<.<; seriously?
I mean be logical about this. A time traveler? -.-;
I mean even if there was that possibility wtf would you wanna go back into that era in time.
They said something about it being a hearing aid. because back then they weren't all small fitting for your ear.

It's one of those old fashioned hearing aids. The ones shaped like small horns. The pointed end goes in your ear, and they have to be held. As for the person talking, they were either testing the hearing aid, or talking to someone nearby.

The first thing I thought when I saw that was "I wonder if she's really on a cell phone. Someday I'll go back to that time and find out" xDD
Thing is though, time travel would have to be invented pretty soon for that to be a cell phone because they are getting smaller and smaller these days. If time travel is possible, I think by the time it is invented phones will pretty much be built into our ears xD

Please answer me it is a horrible dream. How much should I shout, writhe and suffer?
Technically, you can Time Travel. Though, I doubt that this girl is a time traveler. Please tell me it is a horrible dream. I want to smile again at last

Arashi Erina Technically, you can Time Travel. Though, I doubt that this girl is a time traveler. Yes ... into the future only! XD
Someone in the comments on the OP's link mentioned that person being camera shy. I think that's the most logical explanation. The person in question is probably just holding his or her hand to the face, looking away from the camera. We can't even tell if "she" is talking!
Someone on another web site (I did some serious research) commented that Charlie Chaplin wrote, directed, produced, and acted in the film. Chaplin took every detail very seriously in all of his work. This person stated that Chaplin would not have allowed a stray person (even in the background) in his movie.
From Wikipedia, Quote: This is one reason why Chaplin took so much longer to complete his films than those of his rivals. In addition, Chaplin was an incredibly exacting director, showing his actors exactly how he wanted them to perform and shooting scores of takes until he had the shot he wanted. What else can I say? No cellphone infrastructure in the 1920s?♥ kat ✽

i saw Ray William Johnsons review of this. veryyyy interesting. I personally dont think she is time traveling... as do many other peope, appearantly. there are many other explanations to this, it could be anything from her being camera shy to her using a hearing aid. at least those seem to be the most popular explanations people are coming up with.

I think she's an alien... look at her size 14 shoes omg. She's soooo short but she has feet that are as tall as her. I mean I have big feet, but normally when you see people that short, you see a size 8 foot, not double that. lol And such a big coat. Hiding something. I don't think its a cellphone, and I don't think its a hearing aid. She is holding something though and talking into it.
Heck maybe she's just a crazy with a pet rock? Or a shell from the ocean? XD

Could it have been a walkie-talkie or maybe a small transistor radio? I think walkie-talkies were invented before WW2. confused
