Have you ever played a game and then restarted it, I'm sure almost everyone can say they have. So then, let me ask you this. Have you ever thought about what happens to the character when you start over or delete it?

Simple they are erased from existence and forgotten. Every memory anyone had of them is gone, and they just disapear, kind of like torches in Shana.

Or they simply go back in time, to be less depressing. whee

The more I think about it the less I want to start a game over. Who's to say these pixels don't have feelings or anything and by deleting a character you're killing them. I know I wouldn't want to be killed.. Watching .Hack//sign and things like that really do make me think about the pixelated things we play with.

interesting theory, I think that it simply is restarted, like the hindu belief of reincarnation, the character does not die, it is simply started over to the begining.
