x x xWelcome to the mall and Happy Halloween! For weeks before Halloween the commercials were running and the flyers were everywhere advertising the local mall's Halloween festivities. This year an anonymous Halloween enthusiast donated a very large sum to have the mall rigged up with a unique and extravagant spooky set-up.
The entire mall is decorated in spooky decor typical of this haunted season. There are fake spider webs everywhere, the walls are covered in an easily washed away depressing gray tone, there are spiders and bats everywhere (fake of course but very realistic!). And that is just the long and wide walkways!
Inside each shop is themed with a different fright. (Much like a haunted house but much much bigger!) For instance, Claire's - the usually pink a cute girl store is now an insane plastic surgeon's domain, his massacred patients hidden to jump out and spook anyone that passes! But the always dark store of Spencers is just as dark, but has merely been turned into a big costume store (for those of you that don't have a costume yet.)
Last but not least, is the food court! It is still...a food court, with all of its many tables set up and tons of places to sit. But now instead of serving it's typical foods, there are different Halloween foods to partake of.
So come to the mall, the whole week of Halloween it will be running! Have fun.
- Post to join, the set up is as described above and anything not specified is up to you to be creative on, it's night-time when it opens.

Salem Panda There he was, in that Panda suit again. He was definitely getting more use out of this thing than he thought he would. He had removed the head upon approaching the doors of the mall. This kind of spooky fun just called his name. A social setting with a dark side, definitely his thing. He went largely unnoticed despite the head being off. For the most part, his band wasn't really everyone's thing. It was popular with a certain crowd and that satisfied him, along with lining his pockets and filling his concerts.
Now that he arrived, he was ready for some fun. He entered the mall and stopped to look around for a moment. It was decorated very nicely. A lot of effort had been put into this and it showed. Salem seemed to have entered right into the food court. Being around food always gave him that strange feeling of obligation to eat, and so he decided to partake in some goodies. He approached one of the food counters.
The menus were all Halloween based now which interested Salem. "I'll have a.....blood burger......and some.....potato fingers!" he said with a laugh. It was obvious what the foods actually were but he was just so easily amused and child like. Upon receiving his food, the sableye headed to a table. It was decorated with a single black candle sticking out of a fake skull.

Skeleton Cubone Lonian had spent his afternoon in a public restroom at the local McDonald's with his loose long sleeved shirt tied around his waist while he painted his bare chest. The boy didn't really have any money to speak of, and certainly not enough to buy a costume for the Halloween season. But he knew he couldn't go to a Halloween event just dressed as himself - Loni the homeless musician. So he'd stopped by a crafts store and stolen a few paints.
When paired with the skull mask that the cubone already owned, this made for a nifty and casual skeleton costume. He was now adorned with a pretty skillful skeleton painted over his skin, and pulled his mask down over his face. He slipped his ear buds into his ears before picking up his back pack and exiting the restroom. He got quite a few looks, particularly from the people that had seen him often on the street corners with signs requesting aid. But he ignored it. It was nearly Halloween, a costume was a good thing.
He'd gotten used to receiving odd looks. That was just the way that he lived his life. He now wore his usual outfit except that the shirt was on his waist and his mask was actually on his face - and the skeleton painting he adorned, as he entered the very well decorated mall. It put a huge smile on his face, that luckily was hidden by the long mask. His eyes were up, towards the second floor where he could see ghouls and goblins and witches looking down at the food court from the railing. He hadn't realized it but while looking he was still walking, and turning about - fully caught up in the decorations. And then BAM! He tripped, over a ******** chair.
"Ow..." he muttered, as he petted his shin that had been hit hard when the chair fell. It caught a bit of attention but soon people returned to what they were doing. He just dusted himself off, picking up the chair along with his dropped back pack, and setting the chair back up at the table that it was from. And then he saw a face that he certainly recognized sitting at the table he had disrupted. He was caught silent for a moment and then offered a laugh, "Sorry 'bout that." he said to the panda, and apology for disturbing his meal with the clumsy act.

Salem Panda Salem couldn't help but let out a laugh as the distracted cubone fell over the chair across from him. His childish mood was probably the cause of it, he found it to be completely hilarious. "Nice one," he said with a little clap. He made sure his food was alright, looking down at the red [by food coloring] burger and the fries that were made to look like fingers.
Everything was fine, so there was no harm done. Of course he wasn't mad, that would have been pretty out of character given the mood he was in. He looked the other man over once more, he was painted up as a skeleton. A fun and casual costume. "Well Mr.Skeleton would you like to sit down for a bite of a burger and some fries?" he offered, trying to get out of that obligation to eat. Hopefully the man would take the self imposed burden off of him.

