For a sub-basement, it's...spacious, but terribly cluttered. Most of it's in shadow, but the areas that are lit reveal odd mannequins, boxes, a few odd mats here and there, and a large red flag hanging on the wall.

Beyond that, the area is dusty, full of cobwebs, and also smelled a bit funny. Any member of the FFU could explain that the smell was the dried blood, sweat, and tears of all those who had come before. It was what the price of freedom smelled like. A smell of hardship and pain. Of an unending plight being bravely fought against.

The smell of revolution lingered in the air.

As the students begin to gather, these revolutionaries remain quietly in the shadows, observing all, and hoping that The Chosen One will soon appear before them.

It was probably better for Aymet that he didn't have a nose. Well, he had a spot on his skull that used to be a nose, but everything he sniffed with hardly smelled like anything at all. The room wasn't intriguing to him because it smelled bad - he lived in the basement of the undead dorm, for Jack's sake, if he could handle that then no smell was going to send him running - but because of the decor.

The dracolich stared at the flag, which was not only visible but the only thing in the room that didn't seem to be covered in dust, cobwebs, or darkness. FFU? It looked legitimate. This was his first revolution, though. Kind of a small one too. Was anyone else going to show up, or was this it? Maybe if revolutions got too big they stopped being revolutionary.

Aymet looked around the room again idly, then took a spot standing next to one of the dusty boxes, not far from the stairway door.

Gargantuan wasn't exactly sure what revolution smelled like. The beast rather thought that... well, it didn't smell very nice in this room. He slunk in timidly, eying the bony guy who was standing near the door, and then glanced around at the rest of the room. A flag... He wondered if it tasted good.

It looked like it might have tasted good...

Not quite sure what to do with himself, the big beast awkwardly toyed with his hands, tail coiled around his feet. "Hullo." He finally offered to the dracolich, rolling his shoulders a little bit. This room was very dark, and sort of small, and reminded him terribly of the Other Bathroom. Not good memories.

The moment Braum slunk into the room, he smelled blood. Old, nasty, and far past its prime, but blood nonetheless. His feathers ruffled softly at the thought, and he momentarily wondered just what he'd gotten himself into. Tracing the line of his eyebrow with his middle finger gracefully, he stepped into the light of the room, passing the other two males brazenly. The dracolith smelled like carrion, the monster not much better. Rolling his eyes he stretched his wings once before letting them go back to rest. Glancing towards the flag, he almost sneered. What a gauche looking rag, even if it DID seem like the only well-kept thing in the place. In the middle of the light, he turned back to give a bored, droll look to the ones who called themselves 'male' although they didn't seem very dominant at first glance.

Perhaps physically they were male, but Braum was so far unimpressed. Most likely, his arrogance and ego would be his downfall, but the thought didn't occur to him that whomever had shanghaied this group into action wanted a HUMBLE entourage. Turning fully to the pair behind him near the door, he folded his wings neatly behind himself, in the same way he folded his arms and mostly out of habit than ulterior motives.

"Braumithras. Charmed." he quipped, his voice deep and droll, without trying to DELIBERATELY be insulting.

Deep within the shadows, something whispered irrately, "Seriously? Another guy?! I thought you said there would be girls! Girls with short skirts and big-"

"Shut it you!"

"If no girls are showing up, I'm outta here."

"What about the Grande Revolution?!"

"We can just ditch these guys and recruit from the FEARleaders, right?"

"...this plan..."

"..."

"...it has merit."

Israfel peaked his head in the room. It seemed legit in some ways. Revolutions always started underground. Or that's what his cousin had said. But she had also said that you could eat barnacles and that was a lie. A dirty dirty, salty lie. One that had chipped his tooth as a hatchling no less. So it was with timid steps Israfel entered the room and awkwardly said his hellos.
The first one was addressed to G. Why? Why not? Even if the giant was taking up most of the space and dominated the room, he was also a familair face who Israfel knew wouldn't hurt him. After all, if G was so terrible he'd have not taken the ribbon! "Hey G, so, that green on the sign up sheet was you I take it?" Er, yeah. Tact. Israfel lacked it.

