He loved the night.
His coat was as black as black could be. His fur did not shine as brightly as the average coat did, although he did not appear sickly. He blended almost perfectly with the darkness of night and if it wasn't for the markings on his face, he could have been practically invisible. The red marks on his face, however, proved to be useful. He was, quite frankly, very intimidating.
Unlike his brother, Far Cry, who was as just as foul as he, though by far braver, despite appearing cold and sad, he appeared far more vicious, which was often enough to scare off others. He was not the type to physically fight with others, as his bark tended to be worse than his bite, unless he was completely confident that he could not lose. He was almost down right vile, taking what he wanted, harming those that he could, and generally just being an a**. It was just his way, and he wouldn't have it any other if he had something to say about it, unless he were being dominated. It was rare that he would allow this from just anyone, unless he were certain he would benefit, or he was absolutely terrified to the point that he couldn't disobey.
Of course, this wouldn't come for some time yet. As of now, he was merely haunting the woods of Telk, doing as he wished. He was particularly enjoying this evening, what with the chill of the autumn breeze and the pale moon high, overhead, casting shadows across the earth.

Well, Tuli wasn't exactly intimidating. Confusing was a better word. Confusing and unreadable. The markings all over his face blacked out his expression and the marks on his chest made him look eternally puffed out. His legs looked fatter than they were, until he ran, leaving streaks of red in the air behind him. He too was stalking in Telk, nose to the ground, eyes flashing slightly against his grim demeanor and black face. Picking was getting harder and harder...the fat rodents were already starting to vanish and the thin ones, hardly worth the effort to catch, were becoming crafty with their foraging. He was hoping tonight to catch one of those ruddy bats or maybe even a sleeping pheasant, but no such luck... He paused, eying a small track through the brambles of leaves. He followed it, going to a large hole in the ground with shelled acrons around it. Chipmunk! So, he began to dig. He pawed at the hole, making it wider, wider, putting his maw in...he sniffed. Oh, it was inside alright. He dug faster, his belly rumbling. With this many nuts, the beast would have to be at its fattest, maybe even getting a head start on hibernating! He powered through the easy soil, snapping his jaws just slow enough to miss the streak of fur as it bolted out fearfully into the night. He gave chase, of course. He dove as easily as it did through the nettles and long grass, over rocks and across logs. Fat bugger was damn fast! But the chipmunk made a mistake. It started to go up a tree, and that was where it would lose the race. Its weight made vertical climb much slower and Tuli was fast at thinking. He leaped onto his back legs and snapped the chubby thing by the tail from the trunk. He slammed it to the ground a few times, then shook his head wildly. As he did, it flew through the air and the trees, slamming lifelessly into Heresy's side and dropping like a rock.

He had to stifle a yelp as some unknown object slammed into his side. It smarted, certainly, but he knew almost right away that it didn't do any real damage, other than a possible bruise. He twirled gracefully on his paws, rounding on the object. How likely was it that a chipmunk, a rather plump one, would suddenly fly into his side. A dead one, at that?
Well, he really didn't think twice about it. A free meal was a free meal and he snapped it up in his slavering jaws faster than the eye could blink, not caring too terribly much just where it came from. Finders keepers and all that jazz. Plus, now the jet black wolf didn't really have to hunt.
He was, however, on alert. He shifted silently beneath the sweeping shadows of a tall poplar, his ears flattened and his hackles ever so slightly lifting. Someone or something was nearby. It wouldn't take him long to catch sight of the offender, as he was so brightly colored. Half of his face appeared to be missing and the bright splotches of color were almost a startlingly stark contrast against the night.

Tuli had sniffed for a few moments, finding the blood of the fat blighter. Impact? No...the earth was too soft to break skin like that. He was almost walking into the night wolf before he even saw him and it made him jump back in surprise.
This new wolf smelt of blood! His chipmunk's blood! He raised his hackles slightly, but sat down and stared off his red and black muzzle at the other. "My good sir, it seems you have eaten my kill." he flicked his tail. "Such rudeness. You should apologize and find me a new one at once." he almost ordered, threatening with his fangs.

The black pelted wolf grinned wickedly as the odd creature, a fellow wolf, approached and spoke. Rather eloquently at that, but fancy words and raised hackles weren't near enough to get him to back down. He cackled, his fur bristling and black eyes, nearly invisible against his fur, flashing in the light of the moon.
"I owe you?"
Another laugh and a wry grin, which across his red marked face caused him to appear demonic. Oh, this was rich. Absolutely rich. It was laughable.
"It seeeeeems that you're mistaken, brighty. You were the one that smacked my side with the damned chipmunk. A trade is a trade, in my eyes. You hit me, I ate it."

He narrowed his eyes and padded forwards, sitting before the other haughtly and narrowing his eyes. "Its no problem, really, then. If its a fair trade." His maw pulled into a grin and he panted. "I'm Tuli. Yourself?"
He waved his tail in a friendly manner, but it looked like he was getting ready to kill a rabbit , the way he stared.
