The longest I've kept up with a journal it about a week. We'll see how this goes. My name is Emi so please call me as such. I'm of teen age I am happy with life and I hope to be for awhile. I like any genre from fantasy to bio-horror (anyone read The Hot Zone?) except for chick books. They're just not my thing. Thats me in an extremely small nutshell. Oh and at the end of every offical journal post I'll put a small little icon. Just to amuse my self. : ) - - - - - - -
10/29/10 Today it occurred to me that I'm getting no where with my current story. I'm going to need some serious help to get it rolling again. I know where I want to go but I'm unsure of how to get there. Furthermore what I've already written is going to need some major word tweaking and fixing. So I'm considering for NaNoWriMo (first time trying it at a friends suggestion) to get started on another story that I have a clearer idea of and I've been itching to write it anyway. I'm not sure what to do.
In other news why are all these X-mas commercials on? : /

------- 11/03/10 Second journal post! I'm actually keeping up! Anyway I'm in on NaNoWriMo and writing my Apps story. I've got a group of friends doing it with me so we might get together at like a coffee shop one day and type away. I'm beginning to wonder if Apps is a silly name for the story but it will stick for now. I've taken to carrying a journal to write during school. I'm not in the mood for an icon so none today. Wow short post.

------- 11/29/10 Well I didn't finish NaNoWriMo but I had too much to do and I started late. Lame excuses aside I have found an awesome website that my friends showed me! I'm going to end up using it but it's just fun pushing the randomize button on random things.Try it! You might like it! http://nine.frenchboys.net/ Anyway I came up with another new idea and so I'm going to neatly file it away until I can get around to it. I'm going to take up my old story again now that November is over. In other news this Winter season will be nice I think. Thats is if the temperature here will actually drop. I'm thinking about writing a winter short story for fun. Three weeks till the next break! : )

Do you mind? I already have alot of things distracting me from writing, and I don't need a fun link on top of it all. xd So are you not going to finish your NaNoWriMo story?
Anyway, enjoy your winter story. As soon as winter set in, I was like, "Okay, time to write something about summer!" The temperature has dropped plenty here... there's so much ice, I don't trust my truck anymore.
Oh, and I'm cheering the break on too. Its like, time to write + presents- what could be better?

Aren't fun links worth the distraction though? : D Well I haven't accomplished the goal but I'll pick up that story again some time. Beholder is my main concern now.
Thanks! I've been thinking of what to do for a winter story so I guess I'll have to start some brainstorming. (A summer story? What on earth are you thinking?) The temperature here has been going up and down like crazy. It's supposed to be 70 on Friday. Yesterday it was 40. Argh.
Good we have two people cheering break on! Maybe it will come faster!

As far as I'm concerned, winter story= christmas story. And although I actually love christmas, I don't care for very many stories about it. The gift of friendship is corny and predictable. (No, I'm not a scrooge. I promise!) Anyway, although I'm personally enjoying the change of weather, my characters are not going to have a dancing charade out in the snow. I can't wait to go sledding. And when break finally arrives, maybe some of my inconsistent friends will finally have enough time to hang out with me. So, what are your best ideas for winter stories right now? (You don't have to give me details- I am paranoid about other people stealing my ideas, so I don't expect them to share much with me either. Yet they do.)

Haha well it isn't going to be a Christmas story per say but it will be mentioned briefly. There will be snow because the lack of it here makes me want to write about it. I love super cold weather so that 70 degrees makes me want to go to Alaska or something.
Perhaps the best thing is hanging out with friends. My friend comes back from Iowa on break so thats going to be fun. : ) We like writing together.
Well so far I can say that I may be a story of a nameless little girl and a dog. Not her dog. It will have to do with snow of some sort. I dunno thats all I have right now... >< (It won't be another sad dog story! I swear!)

Haha- I do have to admit that most sad dog stories are good dog stories (old yeller, sniff sniff). Have fun doing that. We have plenty of snow here. But there hasn't been a fresh fall for a few days, so now its starting to get muddy. Alaska is too far away for me. I'm sure its pretty, but its gonna take alot more than that to get me in a car for that long. I'm not even going to talk about my friends right now. That could go in a whole different rant thread.

Yeah no snow but maybe I'll get lucky. Snow always looks so pretty so I get jealous. The one time that it snowed last year I lied down on the floor and looked out the window and watched the snow fall. Someone told me that it looks you're in a snow globe. : )
Maybe you should do a rant thread! Always makes me feel better to rant.

I'll have to test out that snow-globe theory. Anyway, even after all these years of snow, I have to admit I still think its strikingly beautiful. Whenever I look at the snow-covered mountains, I feel like I'm in Germany.
I think I'll refrain from the rant thread since we get so little activity in here. And I kind of avoid the regular forums if I have any complaints- people can be so mean!
How's your snow story going at this point? I'm supposed to be working on my story actually... especially since I didn't get my 2k words in last night. But, of course I have to stop in here first.

------- 12/08/10 Woohoo tis the season everyone! I've gotten my idea for the winter story fleshed out! Just need to start writing. The story that I've been working on for a while and that I love to pieces has hit a road block. I don't know what to write. If I write it will seem empty. I guess I have lost my motivation? It's a shame really. Does anyone have motivation for me? I've gotten very far it would be a shame for me to drop it at this point and I really don't want to. Suggestions?

------- 12/19/10 Oh my gosh! Just this morning I went to this awesome hotel that is more like a mall and Disneyland put together! They had a special ice exhibit called ICE. (Clever aren't they?) It was about 9 degrees (they gave us heavy parkas) and the ice sculptures were fantastic! They were all based off of a Charlie Brown Christmas! I could not believe how fantastic is was! Everything was created from massive blocks of ice and there were even colored lights inside the ice and an ice slide. I have decided that in one of my stories I simply must incorporate a similar place into it! Ice is really beautiful I must say and I really want to write about it somewhere. Hooray for new experiences!

------- 01/15/11 I've hit a road block. My story that I have made significant progress with has come to a grinding halt. I have no idea what to write past this sort of transition point. It is sort of robotic writing and no matter what I write it ends up being run over by the backspace key like roadkill. I want to get past this and write the rest of the story that has more motivation. I might end up putting it up on hold which would be a shame because I have gotten fairly far in it. Any suggestions?

Maybe it would help to skip the part that's giving you trouble for now. Write a later scene that you're excited about, and maybe it will help you figure out what needs to go in this transition. And if you still can't manage anything, you might just need a little break to think about the story. Sometimes even when you aren't actively trying to work through a problem, your mind is still working on it subconsciously.
