(AIM log between Kim and Ecavi's charries)
Tabia: It had seemed a lifetime ago that they had first met, by pure chance, out in the rogue lands. She had been alone and hating it, wandering without a purpose and with no path in sight. Was it fate that their paths had crossed that day? Was it fate that things had worked out so perfect? Tabia, ambitious and loyal to those she trusted, had quickly warmed to Ahnik, finding his own ambitious nature extremely attractive. Now, finally, they were here in this new land; her new home, and they could start to plan and plot to her heart's content. She was never happy unless she was thinking or plotting something and just because they had arrived didn't mean it was an end of it. She had to admit that she still felt a little bad about what had happened to Ka'ohu. But, in the end, if the female wasn't prepared to swallow her own pride and learn to share, she did not deserve to be with a male such as Ahnik. That would always be that scruffy rogues undoing. Her pride. Tabia certainly did have pride, but her pride was more in her intelligence, and, by being with Ahnik and happy to share him with other females, she could live her ambitions for a higher place through him. She smiled at the thought and wondered, briefly, how the other two girls were doing, in any case. She only knew that she was happy and she assumed, of course, that Ahnik was, too.
---
Ahnik: Ahnik was in a good mood, as he had been since the true identity of Kikimu's mate had been revealed and she'd agreed- however reluctantly- to join them.. and then they'd become official members of the pride. Everything was all set now, but there was still work to do. He was off to a fantastic start, a new member and he already had three banu. Two were here against their will and that was where the next project started. He was very lucky to have Tabia on his side, she would make things much easier. He allowed Kiki and Anju to have whatever happy reunion they might have and went the short distance to have a chat with Tabia about what all of this meant. "Tabia," he greeted her, taking a seat by her side and facing the direction he had come, where the other two girls were, "Now the fun begins, eh?" He glanced over to her, grinning.
--
Tabia: She gave a warm purr at the sound of his paws approaching and turned her head to look at him as he sat beside her. He was a large male with an unusual coloured pelt. He certainly was handsome and she, even if she had disagreed with Ka'ohu on many things, her taste in men was at least something she could agree with. "Ahnik." She returned the greeting, looping her tail around herself. At his next words, even she could not stop the large grin from unfolding itself across her face. She nodded eagerly, turning her eyes back across the lands. "Indeed it does. And not nearly soon enough. I am certainly looking forward to this." She could not help but be proud of their achievements so far in finding two other females and finding entrance into the land. A newcomer, and already with three females, Ahnik was already in good standing amongst the other males here. "Are the others behaving?" She asked, tipping an ear in his direction.
--
Ahnik: "I'm glad you're so eager, I'm going to need your help," he said, looking back off to where he had left the other two, "They are behaving, happy for now to have each other back, I think. But since they're not strangers they may be harder to keep from silly ideas like running off." He curled his tail around himself like she did, clawing idly at the ground as he thought about how things would be for the next little while. This would be much more interesting than life had ever been before, he was already feeling some satisfaction and pride from his accomplishment. Now he had something to show for it, something that others could see and appreciate. It was already a lot better. "Kikimu already knows you're not in the same mind as them," he said thoughtfully, "That may make it trickier."
--
Tabia: She nodded, prepared to go to any lengths to help Ahnik achieve their goal. Her eyes dwindled, drawing across the landscape but not truly seeing anything past her stream of thoughts of what the next step would be. If those two did indeed try to run away, that certainly would be an annoyance. She doubted they would get far, however, though fleeing females wouldn't exactly reflect well on them... "You're right, I don't see either of them really opening up to me anytime soon, especially since I played a part in their capture." She gave a small shrug. "In any case, it can't be helped now. We'll just have to work with what we've got." She turned her head to look at him, her soft, lavender eyes glinting with mischief. "Have you got any ideas for us to start with? Or are we starting with a blank slate and going from there?"
--
Ahnik: Hmm, there might not be a whole lot of preparation they could do. He could only see them coming up with a plan to escape, any physical attack instead of or during such a plan would be much more dangerous because of the pride. They would have to be sneaky. But that meant they might come up with something unexpected. "We have to find a balance between suspiciousness and encouraging proper behavior," he said thoughtfully, "They may present themselves as proper banu in hopes of gaining some freedoms and so a chance to escape. We'll have to keep an eye on them both, and a lot of that will be up to you as you three will be working together."
--
Tabia: "Don't worry, Ahnik. I'll keep my eye on them, as often as I can spare to. And, so long as we prepare for the worst, they can't take us by surprise."
She paused, blowing out a long puff of air through her nostrils. It was a clear sign that she was trying to come up with a plan, only to have it elude her. "Unless, of course, we can prevent them from even considering it in the first place. What do you think might convince them to stay? I could threaten them all I like, with claw and fang, but that might drive them away rather than scare them into staying. Besides that, scared little banu aren't something to be proud of." She paused, grumbling to herself.
"I don't know them well enough, else this line of thought might have given me something. They cherish one another, but beyond that, what else could we use to manipulate them?"
Unless they found friends here, outside of Ahnik's harem? "Maybe I can talk to some of the other girls, get them to try and bring them around to the idea of this land and the way of living. Perhaps that will help them settle." But for that, she'd need to make sure she found the right type of females; ones that liked being here and were content with their place in life.

