Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a fine start to you Halloween weekend, despite the ghostly menace that's currently plaguing us-- but the EI Report show must go on! It's an unusually light one this week due to the holiday rush, but we do have a cute surprise...
New! The Owlpocalypse is upon us! From Gaia's most owl-obsessed artist comes this celebration of all things owlish; this strange item doesn't update with the regularity of most EIs-- it will be evolving all willy-nilly, with new poses randomly popping up here and there.
You can grab the new Owlpocalypse now in the Cash Shop, or browse around for plenty of other neat stuff. And be sure to stop by our weekly EI poll, as usual! Have a great Halloween, everybody!
your thoughts? its only 99 gaia cash. i didnt know they made EI for only that much ...

I completely agree with Ninja Eternity on this one. The fact that all those other mini-EIs (Timmy, Catastrophe!, etc.) didn't turn out as well as they were supposed to be kinda set a tone for the next mini-Eis. The fact that they "didn't meet up to our standards" shows us the path that this mini-EI will likely make.

It's incredibly cheap which is awesome. And has owls, with is also great. It'll probably be terrible though since they tend to just not give a damn about the cheaper EI's.

Well, although Mini-Eis have a bad track record, it is by Ethe. And she usually delivers, and in a timely manner.

Sir Black Tea Well, although Mini-Eis have a bad track record, it is by Ethe. And she usually delivers, and in a timely manner. Oh dear god, I'd hope it didn't linger for years like the catastrophe.

The whole concept of having an Owl EI doesn't exactly sound good.. With better EI's out there, The Owlpocalypse won't be that favored..

It's by ethe? Interesting, but the fact that it evolves randomly has me wary.

My-Darkest-Wish I completely agree with Ninja Eternity on this one. The fact that they "didn't meet up to our standards" shows us the path that this mini-EI will likely make. Ditto, however, it is still possible to make easy gold once we can predict the price increases between different generations. However, to me 50-80k is kind of not worth it to hold on to an item for months/ weeks however long between these "random" evolutions

First of all, did no-one notice the similarity between the names Catastrophe and Owlpocalypse? lol That alone is enough to judge this item imo.
Sir Black Tea Well, although Mini-Eis have a bad track record, it is by Ethe. And she usually delivers, and in a timely manner. ALL of Gaia's artists are paid employees. They all do their work in a timely manner, or they'd be fired already.
Ethe has been good at sticking to a schedule, sure. Reapersun may not seem to be very good at that, but that's just what you see on the outside. The problem isn't the artist; the problem is the lack of schedule in the first place.
Graven123 now now catastrophy is/was cute. and so is the owl smile its just something fun for people to play with. not use as a chip to reach higher financial heights. "wooo" dont like owls! Do not underestimate the investment potential of this item. I wouldn't pay more than 5-10k per, but that doesn't mean it's a bad investment. Like the Catastrophe or the Case of Pietro, this isn't a normal EI with a predictable end-date. You're not relying on a final evolution for your profit—instead, you're relying on the price spikes that you'll see at every announced evolution. It's risky because you don't know how long you'll be waiting, but there's definitely profit to be made.
