That's right, I entered a poetry competition! If I win, I could get my poem published blaugh So I decided to put my poem up here and ask for some opinions. The theme of the competition was to write about something that matters to/concerns you. I'd written this one after falling out with a special someone, so basically it's about how a really important thing for all of us is to be loved. (Enjoy! sweatdrop )
Two little birds, sit on the big willow tree. He sings of life, She sings of love.
They are but a pair, of friendly smiles. Beneath the branches their shadows meet and dance with the leaves. But soon winter will come. Two little birds must fly away.
Two little birds, sit on the weeping willow tree. He sings of anger, She sings of heartbreak.
Winter makes the tree turn bare. Two little birds sit apart. Then he flies away. In the pond her reflection is broken, like her.
One little bird, sits on the dead willow tree. He has found another, She will sing no more.