Ahnik: Ahnik's smile had faded slowly into a thoughtful indifferent expression, though not because he was displeased. Tabia's promise to keep an eye on them brought a small smile back to him, though, and he considered what she said. It might indeed help them to find other banu who would be willing to help them come around a bit, he knew at least one banu here from when he had first learned of the pride but he could not approach her, though he might advise Tabia about her. That was easy enough. The trickier part was the other suggestion Tabia made, using their connection to each other to manipulate them and he pondered the possibilities. "The best threats against them would be those directed at the other, and that might be most effective when they are not together," he said thoughtfully, "Perhaps keeping them separate during the days will prevent unsupervised planning and encourage them to accept that to see each other they must stick around."
--
Tabia: Her smile became sly and she nodded in agreement, certainly approving of this line of thought. To be so in control of their lives would be...well, it would at least make things interesting. "Yes, using their love for one another to control them would be somehow fitting, seeing as it was that love that trapped them both in the first place." It wasn't that she didn't agree with love. She knew it was an important aspect of life for all. However, she would never let herself be put in a similar position by being too afraid to let go of it - or so she deemed at this moment in time. "For that plan, I'll have to familiarise myself with the way things work here, particularly with the hunting parties and the timings. Hunting takes a great deal of time, so if we can work it that they are placed into different groups, that will be a big section of their day taken away from them, when they could be plotting." Were they worrying too much? Tabia was unsure. She didn't like to think that the females would run away, but she supposed it was better being safe than sorry. "Either that, or you could use your charm on them, perhaps, dear Ahnik?"
--
Ahnik: "For that," he said, a smug smile appearing on him at he suggestion, "I believe I'd have a better chance with Kikimu." He was pleased that she had brought it up, he had similar thoughts, arrogant lion that he was. He did know he'd have a better shot at winning over Kiki, she was surely upset about what happened but she was softer and gentler.. and that would make her easier to manipulate. Once he had Kiki, Anju would be quick to follow. They would use their relationship to their advantage, and he was sure there was a way to use it to trap them here. "A family, perhaps, will force them to submit," he verballized his thought, glancing to Tabia, "Together, no matter how much love they share, they can hardly have a family alone. I don't imagine Anju would come around to the idea but perhaps Kikimu would." If he could bring Kiki around to the idea, convince her it was an upside to being safe in a pride and with him the head of their family.. but her consent would be key in using it to make Anju accept that this was where they would stay.
--
Tabia: She nodded, thoughtfully, contemplating the idea for a long while, not wanting to rush anything only to slip up later. A family would complicate things, or perhaps it wouldn't. Certainly, if one of the females ended up pregnant - Kikimu by the sounds of it - then they certainly wouldn't want to risk the cubs by attempting to run away or anger anyone. Better yet, even after they were born, they would not be able to escape with them, and those lives would tie them here whether they liked it or not. Issues could arise when the cubs got older, but, if they were lucky and the female birthed males, then that fear could be dulled a little. After all, what male would not want the chance to have a few girls of his own to hunt and care for him? The advantages certainly seemed to far outweigh the disadvantages. She shared these thoughts with Ahnik, seeming content with the plan. "I think that could work well. Charm comes to you naturally enough, so all it will take is a little time for you to work your way past her defences. Once she sees you can offer her something that her lover cannot, then things will be easier." She smiled. "Yes, I approve of this plan." She paused a moment. "And, if you focus your attention on winning Kiki's friendship, I'll do my best to ensure that Anju is kept as busy as possible, in case she catches onto what we are planning. The last thing we want is for her to meddle before it's too late." She stood, stretching slowly and carefully. "When do you think we should start moving ahead with this?"
--
Ahnik: "It is a tricky idea and I don't anticipate it will be easily accomplished," he said, pausing as he considered how quickly they might move ahead with their plans, "We can't keep them hidden away for too long, it may impede the learning process and give them too much time for themselves to plot. I don't for a minute think they aren't making foolish, angry plans right now while we're out here making our own. Perhaps the four of us ought to go socialize with other members of the pride and we can start warming them up immediately. You can work with Anju on hunting and I will have Kikimu keep me company, as long as she is here, Anju will come back." Kiki would be more entertaining company, he didn't doubt that, and then when the plan moved forward it might not seem to strange that they were divided so. And besides, it followed the first plan to keep them from planning together privately. "Perhaps we ought to go arrange a proper introduction between the two of you since you'll be spending so much time together," he said, grinning at Tabia.
--
Tabia: Tabia nodded. "I agree. Best to move with the plan as swiftly as possible." It would be interesting to see whether she could try and whittle Anju's defences down a little. It certainly would make things easier if the female learned to trust her...though, she really couldn't see that happening any time soon.
"A proper introduction sounds like a fabulous idea. Perhaps I can try to summon up some charm of my own to warm her to me." She chuckled, leaning sideways to rub the side of her face against his neck.
"Well, what do you say? Shall we go interrupt their 'alone time' before they realise they could be using that time to plot terrible things?"
--
Ahnik: He leaned in to meet her as she rubbed against him, smirking. With Tabia helping him, this would be no problem. Certainly it would not be easy but they would enjoy it.
"I say that is a very good idea," he said, shuffling and turning himself toward the den. Now the fun would begin.
