It sounds like an actual intresting and valid course to me. Because when you think about it, the sociology of fame really is somewhat of an important issue nowadays. Such knowledge could be the deciding factor in whether or not future fame sensations become the next Lindsy Lohan(self-destructive) or the next Amanda Bynes(smart enough to keep it together).
Well, it is all very fascinating to me anyway, but sociology and psychology have always been two intriguing subjects for me anyway.
