Ghostpaw wandered through the woods, padding silently on lupine paws. He'd recently hunted down, killed, and gorged himself on a large buck. Now he was on the move, looking for his next meal, always hungry, always feeling the urge to kill. The soft snap of a twig caught his attention and he moved toward it, already slavering at the thought of his next meal.

 Cheshire was young and on his own. he was barely able to take care of himself so he looked ragged and skinny. even though he was a skinwalker, he was still too young to do everything on his own. his paw snapped a twig as he lurked in the shadows on the tree. his bright glowing strips instantly would give him away if someone was hunting or looking around. a small growl was given as he thought he heard some movement. he stood still with teeth bared to warn anyone lurking that he would give a fight if messed with.

The stallion came to a stop before the colt. He couldn't rightly remember the last time he'd seen a young skinwalker, especially one out on its own. Tilting his head, he took in the dark pelt--a cat, eh?--and the glowing stripes. Strange little beast, but he was one to talk with his own bright blue transparency.
"Why are you here?" he asked, voice only a slight register above a growl.

Cheshire stood his ground as the older male came over to him. his tail lashed about as he narrowed his eyes at him. "do i need permission to be anywhere?" growling, he was clearly on guard and was very defensive. " i go where i want and never been stopped yet." hissing a bit, he clawed the ground a little bit.

"No, you don't need permission," Ghostpaw gruffed out. "However, I'm already hunting here. Go find your own territory." He set a paw down beside the colt's own paws, a silent reminder that he was much bigger.

Cheshire did not like the fact he was reminded rather quickly that he was smaller and way younger than the male in front of him. " i wasn't hunting anyways! like i need someone making it harder for me to get food." pinning his ears back, he really already was having issues being about to catch his own food. he had no parents so he had no one to teach him or help him out with hunting.

Hard to get food? What sort of skinwalker was this colt?

Cheshire gave a snarl at the adult. " i'm small and young.....i can't do all the things a adult can." tail lashing about, sure he knew by instinct how to hunt but that didn't stop the older adults from being able to run him off because he was just a small colt. "if i was big and an adult then i would be able to do as i please." narrowing his eyes, he wondered how this adult could think he could manage on his own just fine just cause he was a pure skinwalker.

"I see. Well, it won't do to have our numbers dwindling because our foals are starving. You can come along with me and hunt. Whatever is left of the kill is yours to eat," Ghostpaw told the colt through gritted teeth, making a big effort to go against his nature and share food.

Chessur now had a twisted grin on his face. he was rather pleased GhostPaw was going to allow him to hunt with him. it would mean he would be getting alot more food that he had been getting on his own even if he was getting the left overs of the kill. " ok." tail lashing about oh how he couldn't wait to be an adult so that he wouldn't have to downgrade himself to getting scraps from an adult.
