish his duties as a guardian. it made him feel good that he was gaining a good friend and he was hoping that he would gain more soon.