Belinda Jones Mad Hatteress Belinda removed herself from her bedroom and entered the living room. The faint noises of the television drew her in. Commercials. She stuck her tongue out at the scream, taunting the advertisements. She didn't like commercials. They all ruined her programs. Then, a commercial came up on the screen. Informing viewers of the all week Halloween haunt event. Where the stores of the mall were decorated into haunted houses. Her lips curled into a sharp grin. Pleased by this. Excitement filled her single eye and then, she darted back into her bedroom. SHe stepped into her closet and shuffled through the clothes she owned. Finally, she found her costume of the Mad Hatteress. She giggled with excitement and quickly stripped her current outfit from her pasty body. And with in moments, she was the Mad Hatter. She giggled. Last time she wore this costume, it was at the costume party. She was forced to wear a ridiculous mask, hiding her identity. Well, no need now. Belinda smiled and then, she dashed out the door.
Standing in front of the mall, she noticed many teenagers, young adults, and children entering. All dressed in costume. She smiled and began to skip inside. Desire in her eyes. The event called out to her. Tempting her to enter. Belinda would much rather work as the one doing the scaring. Since that was one of her many hobbies. Striking fear into people and laughing hysterically afterwards. As she entered the decked out mall, she giggled with anticipation. Her uncovered eye glowed with excitement. Oh what fun she shall have. She began to dart through the mall. Passing Spencers, Wet Seal, JC Penny's, Hot Topic, Zumiez, Barnes and Noble, Hollister. She was excited. She wanted to kinda dress in a scary costume now and pretend to scare people while they are out of the stores. Shrugging, the Mad Hatter continued to skip along, now humming 'This is Halloween' by Danny Elfman from the Nightmare before Christmas.
The young lady continued to skip along, a wide grin across her face. As she passed the food court, she noticed some halloween themed foods. She giggled at the blood burgers and french fingers. As she admired all the costumes, eating, one caught her eye. A man with purple hair and icy blue eyes was in the body suit of a panda. She giggled and ran toward him. Excitement in her eyes. "PANDAAAAAAA!" She attacked him with a playful hug, nuzzling her cheek into his soft fur. Looking up, she smiled happily. Then, she stopped. Belinda stared at the face, finding it familiar. "You know, Panda? You look awfully familiar. You remind me of the lead singer from the Death Dolls," she pointed out. She continued to hug and snuggle the panda, feeling his soft fur with her cheek. "Youu sooo soft, Pandaaa," she purred. Then, she began to sing one of the Death Doll's songs, soft and quietly. Her voice sweet and pretty.

Salem Panda Before the skeleton man could respond, Salem was suddenly in the death grip of a mad hatter-dressed girl. He was in slight shock for a moment, as it had happened rather quickly but shortly after he was laughing and happy again. Then she mentioned how he "resembled" the lead singer for the death dolls.
This broke him into a laugh that nearly brought him to tears. "Yes, that obnoxious Salem stole my look!~" he cried in between laughs. He was content to just joke around, so as to avoid the awkward fan moments where he began to feel like someone superior to them, which he was sure he wasn't.
After that, the girl began to sing. One of their songs. He was painfully reminded of the recent loss of a few members. Yes, his drug ridden life style had been a breaking point and spots remained open. Desperately in need of being filled. Her voice was beautiful, and he couldn't help but be drawn to it a little. And he felt that in some fantasy world he could have that voice for their female vocalist.

Belinda Jones Mad Hatteress Belinda cuddled into the sableye's soft fur suit. Smiling as she did so. She enjoyed the touch of the fur. Soft and gentle. She could just touch it all day. His suit reminded her of an enlarged teddy bear. She would take him home and cuddle with him at night like a child with her own teddy bear. She would if she could. The spiritomb nuzzled into the skin of the suit. After she pointed out his resemblance to the famous Death Doll lead singer, he burst into laughter. She pulled a little bit away to see his face. Joy forming on his face. A wide smile was upon her face as she watched him laugh hysterically. She watched crystal tears form at the corners of his eyes, a result to his laughing. She honestly didn't know that what she said was funny. But his laughter made her giggle. As he exclaimed that Salem, the Death Doll singer, stole his look. She poked his cheek as he laughed. Then, immediately, she pinched his flesh. Grabbing part of his cheek and pulling it a little from his face. Staring at him with a cute smile. "You and Salem look identical!" she exclaimed.
Belinda then released his flesh, staring at him. She smiled softly. "Maybe you are ALIENS! OR EVEN.....TWINS!!!" she shouted. Her eyes wide with wonder. The thought of twins reminded her of Xavier, her ghost brother. She was curious as to where he was. She hadn't seen him for a couple of hours. Oh well. Belinda returned her position to hugging the panda man, nuzzling her cheek into his fur. As the sableye's laughter died down, her voice continued to sing one of the famous Death Dolls songs. When she had heard the news of the band splitting up, she was a little depressed. She always fantasized singing with the band. Or in A band. Oh well. She pulled a little away once more, to stare into his eyes. He seemed calm now. The spiritomb smile and closed her eyes cutely. Poking his cheek playfully.

