Forgive my asking an obvious question, but why is it that we continuously see the same kinds of people who win arena play the "Oh you're just jealous" card? It looks bad, no matter how good you are or how you placed.
i mean, this is ridiculous. Say, for example, (and please forgive my using you as an example) Renkon places and i say "Well, this could have been made with better quality, even though i don't know what items you should use. I honestly rated this a (3 or 4) during the voting period." When it comes to on-the-spot comments, i am bad with critiques, but try to be honest without being a total asshat. But does Ren really have the right to use the tactic of "ur jes jellis" because of my own avatar or any other reason?
The practice is getting old, tiring, and annoying to counter. Anyone using any variation of "you're just jealous that i placed and you didn't" deserves a 1, in my book.

The "you're just jealous" card does seem to get used more often them I remember it. I normally tack that up to the sore winner group. If you won, great. As I constantly tell people, "you didn't get a perfect 5.0 so it is obvious people didn't like you during the voting. Do you honestly expect everyone to bow down and kiss your pixel feet just because you won?"
There are some cases that it can honestly be used, I'm sure. I don't have one on the top of my head at the moment, but I'm pretty sure there have been cases for it.
I think the main problem is the impersonal nature of the internet. You don't know the person, you never will and it is doubtful you will ever meet them so it is acceptable to be rude, idiotic and ignorant boobs. Using the jealous card is childish beyond measure and shouldn't be used at all, not matter your age, period.

there will always be people who behave in ways that we don't like and can't understand why they think it is ok to behave that way. it is impossible to teach them all or convince them all to behave more to your approval , so once you've said your peace on it try not to worry about it because you've done all you could.
especially with the anonymous and immature on the internet.

Tiny Stone Coatl there will always be people who behave in ways that we don't like and can't understand why they think it is ok to behave that way. it is impossible to teach them all or convince them all to behave more to your approval , so once you've said your peace on it try not to worry about it because you've done all you could. especially with the anonymous and immature on the internet. it would be nice if the parents of these kids started being parents.

I'm 15 and my parents didnt try with me at all, so I got a bit rebellious but my aunt has me now, and she has taught me so much and guided me well. and ew u know what.. some of these "kids" on here might just be really immature grown ups.. its weird.. you never know who is behind the avatar REALLY.... so just say your peace, hope that they've heard you out and considered your perspective, and then ignore them if you have to and move on. if anyone gives you any trouble I will back you up. smile
