The February 2010 issue of Bessatsu Margaret (released in January 2010), announced that a live-action film adaptation of the series has been green-lit, with more information coming in the March issue of the magazine, along with a message from the author about the news.[42] Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura starred in the film, released in Japanese theatres on September 25, 2010 and directed by Naoto Kumazawa.