"The Laziest Lion" His 'costume', to many, looked quite ridiculous. He was dressed in his usual attire, for the most part. But, the eye catchers were the tall, white, fluffy rabbit ears on his head bent at the middle to aim at a somewhat downward angle, and the white, fluffy rabbit tail safety pinned to the back of his pants at his tail bone. Originally, he hadn't planned to dress up at all and was just going to stay on his bed watching the tv channel's lineup of horror movies, but just as that dull urge to participate in the holiday was starting to win over his sloth-like habits, his 'friends' called and tipped his decision making for him. They were at the mall on the other end of the call, trying to persuade and urge him to 'get his a** down there' and 'see all the cool decorations' that'd been put up. So, he quickly found what he could for a Halloween costume, the ears and tail of his sister's 'Playboy Bunny' costume, put them on and made his way to the mall, at his own pace of course.
"Well," he mumbled to himself after giving an impressed whistle, eyes going over the shop decorations, the webs, the spiders, the costumes, "at the least, it is a sight to see." He continued to walk over the scuffed up tile floor, making his way from one of the shops to leave his 'friends' and find something to snack on in the food quart. Really, if he was to be honest, his 'friends' were more like connections to get what he wanted or 'needed'. The Luxray was never quick to fully trust.
Demion perused the shop stands set around the middle seating area of the food quart, taking brief note of the odd and amused looks he was getting at his costume, as well the giggles and small finger pointing from the younger girls in the mall. His attention, for the most part, was on what he could snag off of one of the carts. It wasn't like he didn't have money on him, on the contrary, he had a decent amount, but he was far too stingy to pay for a snack.
'Ahaaa,' he thought to himself, walking by one of the stands casually and grabbing a bag of Sunchips carefully and walking just as casually on his marry way. He held the bag up once he was a decent distance away from the stand and eyed it almost like fresh meat, a victorious grin sliding across his lips. But, he only got as far as opening the bag and popping a chip into his mouth before he heard a loud shout about 'Salem', 'aliens' and 'twins', his eyes darting over and spotting a masked man, purple hair, and a girl in bright green. He took his time in making his way over to the small group, out of curiosity and lack of anything else better to do.
The Luxray paused at the side of the table, eyes glancing lazily at the three before stopping on the panda suited man, popping another chip into his mouth to chew and swallow before speaking. "So yooou're Salem," he joined in, pulling over one of the empty chairs from an unused table and sitting where he had been standing, "I haven't heard too much of your stuff, but it's not bad." He finished down another chip before he turned his attention briefly to the Spiritomb, looking at her dully with gold eyes and giving a mock impressed whistle. "Twins huh, well aren't you the sharpest tool in the shed," he commented casually, the sarcasm obvious.

Belinda Jones Mad Hatteress Belinda turned to see a luxray. His costume looked like normal clothes. But on his head was a head band. Attached to this headband were two, fluffy, white bunny ears. Her eyes trailed up his body, starting from his feet. So she can look at his outfit. When her eyes landed upon the rabbit ears, a small smile curved on her lips. A soft blush appeared on her cheekbones. Adding a hint of color to her pale complexion. The spiritomb stared at this costume of the luxray's. It wasn't very creative. And it was put together quite lazily. Belinda then heard him call the panda by his name. As he mentioned that he had heard a little of his music, the mad hatteress looked in the panda's direction. After all this time, she had been hanging around a celebrity?! And one of her favorites?! She felt stupid for not noticing that. Oh well. She wasn't the brightest bulb in the box. Then, she heard a metaphor relative to hers and sarcasm was obvious through his voice.
She released Salem and moved toward the luxray. Hands on her hips. She leaned forward slightly and looked up at him. She stuck out her bottom lip and stared at him with her single eyes. "I may not be very sharp, but I am a lot more sharp than the other tools in the shed!" she retorted with her signature pouty face. With her curled lip, glassy eyes, and hands on her hip. Belinda returned to Salem and cuddled into his chest. "I didn't know you were actually Salem. I see a lot of people who look just like you and are just copy cats. So that's how I was unable to tell," she admitted to him.

