Started over MSN (10/19): She walked through the thick fog that seemed to cover the land, she had her nose to the ground. She was looking for a bit of nightshade but without the moonlight and the addition of the fog it seemed she couldnt find the herb she needed Her paws were aching, she'd been standing here all night, staring into the sky, hoping beyond all hope that the moon would show her bright face. Sighing lightly she eased her tired frame to the ground, her eyes still cast to the sky. Lately the sun and moon had been her only company, but even now she was alone...The scent of another quickly caught her attention, with a faint chant drawn out on the nights air, an orb began to glow not to far from the dark lioness's face her eyes flicked around until she spotted what seemed to be a lioness of patch work. The orb of light caught Sally's attention immediately. With the darkness blanketing her, the orb stuck out like a sore spot. But it wasn't so much as the ob that now focused her attention. There was a dark colored lioness basking in the orb's light, this was what caught her attention. With a small, shy smile coming to her features Sally stood slowly. "Good evening..." She said sweetlyMonk eyed the patch work lioness from under the brim of her hat, she flicked her tail before she nodded her head giving a faint smile. "'Lo." She said with a smirk, sweetness wasnt something she was generally used to. Wrapping her tail about her back legs she eyed the lioness for a moment, deciding what to do next. "May I ask what it is you were searching for just a moment ago?" She had thought she had heard some soft rustling but she had disreagarded it earlier as the wind stirring up some leaves. It was that time of the year... the perfect time. Haloween.

"Nightshade." She replied quickly, this was her favorite time of the year, something about this moon's cycle made her magic seemingly stronger.
"Damn fog and moonless night though seems to be keeping it hidden."She flicked her tail in an annoyed fashion. A witch needed her herbs for potions and spell casting..though what she needed was an aid. She now eyed the lioness before her..Maybe.

"Nightshade.....Nightshade...." She said to herself, going through her memories of plants and whatnot that she had seen the doctor use... "Oh! That's right!" She said with a soft smile. "Perhaps it is nearer to the trees? I can't say I have come across any lately, as I've just recently come from the desert..." She said mumbling to herself a bit. "Shall I help you look?"

"Aid would be..acceptable." she said almost relucantly, usually witches did not use the aid of those without some sort of gift, but she'd yet to meet anyone who seemed to have it.
But she would make due, maybe this lioness could be taught she thought with a nod. Yes, she could teach her!

Sally's eyes brightened as the lioness accepted her offer. Nodding her head she started towards the tree line. The company was more then welcome to her, whether the companion liked being around ehr or not. She had been so lonely for so long...
Her step was lighter, almost like she wanted to dance. Her eyes barely scanned the ground, but she occasionally stole glances at the other lioness... and sometimes the ground.

Monk couldnt help but smirk lightly before she followed after the lioness, her excitment seemed to pulse in the air as she flicked her tail, the breeze catching the auburn hair that had gotten loose from her braid.
"Are you well taught in herbs?" she asked curiously.

Sally paused long enough for the other lioness to be walking beside her. "I would not say, well taught, per say, but I am familiar with a few herbs. Nightshade is one of them." She added a smile and looked beside her. "I'm Sally... by the way." She wasn't sure if the lioness cared or not... but why not at least -try- to make a friend?
Her thoughts getting the best of her, Sally thought of the men that had constantly let her down. The doctor... Jack... practically any man she met was not the gentleman they claimed to be. Jack had loved her once but the idea of Christams had consumed him and he had disappeared, on his continuous journey to find the North Pole and Santa's house...

"Amethyst Monkshood.." She replied with a court nod of her head, "Though usually I go by Monk." She felt the same about the males that had been in her life, either they wanted to use her for their own use, or they were scared of what she was capable of.
"Well, would you like to learn more?" Monk asked, she still kept her books on herbs and their uses as well as her spell book and potion too.

Sally smiled, nodding quickly... perhaps to quickly for her head flopped to one side. The stitching had come loose. "Oh my..." She sighed casting a glance towards Monk. "I do apologize, I had nearly forgotten that the stitching was wearing thin there. Rocks sure do a number on my bindings..." Sitting down she scrambled around trying to find her needle and a bit of thread from her dress, it is rather difficult when you are looking at everything sideways. Gently she pulled the needle through the individual pieces with one paw while with the other she tilted her head back into place. In a matter of moments she had her neck sewed back together, her needle replaced where she kept it and a smile gracing her features. "Sorry about that. Now what was it you had asked? Oh yes! I would very much enjoy learning more! It would be ever so helpful."

A smirk twitched at her muzzle quickly before it turned into a smile. "Well that was certainly interesting.." She commented with a nod of her head.
"Well then, you shall become my apprentice." Monk said, without really asking but more of making a statement of it.
Suddenly, her senses started to twitch at the feeling of someone darker near by.."Someone is near..." she said with a flick of her tail.

Shrugging Saly smiled, "It happens quite regularly.... it's a rather pain when I lose my needle." She was about to say more about being an apprentice but she stopped when she too sensed someone near. Closing her mouth she cautiously stepped coser to Monk. It was times like this that she liked the company and hated being alone. She wasn't quite sure which direction the being was coming from, but they were definitely powerful... "Monk... should we leave?" She asked in a small voice.

Her tail flicked around Sally's lightly before she flicked an ear back, "No." She said quickly, she waited until the other came into veiw.
The dark mage stepped through the shadows, the light from the orb that continued to be near Monk caused his eyes to gleam. He spoke of a potion to aid in breeding, more of promised but they would have to trade something just as important.
Monk shifted a look at Sally, "Well..what do you think?"

Sally blushed crimson at the suddeness of the question but she nodded. "Y-Yes.... I want the potion." She said quietly, yet loud enough for both Monk to hear and the mage. She couldn't count the number of times she had wished Jack would have at least left her with a child of their own to remember him by. A child would have kept her company... Now a child was being offered.
Looking to Monk, her eyes showing her heart's desire, she asked, "What do we give in return?"

With a nod, she knew that she could at least further her craft with cubs of her own. She nodded head at Sally before she left the question of what they would offer to the mage, now she turned and faced him.
Serious as death, she spoke. "My sight." She said. "I will trade you the gift of cubs for my gift of sight." She looked to Sally now, they would definately be tied together now.

Sight wasn't something Sally could fix with a needle and some thread. With her heart in her throat she nodded once and squeaked out, "Her sight." Closing her eyes tightly to clear her mind she let out a small sigh. She was a little more than an apprentice to Monk now, they would be tied together with more then thread too. They would be parents together, Sally would be her eyes too. It was with this glum thinking that a light went off inside her.... she would no longer be alone...
