Salma was a little more than just excited that the cheetah and leopard found a place. Well, a possible place, but it was all the more exciting that this adventure might start to come to an end. At least, this part of the adventure.
The real question is...would Tete want to stay? Despite how she felt mentally, she wished that he would. It'd be kind of lonely without him, since she had gotten used to company other than that of a goddess.
"Tete!" she called out, not quite certains as to his exact location. He'd be around here somewhere, she just had to find him. Somehow. Her tracking skills still fell a little short.

Tete had been watching things come together for Salma, being supportive and helpful where he could but the closer they came to making a home, the more he thought about where he'd come from-- and the less decisive he seemed to be around what he was doing. Making things happen was much more exciting than waiting for them to happen on their own but part of him still felt guilty for leaving his family, particularly his father. He was out for a walk, investigating the area they were currently in and appreciating just how different it was from the Pridelands.. and then he heard his name. He glanced around, spotting Salma nearby and heading her way.
"Hey."

She was very excited, as how she normally tried to be stoic and 'adult', but this was something she just quite couldn't help. "Hey, they might have found a place!" She bounced over to him, really showing her age. She wasn't in a rush to grow up, but over the course of losing her mother before she left the Jini-msemi, she had forced herself to grow up. Now, with Tete and the others around, it was nice to not feel so...forced.
Maybe he would be excited too? Maybe not as much as she was...since this was more her adventure-idea than his. But...
"Whew," she paused to catch her breath.

His ears perked up when she made her happy announcement but the news did not surprise him- what did surprise him was how positively ecstatic she was. This was definitely the right way for her to go, that was obvious.
"That's great!" he said, smiling, "When are you going to check it out?"
There couldn't be much left except taking one good look around before deciding this way it. Everything was coming together very quickly.

"Me?" she asked, looking a little surprised. A grin grew on her face quickly after, though. "Not just me, silly, you've got to come too!" They've been looking together, haven't they? Things got rough, but they stuck together. Why not keep that going?
She kind of wished she was tall enough to tug him by his ear, but she was kinda small, like how her mom was. Sigh. Oh well. Maybe she could just drag him by his tail if he resisted a bit. She didn't want to finish this alone. Even with the other three, it was still nice to have another lion around.

"Right, right, of course," he said, chuckling at her enthusiasm and insistence, "Where is it, then? Is this the last thing before we start saying it's official or what?"
The group was so small but it would grow, especially if they really had someone for everybody to go. And it seemed like they had it now.

"It's not too far off," she said motioning towards the mountains that laid before them. Well, they were sort of in the mountains, but only near the base of them. "It's not far, and not far up there, either." Which made her happy. Easy to locate without being vulnerable. She knew of dangers in the world, she had just never crossed paths with them herself.
She was feeling like dragging him, but if she started walking, maybe he'd start following. "A place to call home! Much better than all this wandering." She had grown tired off it after a while. Getting settled would hopefully make everything easier, too.

He looked up the mountains where she motioned, squinting thoughtfully. It was a good place and easy to find from a distance, mountains were hard not to notice. It'd be easy to find when word spread about them. Or traveling to and from..
"Let's go see it, then," he said, following her when she moved as she hoped. He had to nod when she said how much better it was than wandering, but he was always a pride lion. This adventuring made for a nice change but it wasn't supposed to be permanent.

She hummed a bit as she walked, happy. This area was a bit alike, and yet different, then where she grew up. Trees and plants everywhere, but the dank smell of mud, and constant feeling of being wet was absent.
"Maybe having a home base will make hunting easier, too," she rambled, feeling like she should talk a bit while they walked. She didn't like walking in silence. Weren't they over that? "And with Edea, Ndege, and Ayumi to help hunt..." Mmm, they shouldn't have to go hungry anymore!

"It'll certainly be easier for us, and as long as they all work well in a group I don't see why it wouldn't be for them, either," he agreed, thinking about the trouble he'd had adjusting to working alone or just the two of them for hunting. It was definitely easier for him in a group, but he'd been at it a while.
"I don't think there'll be a problem, though."

"I hope not." Man, to have a full stomach, almost all the time! That would be exciting. She thought about it more, and that meant that silence would grow between the two of them. Still...
"Oh!" They were starting to reach the spot that the two females had shown her. She brightened up again. "I'm thinking this might be a good place to start. It's not really open, but there's enough room to mingle, and hopefully everyone can find a good place to sleep..." Dens, however, would be short, but Salma wasn't really used to sleeping in them anyway. The protection of trees, alive or dead, did a lot to ward off the weather.
Ferns dotted along under the trees, and bits of vine grew between the tops of them. Not many, but it gave it a more 'wild' touch than even Salma was used to. She could tell that there wasn't too much predators here. It seemed quiet. Perfect.

Tete walked along silently until they reached the spot he assumed would be the central area for the pride. It was very different from the Pridelands, he thought to himself as he drifted away from Salma to look around a bit- staying within earshot, of course.
"I think it's sheltered enough even if you didn't find a nice normal kind of den, you'd have something," he said, circling back around some trees so he could see Salma again. He did have a good feeling about this place.
"Do you know how far it is to water?" he asked curiously, looking around.

She watched him walk around, but let her own eyes wander. She caught a glimpse of the blue leopard, Edea, lingering around the trees. Maybe they'd be able to find a better spot later, but here would be a great beginning.
"Oh, right. There's a stream just over that way," she nodded. "Enough for drinking, though a river source for it will be a little more north..." gesturing in the general area. They'd find it soon enough, if the leopards hadn't found it already and hadn't mentioned it to her yet.
She waited a bit, trying not to look at him too much. Pressure and whatnot. "So....what do you think?"

He looked off where Salma indicated there was water, and looked north when she mentioned the river.. that was pretty much the only thing he could think of asking about it. Otherwise it seemed perfect. The others would have taken a good enough look around to know if it was claimed but he just knew it wasn't.. so this was it.
"It's perfect," he said, looking at Salma and smiling.

She beamed up at him. "I'm glad," she said, the words escaping her mouth before she realized it. Clamming up, she wondered...would she have the guts to ask? She was usually a little upfront, but the tightness in her chest was conflicting her mind. Stupid body.
"So..." She breathed, deciding the hell with it. She's going to be upfront. None of this beating around the bush crap that she's seen other girls do.
"Are you going to stay here?"
