AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM
Name: Leander R. Airaldi
Nicknames: Mac. He's not sure why.
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Faction/Race Reaper - Psychopomp
Personality: Quiet and calculating, Leander is an outstanding Guide; he does not judge a person's nature or reasoning, just simply leads them to where they need to be. He doesn't make opinions one way or another, and he certainly ---
Yeah. Okay. Who is he kidding? He is a teenager. He is working on these things, but he is bound to slip up a lot occasionally. For one thing, he usually doesn't even refer to himself as Leander! He has gotten so used to his nickname 'Mac' that he'll introduce himself as such to his peers while the name 'Leander' will only show up on more official things like paperwork, though the occasional class signup and sometimes even homework will be signed as 'Leander'.
He enjoys meeting others and learning about them, since as a future Guide to the Dead it's only slightly important to know what the souls could be up against. For the same reason he as a mild case of wanderlust - in the event he does have to literally guide them, knowing the surroundings is a definite plus. Granted, he tends to go out of his way to meet greet and wander, and does so usually by convincing (or at least attempting to convince) a friend or complete stranger to come with him for the sake of adventure...or from some hairbrained scheme he thought was a good idea at the time. He has a desire to be accepted and because of this he can come off as a thoughtless jerk. There will be a time where he will pick a single person and pick on/undermine/belittle them relentlessly in any way he can; deep down he doesn't actually mean it, he just won't entirely realize what he's doing.
Mac is also interested in the barter system; he tries to be one of those students with 'connections', though his connection is really just an incredibly doting Aunt who wouldn't think twice about giving him something, provided he gives her a good reason to want this thing. This does make him rather spoiled, but he can give his things away! ...So long as he gets something back, anyway. He judges the value of the thing he's looking to barter, so the item could be worth someone else doing his homework, or the same item could be worth a drink from the vending machine, or even that really interesting looking bracelet you're wearing. It changes depending on his mood and needs at the time.
However if there isn't anything he considers a fair or worthy trade, he'll either sit back and play on his Skintendo DS or listen to his eyePod. There is a way of making him help you without payment; you'd either have to be a Teacher, or to overpower him somehow, be it physically or through cornering him in an argument. At this point in time he's a physical coward despite his flaunting and he will very likely give up the item (or even just run) if push came to shove.
This bartering habit makes him a bit of a hoarder, and his room will be ridiculously messy, stuffed with items and knickknacks he has acquired along the way. He loves his stuff - parting with any of it will be very hard for him. Unless he really wants something else, of course.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
Leander comes from a long line of Psychopomps, and they believe that schooling and training are incredibly valuable. Thus, they booted him off to school the first chance they had. Currently, Leander thinks that he will be heading towards Ferryman; but he could change that. Psychopomps have a lot of career options.
FEAR:
Natural: Eidetic memory for places he has been. He only needs to be there once to remember it clearly. The same goes for Beasts; if he has learned of a creature or has seen one, he will remember what he learned. People? Not so much.
Battle: Refused Service/Bouncer: Leander may block and may potentially reflect one attack from his opponent. If his roll is higher, he will reflect the attack, if it is equal he will just block it, and if it is lesser he will block only a portion of it.
Example:
+ : Opponent: 5, Leander 6: Leander reflects the attack as though he rolled a 5
= : Opponent: 5, Leander 5: Attack just blocked completely.
- : Opponent: 5, Leander 4: Leander blocks 'X' amount of damage (for argument's sake, the roll equals the blocked points so in this case, he'd block 4 points from the opponent's attack)
(( This is just an idea, though I think it might be too overpowered? ))

Staff vs. Bird: Which is his Reaper Weapon?
It could be hard to tell which of the two - his White Birch Staff or his Whip-poor-Will bird - is his Reaper Weapon. They came into his possession at around the same time, though the staff was given to him and the grumpy looking bird was found as a Nestling in his Aunt's yard. He is rarely seen without one or the other, and if one is missing you can be sure it's somewhere nearby; he is possessive of his staff and will refer to the Whip-Poor-Will as his familiar. Don't be fooled, though! Mac's Reaper Weapon is actually his White Birch Staff; he is not a Warlock nor is he strong enough to summon and possess a familiar. The grumpy bird is just very loyal to him.
