I've never seen the show but i heard it was something about fairies or magical girls?

Yay! Another show summary question!
Yes, it is about fairies.
The show is basically about three magical schools. One for Fairies consisting of only girls, one for Knights consisting of only guys, and one for witches who are of girls and guys, but the witches are evil and they hate fairies with a passion.
These three schools are the base of all magical beings on this show and they must try and protect it with their powers by keeping it hidden from the human world.
