Have you ever played with ghostly anything before? Well, if you haven't stop reading this right now. Seriously, look away from this topic, and go to the next one.........

Are they gone yet? Alright! Well, then. I am having a contest about ghosts and ghostly encounters. So, you ever see a ghost before? Ever been haunted by one? Have you ever been a ghost before? Well, here is a late Halloween contest. Late because no one else tried out for my last one. So, ready for the prizes and rules?

About this contest: You must write a short story, not too short, not too long, but a just right story. This story must be about any kind, shape, form, or format of ghostly encounters. It could be about you meeting a ghost. You playing with a Ouija Board. You summoning a spirit. You selling your soul to the devil. It could be a incubus or succubus raping you. Some form of ghostly encounter or dream. IT CAN BE ANYTHING LIKE THAT, BUT IT MUST BE BASED OFF OF AN ACTUAL EVENT, OR IS AN ACTUAL EVENT!!!!!!

Got it?

Rules:
1. No lying in your story.
2. It must be good.
3. It must be detailed enough.
4. And you better enjoy writing it!
5. You can not make up a story and posst it here.
6. When you are done with the story, just post it here.
7. You must put at before the beginning of your story if it was real event that you are writing about, or a based off of real even that you are writing about. or you can paste after your story. (Please note that this story and note must be in the same post.)
8. This contests is from Ocotber 31st----To----November 5th!
I will try to get the gold prizes to ya'll on the 5th or 6th.
Okay? Okay.

Got it? Get it? Good.

Prizes:

1st place ------- 5,000 Gold.
2nd Place ------- 3,000 Gold.
3rd Place ------- 1,000 Gold.

Losers ------------ 500 Gold for participating, and alittle extra 100 Gold if it was good.

Well..... Those are all the rules and requirements... So good luck and please enter this newly revised contest. (Please note this was originally the "Ouija Board Story Contest". Too many complaints made me change it. Sorry for the inconvienence)

Please write well, and good luck!

Never played with an Ouija board before so I guess I'm disqualified darn it. I saw one at a garage sale and picked it up to look at it, does that count? No it didn't whisper any arcane secrets to my soul, it's freaking cardboard for crying out loud.

Okay then,This is a fiction based on that encounter. This happens when I was about 6 or 7

I was at a garage sale looking through the stack of books when some old board games caught my eye. I was looking at Twister and saw a plain-ish looking box and picked it up. When I saw Ouija I put it right back down, I'd heard some stories about Ouija boards before and did not want to mess with them, besides, it may have only been a piece of cardboard with a plastic whatchamacallit but it was warned against in church along with tarot cards, wiccan rituals, and murder. As I was walking back towards the books, I heard a quiet, odd little noise. It sounded something like several voices at once and made me shiver despite the humid 90 degree weather. What went through my mind in those few moments were some of those superstitious nonsense stories I'd heard supplemented by my overactive imagination. I had to force my self to turn around by saying "It's only cardboard" while some deeper part of my imagination was saying, "There is a reason why they told you not to touch those things." I looked back and the box was just sitting there, you guessed it, doing absolutely nothing. I did that walk you do, you know, the one you do in haunted houses where you don't admit you are scared but just in case, go a little faster. Then, of course I heard the noise again and natural instinct dictated that I make a beeline for my mother. She wondered about my sudden appearance but said nothing, and went back to looking at the musty clothes piles. From the general safety of proximity to my mother, which would repel any natural or supernatural forces that weren't homework, I surveyed the area of the board games and saw my brother examining the electronics. As he fiddled with the dial on a radio, I briefly heard a quiet murmur of an announcer.
Despite this revealing little observation, I stuck to my mother like duct tape and slept with my arms very tightly around my teddy bear that night. I was also unusually irritable towards my brother for a few days.

I don't want any part in this contest, but I did send you a PM. I just didn't feel like sending another one, but I wanted it to be clear that I'm not actually participating. In other words, if I share my story, I do not want gold for it.

It would be kinda lame if I was the only person in the contest.

WEll, it means there are no people with ghostly experiences then. Or people who have forgotten the velue of 5,000 Gold.

That wasn't very nice. Maybe not very many people here have had ghostly encounters that they want to share. After all, I don't believe in ghosts either.

My encounter wasn't ghostly. Okay, the lady running that garage sale was a bit creepy but I'm sure she was living.

I'm sort of a skeptic too.
