F'ren paced the beach. He was supposed to meet an older Greenrider here for searching for those sharding plants again. "Toulonth please get out of the water, he'll be here soon and we're going to need to get flying, i want to get these leathers back on you but you have to be dry" "mine, the water is nice, and it's so warm, but i will get out and dry off" she huffed, then got out and rolled on the sands.
"Toulonth! now i'm going to have to make sure you don't have sand under your leathers!" he said, exasperated at her, however he couldn't help but chuckle at her rolling, "you look silly waving your legs in the air like that!" he laughed

As if on cue, the other rider pair appeared overhead straight out of Between, in time to witness the spectacle down below with the sand-covered Sr. Weyrling. Looks as if she is having some fun, Laith mused, angling in for a landing nearby.
And so she is. Of course, this means it may be a while now before we can get going, S'koi added. Hopefully too much time wouldn't be lost in the drying and cleaning off of the other green.
The multi-hued green landed lightly upon the sandy beach, careful not to kick up any sand at the pair with her long wings. "You are Weyrling F'ren, yes?" the greenrider greeted with a polite smile, disembarking smoothly from his dragon's back. "It is a pleasure to meet you, as well as Yours."

F'ren snapped his head up as the familiar boom of a Dragon appearing sounded above him, shading his eyes against the sun he followed the greenrider to the ground. "Toulonth, get up you silly thing" he laughed again as she waved her forelegs in the air as a greeting to the newly arrived green.
"Yes, i'm F'ren" he said, surprised at how young the other rider was, "you're about my age!" he said surprised, "nice to meet you, this is Toulonth, she...she wanted a swim first" he said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Mine, i am dry and i no longer itch" she told him, getting up and shaking her bulk free of the sand "i think i got most of it off" she said, rumbling a greeting to her fellow dragon.

"We are about a Turn apart if memory serves correct," the greenrider replied. He remembered this boy being a Candidate at the same time that he had been, although clearly the recognition wasn't returned. Not entirely surprising though. Farellen had always had rather poor memory from what he remembered of the younger boy. "My name is S'koi, and this is Laith." Said green nodded in greeting both to F'ren and to the younger green who had just greeted her. "When you and Yours are ready, we shall depart." When it came to Mystweed hunting, it was best not to let too much of the day get away from you.

"ok" he replied simply, moving to brush any remaining sand away from where he was going to put the leathers back onto Toulonth. "hello Laith" he said after hearing the older greens name "any idea where to start looking?" he asked while fastening the leathers.
After a few minutes he was done and Toulonth was sand free and ready. "we're ready S'koi" he smiled, patting his dragon on the neck gently.

"There's an area not too far from here that we are to search today," the greenrider replied, watching as their partner for today brushed the sand off of his green's hide. Once F'ren began refitting the leathers, S'koi climbed silently back up onto he dragons back to wait patiently as the other finished and climbed into position himself. Once the younger teen had announced that he was ready, he nodded and took back off for the air with Laith. Once Toulonth and Hers had joined them, they began flying toward their destination.
Mine? Do you mind if we go for a swim after the search is done for the day? she asked, glancing over briefly at the two they were flying with. A nice swim sounded quite relaxing after how busy they had all been recently.
Why would I mind? he asked with a small smile, rubbing his dragon's neck affectionately as they flew. That sounds like a lovely idea. You more than deserve the break.
You as well you know.

F'ren climbed aboard Toulonth and told her to follow the older pair. He smiled and just enjoyed the flight, it never got old, every time he was up on the back of the lovely Green he felt the same exhiliration nothing could compare to being up aboard a dragon, the wind in his face.
"Mine, what does the plant look like again?" she asked, more to keep his mind on the task, she knew he enjoyed being up here with her, which was why she liked to fly him all over. The plant finding however wasn't easy, so maybe they'd be out longer.

It did not take very long for them to reach their destination, and once they had the greenriders landed with Theirs in a clearing that was just big enough to hold the two dragons. As usual, Laith took off again once Hers had dismounted so that she could search for the plant from above. "Best of luck then, F'ren." he said with a small smile to the other greenrider before looking around to begin his own hunt for Mystweed. The Weyrs needed much more than what they had found thus far.

Landing, F'ren leapt off Toulonth, letting her fly up beside the other Green, "Good idea letting the dragons search from above" he called, "i'll go this way and search, it doesn't look trampled" and he walked off in the opposite direction, hoping to find what they were looking for. Privately though he was annoyed that they had to search at all, Trine obviously didn't need it, so why couldn't Benden look for it themselves but he'd never admit that, not even to his dragon.

"It is best to have all bases covered," he replied with a faint smile as he continued to search. He and Laith had been fortunate in locating the elusive plant once before, and he hoped that today their success might be repeated.
Laith flew slowly over the tree tops, scanning the ground down below critically as she passed. The plant was easiest to find from ground level, but there was still a chance to be able to spot it from up above as well. If one was fortunate.

F'ren searched, he gently pulled other grasses and plants out of the way while he looked, here and there he thought he spotted one but it hadn't been the right one, but .. there seemed to be a likely plant just a few meters away so he carefully made his way over to it.

The four of them searched for quite a long while, but thus far no one seemed to be having any luck in finding the plant today. "If you are ready, F'ren, perhaps it may be best for us to move to a new clearing," he suggested, giving their area one last sweep about with his eyes. It seemed that this spot was a dud, and neither Laith nor Toulonth sounded as if they were having much better luck in their aerial search.

F'ren sighed, "I agree, there's not much here at all, not even any decent herbs to gather" he commented, waving up to Toulonth, gesturing her down. He cast his gaze over a few more plants while he waited for the Dragons to land.

"Perhaps the next area will have better luck," S'koi said hopefully, walking toward his green as she landed. The two of them climbed atop of their partners and took off to continue the search.
But alas, after a whole day of searching they yielded no success. It seemed that for today it was not meant to be.