Skeleton Cubone Before Lonian could really give any response to the sableye's offer, the little rock star was pounced by a young girl in a cute mad hatter type costume. The cubone just gave a light awkward laugh, feeling like his time in this conversation had just been cut. But he took a seat anyway, namely the one that he had earlier knocked over. He was now just sitting and watching what took place. It went from the rock star being unnoticed into the girl switching up to a fan girlish clinging.
He watched with sympathy as the sableye's quiet meal had been interrupted and couldn't help but think that it was all some how his fault, bringing attention to the male by tripping over a chair at his table. Though, it likely wasn't his fault and would have happened anyway. He laid his hand on the table where he sat, still watching as the girl went from clinging to fussing at the newest person to recognize Salem, and then back to clinging again. The brunette lightly tapped his fingernails against the table, quietly enough to go unheard behind the sounds of their conversation.
When his stomach began to grumble though he was soon reminded of the offer to share in Salem's meal, and was quite tempted to accept that offer. Food didn't come easy for the homeless cubone and a free offer for some sounded rather nice right about now. But still it was embarrassing to just ravage the plate for them. So he interjected into their conversation, "Hate to interrupt, but if the offers still on the table I would love to snag some of your fries." he said with a laugh, making an inquiry as to whether or not it was still fine for him to do such, even though the offer had been interrupted by a fan.

Salem Panda Salem felt a bit whirl winded by all the action going on around him. It was actually starting to stress him out, but of course his party-time attitude always prevailed and he was fine within a few moments of just sitting there. He looked at the luxray, raising an eyebrow and grinning, "Just okay? You obviously haven't heard my stuff then!" he said and let out a laugh. The one thing he felt he could be fully confident about was his music. He know took a moment to try to peel the spiritbomb off of him, her grip was like death.
Once he had her at arms length he gave a smile to her as well, "Have seat?" he said motioning to a chair, "I'm sure it's more comfortable than clinging onto me," he laughed again. The sableye ran a hand back through his mohawk and returned his gaze to the cubone from earlier. He seemed a bit quiet in all this.
Salem scooted the remains of his food across the table to him. "Enjoy, scraps from the greatest, apparently," he said giving a very toothy grin of artificially sharpened teeth. Salem was much better in larger groups, but times slightly more intimate like this made him nervous....he was unsure of what to say and just smiled a lot.

Belinda Jones Mad Hatteress Belinda giggled cutely as she continued to cuddle and snuggle the rockstar panda. She felt so honored to be in the presence of a remarkable musician. His music was art. The lyrics were amazing. Some touched her soul. She felt as if she was in front of a God. She just had to hug him and embrace him. A payment for his beautiful music. She continued to embrace him tightly. Her grip deadly. More dangerous than the embrace of a boa constrictor. As Salem struggled to remove her from his body, she continued to hook onto him. Then, his hands gripped onto her wrists. Able to control them and refrain from them gripping onto him. Belinda heard him offer her a seat and she immediately leaped out of his lap and sat in the chair. His bony figure felt slightly uncomfortable as she sat on him. The padding inside did nothing to cushion his boniness. But sitting beside him was a bit better. She sat in the chair. Her eyes wide and sparkling with wonder and admiration.
This man...she had a celebrity crush on for a long time. She would remember her brother teasing and taunting her about her 'love' for the Death Doll man. She was over her crush on him. But she still adored him. Turning to the boring luxray, she scowled. "You obviously don't know great music!!!!" she exclaimed. Turning to Salem she gave her cute smile. And her eyes returned to their glistening state. She heard him talk to the skeleton boy and her attention turned to him. She noticed all the paint on his body and the skull mask strapped to his head. She smiled. Belinda gave him a short cute wave and then turned to Salem. You could call her a crazed fan girl. However, she liked this boy before she knew who he was. He was fun.

