I took this list from a Storage guild that Ace and I own. Not resently, but in the past there have been problems with people posting in colors we can't see well. As some of you know, I can not read bright colors. I want to pu this list on the homepage so that people not only know the colors that gaia has, but to pick colors that everyone can read. Ace Brigade ▅▅▅▅▅ → pink ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightpink ▅▅▅▅▅ → palevioletred ▅▅▅▅▅ → hotpink ▅▅▅▅▅ → deepink ▅▅▅▅▅ → red ▅▅▅▅▅ → tomato ▅▅▅▅▅ → crimson ▅▅▅▅▅ → firebrick ▅▅▅▅▅ → indianred ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkred ▅▅▅▅▅ → maroon ▅▅▅▅▅ → brown ▅▅▅▅▅ → sienna ▅▅▅▅▅ → saddlebrown ▅▅▅▅▅ → rosybrown ▅▅▅▅▅ → tan ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkahki ▅▅▅▅▅ → burlywood ▅▅▅▅▅ → chocolate ▅▅▅▅▅ → peru ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkgoldenrod ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightcoral ▅▅▅▅▅ → coral ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightsalmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → salmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → darksalmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → orangered ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkorange ▅▅▅▅▅ → orange ▅▅▅▅▅ → sandybrown ▅▅▅▅▅ → goldenrod ▅▅▅▅▅ → khaki ▅▅▅▅▅ → gold ▅▅▅▅▅ → #EEE9BF ▅▅▅▅▅ → palegoldenrod ▅▅▅▅▅ → yellow ▅▅▅▅▅ → greenyellow ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → lawngreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → chartreuse ▅▅▅▅▅ → lime ▅▅▅▅▅ → springgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumspringgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → limegreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → green ▅▅▅▅▅ → forestgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → seagreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumseagreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkseagreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → olive ▅▅▅▅▅ → olivedrab ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkolivegreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightcyan ▅▅▅▅▅ → paleturquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → #C6E2FF ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightsteelblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → powderblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → cyan ▅▅▅▅▅ → aqua ▅▅▅▅▅ → aquamarine ▅▅▅▅▅ → turquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightskyblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → skyblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → #BDFCC9 ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumaquamarine ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumturquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkturquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → deepskyblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → cadetblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → cornflowerblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → steelblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → slateblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumslateblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → royalblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → dodgerblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → #33A1C9 ▅▅▅▅▅ → #63B8FF ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightseagreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → teal ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkcyan ▅▅▅▅▅ → blue ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → #3D59AB ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkslateblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → navy ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → midnightblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → indigo ▅▅▅▅▅ → blueviolet ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumpurple ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumorchid ▅▅▅▅▅ → purple ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkmagenta ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkviolet ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkorchid ▅▅▅▅▅ → lavender ▅▅▅▅▅ → thistle ▅▅▅▅▅ → plum ▅▅▅▅▅ → violet ▅▅▅▅▅ → orchid ▅▅▅▅▅ → magenta ▅▅▅▅▅ → fuchsia ▅▅▅▅▅ → #FF3E96 ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumvioletred ▅▅▅▅▅ → black ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkslayegray ▅▅▅▅▅ → dimgray ▅▅▅▅▅ → gray ▅▅▅▅▅ → slategray ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkgray ▅▅▅▅▅ → silver ▅▅▅▅▅ → #C1CDCD

Hmm... special colors with some not allowed to be used... hmm... No.
I don't think making a guideline on what colors you can or can't post in is a good idea. If you can't read it, that's really your problem and you can read everything by pressing "quote" or "edit" if it's bothering you to much.

Dakota it can be viewed as a common curtesy for those members/crew with bad eye sight. This way all members/crew can have a fun time rping and not have to worry about either falling behind in rps or just deciding not to post because of how long it will take to go through all the posts quote/edit them just because the person is unable to read the post. Personally, I will request the person to either post in another color/font size (because that is also an issue for me) and if they do not wish to do so, then I simply ignore that persons posts because I refuse to worsen my eyes any more then they already are and the time it takes to sit and read posts through and only stopping and quote/editing the ones with this problem of unreadable colors/fonts will take too much time from my actual posting. Which will result in, not only me falling behind in rps but in me no longer having fun while being and rping within this guild.

Thank you that was what I was trying to say. I know that I am not only affected by this and for some people, I do ignore the posts, or make someone else read them for me.

The best idea would be to just take the colors out of the list, that way no one will use them. Because there are people who are rude enough that will look at the none allowed colors, and use them anyway.

I'd like it to be a suggestion, not a mandate. Preferably, I'd like to skip it all together since this can usually be settled between two people. Also, I know people who, if given the chance, will post in those colors on purpose. I personally haven't seen anyone using those colors so I think it's fine.
Colors you can't read easily that I can. ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumaquamarine ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumturquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkturquoise ▅▅▅▅▅ → deepskyblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → cyan ▅▅▅▅▅ → aqua ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightsteelblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → greenyellow ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → lawngreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → chartreuse ▅▅▅▅▅ → lime ▅▅▅▅▅ → springgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → mediumspringgreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → orange ▅▅▅▅▅ → sandybrown ▅▅▅▅▅ → goldenrod (A color I often use.) ▅▅▅▅▅ → khaki ▅▅▅▅▅ → gold ▅▅▅▅▅ → rosybrown ▅▅▅▅▅ → tan ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkahki ▅▅▅▅▅ → burlywood ▅▅▅▅▅ → palevioletred ▅▅▅▅▅ → hotpink
Colors that you can read, but I can't. ▅▅▅▅▅ → tomato ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightcoral ▅▅▅▅▅ → coral ▅▅▅▅▅ → lightsalmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → salmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → darksalmon ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkseagreen ▅▅▅▅▅ → cornflowerblue ▅▅▅▅▅ → thistle ▅▅▅▅▅ → plum ▅▅▅▅▅ → violet ▅▅▅▅▅ → orchid ▅▅▅▅▅ → magenta ▅▅▅▅▅ → darkgray ▅▅▅▅▅ → silver ▅▅▅▅▅ → #C1CDCD
Our eyesights are obviously different. As is most peoples.

Actually a large majority of the colors you posted can be seen. The ones that are the main issue are either the very light ones or the neon types. Two colors from these types of spectrum's are
khaki khaki
spring green spring green
I am well aware that I posted the exact same thing as what is in color but it is for the benefit of those that have a hard time seeing those words.

I'm just posting one's with strikes through them. I suggest leaving it all together and asking the person yourself. Definatly not a front page thing. Maybe something under a thread called "Must Read! (New Members)" in the main forum.

Or just simply having it to where all members and not just new ones read the thread and post that they understand that those colors are to try and be avoided for some of the members/crew with bad eyesight. There is also the idea of posting the same thing in an announcement with a link to the thread so that all members/crew will see it. There are multiple possibilities that can be done to help either remedy or help with this issue so that it does not happen or become a large issue.
