t h e S t o r y Set in a post-apocalyptic society three hundred years in the future, our world, Aria, has struck back at us. It began with the extensive use of natural resources, added waste, and overall bad-maintenance of Aria. Eventually, scientists and governments began to see a trend in the worsening conditions of the world. Extensive genetic engineering on trees first began in the United States, but was soon publicized enough that it gained funding to be moved and conducted at a research facility (made specifically for ET's aka. Engineered Trees) on Earth's moon. The reason? These ET's were capable of growing in harsh, arid conditions.
Eventually, the trees became conscious and spread to Earth in a fiery holocaust, wiping out most of modern civilization and fragmenting the moon. That was two-hundred years ago, a day we call Raeign. Our world, these days, is covered mostly by Forest, filled with living trees that, if you're human, are potentially very dangerous. The trees that were able to gain consciences are called Zruids, tree-like beings that inhabit Aria and live deep in the forest, protecting it from harm.
Our story begins here, in Aeriale, considered the "neutral city", a buffer and a bride, between the Forest and the militaristic nation, Ragna. We've come far from Raeign, when our modern buildings... Skyscrapers, cars, were destroyed. Beginning from the ground up, Aeriale is a city that has simple things that run on the power we can get from nature (aka. water, manual labor). Whereas the people of Aeriale mostly co-exist peacefully with the Forest, Ragna (being rather industrialized and technical) wants to destroy it in order to return the world to the way it was before the trees invaded. In order to do so, Ragna must locate a device called Geo.MET, a sort of band from before the world was taken over, that could be used to locate and activate E.S.T.O.C. (Environmental Defragmentation System), a powerful weapon with the ability to wipe out the Forest and restore human control over the world.
But, it's been lost for decades...
We all must choose which side we're on... Whether we fight for peace, or for the restoration of "humanity". The choice, ultimately, is your own...

t h e I n f o Aeriale, the neutral city/bridge between the Forest and Ragna, was erected using old broken down buildings and by making transportation systems using mostly water power. Lights using oil can be seen hanging about. Although there may be a modern-feel to it, people run on a give and take service to one another, not using money, but instead, trading with one another for things. People are mostly friendly, and there is a certain feeling of family here.
Ragna, to the South, is in the midst of the desert. In order to get there, one must take a train or ride by military machine. It is completely industrialized and runs on technology from the old days, along with a lot of coal and fire. The air there is so polluted and foul, that one must wear a mask whenever outdoors. It is also completely military-based, and houses equipment, as well as manufactures it.
The Forest, to the North is living and is slightly dangerous to humans. You must cross a bridge to get over to it, as it is separated from the city by a long drop and a river below. Although Aeriale co-exists peacefully with it, the Forest doesn't appreciate intruders, especially those beings that are out to destroy it.
Lastly. Human beings may choose to be "enhanced". Basically they borrow power from the trees in the Forest. The Forest chooses who it will enhance, and who it will kill. If you are enhanced, your hair turns a silvery color and you are much stronger, faster, and can even jump higher than before. However, there is a down side. Too much use of the power, and the tree will begin to eat away at you. The more you use, the faster it takes over you until you eventually become a tree yourself (aka. dying).