"The Laziest Lion" "Hmm, I guess I'll look into it more," he managed to reply, giving a small, amused smile at the Sableye's confidence. It was true, what he'd heard of the band really wasn't half bad, so looking into it more might not have been such a bad idea. He let his attention wander to the painted Cubone, eyebrow's lifting a little at how well the skeleton painted on his skin resembled the model skeleton in one of his previous classes, now that he'd had a better look at it, though that was about the only thing he could recall from that particular class, science was far from his best subject, if he even had such a thing as a 'best subject'. Before he could get too absorbed in the paint, his attention was pulled back to the girl, popping in another chip as his expression went back to dull.
After swallowing his chip he raised his palm near his mouth, doing a fake yawn to indicate that he found her outbursts to be rather boring, his three rings plenty visible just above the end of his long, black sleeve. "I'm amazed you can give your food away so easily," he spoke again after a moment's observation of the passing of food, ignoring the Spiritomb otherwise, "I can never give mine up." The Luxray chewed and swallowed down another chip, rubbing his index finger and thumb together just over the opening of the back to rid himself of a few of the crumbs before reaching for another.
Demion's eyes left the group briefly to observe the mall's decorations a bit more from his new angle, tapping the end of his blue converse quietly against the tile floor to music echoing from one of the nearby shops. 'I'll admit it, I'm impressed,' he thought to himself, eyes glancing around before catching sight of a woman dressed as Morrigan from the Dark Stalkers game he frequented, raising an eyebrow before returning his attention to his new companions.

Skeleton Cubone Lonian watched quietly from the seat across from the tiny rock star as Salem tried to pry the fan girl off of him and talk her into sitting down in a chair. The purple haired panda looked pretty comfortable as far as the cubone could tell, considering that he was wearing a huge furry suit - the kind that people love to run up and hug, but it probably would be more comfortable for Salem if the girl took a seat beside him instead of on him (regardless of the fact that she was a tiny little thing).
Once it seemed that he had caught the sableye's attention though, his once jolly demeanor turned down in a frown. "Eh..never mind." he said in response to the cocky statement. Honestly, before when he'd seen the tiny man perform and thought about him (as people generally do with famous people) he hadn't pictured the sableye as being a very confident guy. He seemed at least mildly self conscious at best, but then again Lonian was far from being a professional at reading people so even he had to be wrong sometimes. He'd just never pictured Salem calling food scraps, let alone scraps of the greatest, while offering to share them.
But before the cubone's distaste for the cocky statement could be taken too rudely he tried to make it seem less like distaste and more like a loss of appetite, "Thanks though." he finished, leaning back in his seat. He had glanced at the food, and could still feel the hunger for it in his gut but pride kept him away from the tempting offered meal. A homeless man with pride, how silly it seemed, but none of them knew that he was homeless and they never had to find out. Well, he never really tried to hide it, never being ashamed of himself, but that didn't mean that he pranced about shouting it out to the world.
Before long though he'd caught eyes on his body, which normally would pull a joke out of him about how they should just blatantly hit on him instead, but today he remember that he was wearing his very own masterpiece on his skin. "Do you like it?" he asked with a friendly smile that was hidden behind the long jaw of the skull like mask over his face. "I did it myself. I'm no professional, but I do like doing it." he finished, looking down at his own painted body.

Belinda Jones Mad Hatteress Belinda looked to the cubone, brushing off Salem's cocky statement. Her eyes returned Salem with starstruck eyes. Or...eye. She was marveling at his awesomeness and his appearance. The spiritomb felt dumb for not recognizing him as the famous rock star in the first place. She shrugged it off and just sat there. Continuing to stare at her idol. She had honored him and loved him when she was younger. Imagining him as her boyfriend at times. Belinda remembered her brother teasing her and taunting her about her mad crush on him. But now, her crush had weakened to just a celebrity fondness. She felt so honored to be in his presence. And to think she was playing tag / hide 'n' seek with him and Shinny poo. The lolita kicked her feet repeatedly in a childish motion. Her small hands clenched to the seat. Watching Salem devour his food bit by bit.
Belinda glanced over to the Cubone, staring at the body paint on his body once again. She liked his costume. It was pretty cool. It was like art. Pretty art. The spiritomb heard him ask if she liked the painting across his torso, she nodded. "Yeah! It's pretty awesome," she complimented. Hearing him finish, she giggle. "I like it!!!" she announced to him. She smiled and stuck her tongue out at him playfully. She wished she could see the skeleton man's face. But she did see his pretty jade green eyes beneath the skull. Belinda turned to the Luxray and stared up at him. Then, a wide grin appeared on her face. "BUNNY!" she exclaimed before attacking him in a hug. Despite the laziness and the lack of effort placed in his costume, she thought it was kinda cute. Her grip was slightly loose. Not deadly like her hugs for Salem.
Releasing the Luxray, she attacked the cubone with a hug. "SKELETON!" She felt like hugging people. Her arms wrapped loosely around his neck, being careful not to ruin the paint on his body. She giggled and continued to hug her companions.