It had taken a bit of searching to find sub-basement thirteen, and now that she was standing under its harsh overhead lights, gazing out over the rest of the arena, Adelle felt her initial misgivings creeping back to the surface. It looked sketchy at best, stocked with forgotten odds and ends, all of it lanced through with shadow and tied together by a red flag someone had pinned to the furthest wall. The raised fist emblazoned on the fabric earned a quirked brow from the gorgon, but she didn't linger on its symbolism for long, instead shoving her gloved hands deeper into her pockets and surveying the assembled others. Most of them were taking up space in shady niches, the glittering chips of their eyes the only thing that distinguished them from the still-shapes of the mannequins. Creepers masquerading as recruiters? It wasn't all that unlikely. But there were other students present as well, most of them looking uncertain, or trying very hard to exude a sense of bravado. All guys, she noted briskly, some bearing bones, others decorated with copious amounts of feathers. They seemed acquainted with each other, gathering together to form an involuntary ring of protection against the unknown. Her stare caught on the green behemoth last, familiar enough that she gave a brief nod of greeting in his direction without moving forward. He looked nervous, and if the snatches of conversation were any indication, he wasn't the only one.

Selecting a spare wall, Adelle leaned back and waited, not about to mingle with perfect strangers if she could help it. Her serpentine hair resented the move to pin it, and so she allowed it to clamber as it pleased, peeking around her waist or wrapping around thin biceps. Some of the more active snakes regarded the atmosphere, heads swiveling to take in what their mistress had quickly dismissed. All in all, they weren't too impressed either. This better not be the waste of time it's feeling like. She mused, plucking absently at the silvery rings of her choker to introduce a little lasting sound.

A voice sounds out from the shadows, "This look's promising!"

"...it looks pathetic and...smelly."

"SHUT IT! The only smell here is the smell of Revolution!"

"Sir! Yes, Sir!"

Now! There are many Great Injustices in this world of ours..."

"You must be this tall to ride - sign!"

"Really high counters at stores!"

"Yeah! Those really suck! Especially when you're trying to see whose one the cover of that months PlayFairy!"

"Yeah! We gotta take a stand!"

"Right! Meaning that BATTLE. IS. INEVITABLE!"

"Peaceful Resolution is for Sissies!"

"So we're gonna TRAIN YOU in the WAYS OF WAR!"

"Cause there's not point in having a flimsy meat shield!"

"RIGHT! And so....WAIT. NO."

"Dude, they aren't supposed to hear that sort of thing!"

"Ah...oh yeah."

A couple small coughs and the shuffling of feet can be heard. "Anyways! Let's get you grubs warmed up!"

"We don't do no stretches!"

"In WAR, a grunt who stops to stretch get's themselves maimed! Horribly!"

"...and then used for Spare Parts!"

All things considered, they were likely speaking from experience.

"Exactly! As Revolutionaries, we need to hone our Elite Stealth Skills!"

"Like ninjas!"

"And for that, we have a small training exercise! We call it the Stealth Ops Preparedness in Total Bad-Assery Training Regime!"

"...I just call it Hide n' Seek."

"AND I CALL YOU A JACK DAMNED IDIOT WHO NEEDS TO NOT OPEN HIS JACK DAMNED KNOB GOBBLER!"

"...sorry."

"So to continue! Revolutionary Trainees! Get your assets in gear and HIDE! HIDE! HIDE!"

The barked orders were firm and absolute. Maybe, despite everything indicating otherwise, this so-called "Grande Revolution" would teach them a few things.

Probably not, though.

The smooth purr of the demon was enough to make Gargantuan brighten at least a little, and he waved awkwardly at the feathered being. Of course, the demon was all but forgotten as a girl stepped inside too, and the swamp beast's ears wiggled happily. It was Adelle! He liked Adelle! And her hair, though her hair ate more food than she did...

Glancing down to Israfel with a silly little grin, G nodded quickly. "Yup. G handwritin' gettin' better." Oh, was that what it was?

The sudden sound of voices booming from every which way made him jump, and the monster nervously flexed his hands, peering around to try and find these people that were supposed to find them. Hide? Hide??? Panicked, G shuffled towards the nearest corner he could find.

One nice think about the green beast Israfel had noticed was that he tended to not notice the little things. Such as social faux pass or general 'not everybody likes dead frogs'. G was simple and sweet, and Israfel found it rather refreshing.
What wasn't refreshing was the sound of the speakers. Wait. Who a whut now? "Old on a second, are fighting for Playfairy?" He was a bit confused, mostly because that was a dirty magazine. Second because he was sure revolutions didn't start with those things. But the word badass got his attention. All he had to do was hide? Hm, maybe Mr. Darcy's, (Ohhh Mr. Darcy) class would come in handy.

Braum rolled his eyes at the yelling and whispering of the beings in the shadows, flexing his wings a small bit, until they mentioned they'd be starting an impromptu stealth exercise. His eyes darting to each side, he grit his teeth and spread his wings, flapping only once to get himself airborne and turn into a crow to make himself smaller and harder to find. Finding a lofty crack in the wall, near the ceiling, he swooped towards it and squeezed himself in. It was an incredibly tight fit, and he'd had to throw out a mouse that was nesting there, on top of resisting the urge to devour the poor creature. Crunching it's bones would make too much noise though, and he shuffled his wings this way and that, little by little, until he was wedged in the little ledge, hopefully camouflaged by the dark shadows of the room and his all black feathers.

Bul was on his way to one of the outdoor walkways with the intent of finding a nice place to nap or loiter when he remembered a very crucial class when passing the gymnasium. Remembering he hadn't yet signed up for a class- he also recollected the sheet of paper he had written on before. Before darting through the large doors he glanced around suspiciously then slipped on in. He was shocked to see that there were others occupying the room, and grinned nervously.

s**t, this is totally not it... he thought to himself, but caught sight of the flag posted. Before too long Bul also recognized the green giant from the student elections and felt a huge wave of relief. This definitely didn't look like some joke, especially if that big monster he admired was hanging.

The red head staggered forwards to see other boys and even a few girls he wondered how he hadn't seen before- that is, he assumed the beautiful blue siren was a girl... from a distance in such a dark space it was unquestionable. Quickly though, having been in the room for but a few moments, he followed the orders of the booming voice and looked around desperately for bleachers or rafters in which he could climb and stretch behind. Bul was sorely disappointed he couldnt talk to the others first, and nervously looked to see if he could find them.

The sudden shout had her flinching, not because it was loud, but due to the discordant tone of each voice, bickering like they had forgotten to plan out their script ahead of time. While she was no authority on revolutions, organization and carefully measured speeches kind of seemed like a must when rallying a crowd. Not that she cared all that much about the endgame, so long as the promise of FEAR training was fulfilled. But now they were supposed to hide? How was that going to hone battle skills? As far as Adelle knew, cowering in a niche while your opponent circled around the spot was not the most conducive tactic to winning. Then again, considering she'd penned her name on a scrap of chewed-up paper, it was a wonder she could still be surprised.

Jaws clenched, she observed the first few students shuffling out of sight, one quill-laden figure that had just arrived looking as baffled as she felt. Loosing an exasperated breath, the gorgon sank further back into her position, falling into a crouch and half-creeping, half-slithering to find something that might serve as a hideaway for however long it took the exercise to conclude. She didn't have much experience with hide-and-seek - or whatever they were calling it now - but her size wasn't a detriment to the game, and her ability to quietly blend could only help in this quasi-cause.

The pep talk was quite stirring, especially the part where everyone started running for their deaths to different corners of the room. Stealth was a somewhat alien concept when one was six feet tall and glowed in the dark, but it sounded promising.

The dracolich attempted to wedge himself behind a stack of boxes just outside the ring of dingy light. Maybe he should have left his wings by the door when he came in to save space. His blue eyes roved around in their sockets as he attempted to spot the others he'd seen and heard before they dove out of sight - but his eyesight was no help.
